Just before the weekend, we received a number of reports of the troubled and vexed issue that was the initial reporting on the Hasbro Transformers: Titans Return Arcee figure, initially an early access exclusive for Hascon, then made available for online retail via Hasbro Toy Shop and (we later discovered) Toys'R'Us.
It appears that those who were able to order fine the second time round, are now receiving the figure, according to confirmation emails (such as the one below, from Twincaster megatronus).
Thank you for shopping at Toysrus.com and Babiesrus.com. We are happy to report that the following item(s) have shipped!
Please note: If there is an item(s) in your order that was not shipped at this time, we will notify you via email as soon as it is shipped.
Here is a review of your shipped order:
Item: 26636384
Description: Transformers Titans Return Arcee Action Figure Set
Quantity: 2 @ $24.99
Status: Shipped via: FedEx Ground
We were also informed of the figure's availability on both the main TRU site (as first reported here) and their eBay page - both with limited stock, but still up there at the time of writing. If you missed out, or are looking for a friend, now is the time to do so. Happy hunting!

Absolutely! It's pretty ironic in a line where most of the other characters' heads rip off.

Thanks Will I've been behind when it comes to Transformers purchases although now I have my first credit card and for the time been besides replacing a broken tv I'm not doing anything with it.
Is there also any way to get Terribull? He is the only small Titan master besides Ramhorn I don't have and on Amazon.ca it's only an add on item with everything else being overpriced.

Repugnus is nice but he really only has one good mode, his monster mode. The vehicle and gun are underwhelming. But at least when Grotusque (hopefully) goes up for sale again, I'll be ready.

For right now it's his "pre monster" form in my collection.

And I was only able to attach the guns to the top of the clear Titan Master seat once, now when I try to do it it slips off. I don't see any visible defects on the gun or the clear panel, so I can't figure out why it won't fit.

I brought up the gun when I got the Laser Prime version of the mold. It's been an issue since the original use of the mold. Was tempted to get Octone too but want with Takaras simply for the Starscream Ghost headmaster.

See that's weird, because the guns stay on both of mine just fine, so it must just be QC roulette. In fact, I took Octone on a business trip with me. I put him in plane mode and attached the guns to the top and put him in a box with about 7-8 other figures with him on top. Closed the box, put it in my trunk and drove home 300+ miles. When I got home, the guns were still attached.

I almost pulled the trigger on ebay and man am I glad I didn't. Because I ended up with 3 small QC issues on Cloudraker, all on his right leg. I would have been pissed if I paid inflated prices. None of the issues prevent me from enjoying the figure, as 2 are cosmetic only. I'm not even going to bother returning it. But I would have had a great deal of buyers remorse if I ended up paying extra for them.
The issues I ran into are 1) on his thigh, there are scratches from some type of tooling or something, doesn't effect transformation at all. 2) The larger of the 2 wing pieces has an ugly side where it meets the smaller wing piece, kind of like it cracked a little when they were breaking it from the sprue, doesn't affect transformation at all, in fact it is hidden when the wing is out. 3) The same larger wing piece has some slight tolerance issues where it doesn't fold fully out, like about 5 degrees short of how far the other side unfolds. Not a big deal, I just make the other side match and his wings look just slightly droopy.

Finally found them, although they scanned for $17.99 at the register (& I wasn't going to argue over $1). When I open the set later, I will have to check for those QC issues. That would be one reason not to pay eBay prices. The other is that if I had broken down & bought the set at a marked up price, with my luck I would probably see it at Walgreens a week later.

So, Blitzwing and Octane: thoughts on these two? Don't have a previous version of the mold of these two but I do have Sentinel in the Astrotrain mold.
Mind you, I am saving up for Power of the Primes once it hit and the triple-changer trio weren't originally in my collecting plans...

Hold out Siebertronian's and don't pull the trigger just yet. Here in the West I went to a local WG and found me a set as I too came close to buying on Ebay. (now I can delete all the "saved watches" in my account for this )

Well I have all 3, and I totally get wanting all or none. In my opinion, the Octane version is the best of that mold, and is actually my favorite voyager overall for TR. Blitzwing is definitely an improvement over the Thrilling 30 version. The tank mode suffers a little on the color scheme with the wings forming the back. Both are great molds, and more fun in my opinion than the fairly simple Sentinel/Astrotrain mold (which I do also like).
Getting both of these at a discount might make it worth it to track down an Astrotrain. That's where I think your real question lies. How much on top of Bliztwing and Octane it would take to complete the trio for a mold you already have.

Eh, if you can find Astrotrain at a good price somewhere online, I would buy them both! Octone is a great figure, the 2nd best of TR behind Alpha Trion for me, though the Blitzwing mold has given me some issues, mostly with his legs being terrifying to transform. Astrotrain is pretty good too, though the shuttle mode is definitely better than the train mode

only have the orig use of the molds, but the prime/octane is fun with his other fan modes/legends comic. I wasn't too fussed about getting the standard prime but after picking up nemesis/scourge legend it was hard not to (still waiting on finding the box set with him as g2).
Megatron/blitzwing, megs suffers from bits popping off when transforming (at least on mine) but the plane mode looks great leading my classics seekers and blitzwing doesnt have as short/stubby tank cannon so it's an improvement over the megs (I'm trying to find a megs cheap so I can have him in robot mode as well with it being a nice figure). I'd suggest the legends over the hasbro but as you have the luxury of picking it up at retail it might outweigh importing for some minor differences. The stickers arent great on megs and would have to assume the same for hasbro blitz.

This is why I went Takara. I figured by the time I tracked down the Clone Set and Fast Lane (I missed the first Box) I could sell my Pounce, buy both Takara Sets, and come out ahead. (taking intobaccount the income from Pounce) I actually preferred the Hasbro decos, but thus is so much less stressful

If you dont have Prime and Megs, i would. Love borh molds. For me, I slightly prefer Megatron over Blitzwing, which is why I didnt buy Megatron but caved after getting Blitzy, but they are both fun, both good toys, the Headmaster in the jet cockpit looks great. With Octone, I am ver particular about what I am looking for in an Optimus Prime and that just wasnt it, so I give Octone the better use of (HIS OWN) mold. I want the Legends Scourge, but that aint happening.
These are I think the best neo G1 takes on the figures that we will get for a while, so I would pull that trigger if you think at all that you will be sad to miss out.

Blitzwing is just a Megatron with a sword. Octane has a lot going on with it, including fixing a lot of the issues that people had with Optimus Prime

Tweak the colors on Wingspan and he and Pounce could be minions for Sixshot.
I'm impressed with Wingspan's wingspan.
Hate the jet mode on Sixshot - you can't really have a Titan Master pilot so my son and I came up with a jet mode from the car mode.

That being said, I think this toy is very flawed, at a very very deep level.
It being a retool of Blurr doesnt rub me the right way simply because this is now the 4th toy which uses the same Blurr body with some changes to make it look different in both modes. When it was just redecos with a new head, no one was kidding eachother, we knew exactly what they were. They were place holder, homages, something fun for those who wanted it but nothing essential. Its not like T30 deadwinwg replaces G2 Dreadwing or how Generations / GDO Wheelie is really what we are getting for Wheelie. They are extras, fun things that exist. But this reuse of Blurr is scary. Turning it into 4 different alt modes with robot modes that are distinctive from oneanother by just swapping some parts portrays a bleak outlook on the future. Like we could get a good enough version of any cybertronian plane, car or boat by simply reusing the same mold over and over again. It wont look bad in robot mode, but it will be the same thing, over and over again. So thats one part of it, and it works into the next part.
By reusing the same engineering we end up with an Arcee that looks the part in both modes. And I once said that all I needed was a sleek vehicle mode, a sleek robot mode and a satisfying transformation. Arcee fits the bill on all of those (granted the transformation is assessed independently of it being something I saw before, since it is one of the standout transformations from the Titans return). But her process of conversion doesnt feel right.
See, they give her these iconic G1 details like those shoulder pads, which should be the front of the vehicle, but those parts are fake vehicle kibble. They arent the front of the vehicle and worse off, they dont resemble the front of the actual vehicle this toy transforms into. Its kind of like having Optimus be an airplane and having a very pronounced truck windshield on his chest when he turns into robot mode. This is how that mold reusing is scary, we lose some essential components that have been the basis of this brand and its toys. Her second most prominant visible alt mode kibble is fake, and just there for decoration, simply because it isnt using a mold made to get the desired effect using real parts. Simply said, she doesnt get to earn that look.
Oh and I dont think the alt mode looks great. The retooling means she has the fake shoulder alt mode kibble seen on the side of the alt mode and the front looks like a bottle nosed dolphin rather than the fun lollypop/popcycle front the car usually has.
So there you go, thats my rant on Arcee and why I much preffer the Generations version. We get to have a toy resembling the iconic look which transforms the way it should and uses her robot and alt mode kibble properly in both modes (ie, her hips in car mode and the car front on her shoulder s).

I have tobagree withbyouvon all counts. For me, TR Arcee is the better toy
Since the limbs arent as frail thin which makesbthe gun handles stickbup too much, especially for forarm mountS, and what kibble this has does not almost dwarf the main body. But absolutely, the Generations Arcee is a MUCH better Arcee. Brainstorm has enough different stuff to make him different than Blurr. Its tight, but it works for me. I dont have Nautica, bit I wasnt sold on that Altmode. With Arcee, its a different car clearly, much like the CW giys were reshelled into different cars, but it doesnt have the right profile for a G1 Arcee and it doesnt. Really match the low slung, sleek Hot Rod. O actually ended up jead swapping Leinad and Magnus, I simply could not keep Arcee's head jammed in with the Leinad head. Tbat odd slope is not conducive to a plug

The images show a few interesting differences from the final toy, including: an animation-accurate red visor rather than the toy-accurate yellow on the final Hasbro product; the classic blue-and-black chest panel instead of the eventual clear plastic; a much longer shoulder cannon (with an appearance that suggests a possible composite weapon); and more classic shoulder detailing than we ended up with, along with several other small details. On top of that, the accompanying text posts from Santalucia reveal that the sketches were "based on Blaster from the same line" (whether that means the designs were done concurrently or Titans Return Soundwave's design was actually tweaked from Blaster's remains up for debate), and that the figure's altmode was in fact intended to be a soundbar.
Check out the concept images and accompanying posts below, view the Leader Soundwave they ended up becoming in our gallery of the toy, and as always share your thoughts in the Energon Pub!
I forgot I had never posted my sketches for the Titans Return Soundwave! Created in collaboration with Hasbro design team and based on the Blaster figure from the same line
Soundwave alt mode! It was supposed to be a soundbar, but not many got it

Skritz wrote:With sales at TRU (and a really stocked Transformers rack) I've been thinking of grabbing Blitzwing and Octane. Are they worth it? Kinda need Astrotrain to complete the trio, so I guess finding a place which still sale him would be another factor to consider. This is a bit harder than it look because I initially passed up on Astrotrain when he was shelfwarming but now that Octane and Blitzwing are the one clogging up the store I regret not picking him up.
I'm not sure if you are still undecided, but I did see a couple Astrotrains at Target this weekend, so he might not be as hard to find.

Jesse shares an image comparing this new Ramhorn to a copy he'd acquired earlier this year, showing that the browns are very noticeably different between the two versions. The previous version's brown is lighter and has more of an orange hue, while the presumed variant has a much darker and richer base color - this applies to all brown plastic on the toy, both the rhino-vehicle and the Titan Master figure itself. Even more strangely, neither shade of brown appears to match either the G1 cartoon model or the G1 toy perfectly, the new brown even less so than the old; a running change for more G1-accurate coloring seems unlikely as far as reasoning goes.
It's still unknown at the moment why this running change to the figure exists or what its distribution situation is. Other Twitter users report receiving the original Ramhorn variant in orders of an entire Titan Master case (also from Entertainment Earth) earlier in the year, while Jesse's copy came from the listing for a single Ramhorn figure. For the time being, check out the comparison image below, let us know what you think in the Energon Pub forums, and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for any further updates on this strange occurrence!
Entertainment Earth Ramhorn (on card) vs Ramhorn purchased back in July (loose). The brown is quite noticeably different.

JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Odd, Ramhorn didn't really need any changing... Would it have something to do with the upcoming Amhorn drone included with Legends Perceptor?
I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem like there's any direct connection. LG Ramhorn('s drone) has a different brown again - much closer to the cartoon, and probably the toy, than either of these in fact - so it seems unlikely to me that there's any causation here.
Always possible I suppose, and it is pretty much the best idea we have to go on for now. Very odd.

Same thing happened to me. The order status now says backorder, so I think they took more preorders than they actually received, and we now have to wait for a restock that may or may not come.

Only the head homages the rhino Headmaster. The rhino vehicle itself is still very much Ramhorn's rhino mode design.Rated X wrote:Maybe the color shouldnt matter because it actually homages concept art for an unreleased Japanese headmaster. They shouldnt have even called him Ramhorn. Trying to kill two birds with one stone was the cheap way out.

Outside of the guns on his side, its kind of hard to distinguish one rhino from another. Im not denying that they didnt put some cassette ramhorn in it. Im just saying I like him better with shuffler and lione and I will try to ignore his side guns. (If I ever find him)
