Moving on to the 2011 BotCon figures, the Stunticons, and the Animated attendance figures were previously added to the galleries quickly after their release. Finally joining them are two figures that were bagged together, SG Thundercracker, and SG Galvatron. SG Thundercracker was a repaint of Timelines Thundercracker, decked out in Actionmaster/G2 colors. Meanwhile SG Galvatron used the Cybertron Evac mold.
Also attached to the galleries of G2 Ramjet, SG Thundercracker and the upcoming Ghost Starscream, are pictures of the fleet of twenty official seeker figures! Enjoy!

I love Seibertrons seeker collection. But it wouldnt hurt to add the Rainmakers, Sunstorm, and the Purple clone to the mix. They might not be "official" but damn they are sweet.

I'll wait for official releases. If they never come out, I think I'll be alright since I've got 20 of this mold already. Would love an official Sunstorm though. Would take official releases any day.

Megatron Wolf wrote:dear god thats a lot of seekers, i knew that mold has been repainted to death but didnt think that much. But on another note im glad i didnt waste money on cheetor its a good mold and the paint looks great but that head is horrible, worst in the animated line i think.
The head wouldn't be so bad if it had the paint apps it was supposed to have which would have outlined the eyes.

Regardless of my hatred for TFCC I actually quite like Animated Cheetor, probably my favorite of them all actually. This is one thing that pisses my off about it though, I'd paint a that black on myself if I had steadier hands, but as it is I'd rather not risk ruining an exclusive.
It's stuff like this that kinda shows how TFCC can really be a bunch of cheapskates. Even if it was somehow because of a deadline, it wouldn't matter considering we usually never get the figures until after BotCon anyway.

Galvatron is already part of my collection, but since I don't do the SG thing, he lives with my Cybertron Deceptions as Cybertron Galvatron, while actual Cyb Galvy is Megatron due to his coloring. It's perfect!

Indeed I do have them all. And, yes, it's a bitch to transform them all from storage mode to vehicle mode to robot mode and back to storage mode, which is how they are currently and are already back in storage. I probably won't do a group shot of them again if another one or two comes out. Maybe every 3rd use of this mold or something like that. This time around it was a no-brainer to do all of them because I had 3 Seekers to do.

What exactly is storage mode?

It's what I call this half jet/ half robot mode that allows for the most compact form of these toys while in storage. The jet cockpit remains inside the figure's chest, but the nosecone (on non-coneheads) closes over their heads/faces like it would when in jet mode. The rear tailfins are left in their robot mode configuration flat against the side of the jet/legs, but rotated so that they won't become damaged by sticking up too far. The rest of the robot is in "jet" mode. This provides the most compact mode for storage.
Their missiles/launchers are stored in a separate snack sized Zip-loc baggie, which is then stored with the figure itself inside a quart sized Zip-loc freezer bag. I have the figures grouped into groups of 3 to 5 in larger gallon sized Zip-loc freezer bags (i.e. Coneheads, BotCon/Club exclusives, Classics/Henkei, etc).

Blurrz wrote:So how much market value does the fleet have right now? Must be over a grand at least..
I didn't think that sounded right at first, but it probably is. That's about $50 a piece. Some are worth more. Some are worth less than that average.
I sold a Classics Starscream loose for $60+ on eBay last fall. The Henkei versions each should go for that amount. G2 Ramjet and SG Thundercracker go for more than that.

Look at all of those seekers! Fantastic group shot. Come on Hasbro, you have at least one more good use of this mold. Bring on Sunstorm!

Yes, yes, alternate molds for the coneheads, 2 seperate molds for the originals, I know...
