But I still think the Deluxe version looks better.

Can anybody say if Leaderclass Prime is in scale with the Deluxe Barracade and Jazz?

Yes he's 1/28th scale!

Yup, Leader Prime is in scale with all the Autobots, which is great! Now Leader Class Brawl will also be in scale with the Autobots and *most* of the Decepticons.

But I don't believe that Ratchet and Ironhide are to scale of each other. One of them is really wrong.

I'd have to say yes. I think they made Ironhide too small and Ratchet too big. Topkicks are really big when you see them.
Anyway, that leader Brawl makes him look like he's finally serious. He's getting a desert camo repaint isn't he? I'll be all over that one.

Unfortunately seems like a necessity that the tire treads won't work since they split in half. Would have been good if they could have working tank treads made of rubber.
But one thing I do like: his arm mounted gun is like the on in the movie, not the long barrel as with the Deluxe's.

Bonecrusher27 wrote:I like Brawl, but I've to say Leader Brawl has too many translucent parts such as his shoulder mounted rocket/ grenade launchers that look better on Deluxe, being black. I don't like the translucency of so many parts just so that the lightshow can show through.

Yeah, I was hoping for 40 bucks or so to get rubber tracks that moved somehow.

Other than the clear light up cannons I think he's hands down a solid mold and a must have for my collection

Actually, I think they should redo Blackout as a supreme class. then he WOULD be the biggest decepticon, and they could make him more movie-accurate. Also, there should be a port for the Delux class scorponok to attach to.

And I agree, Blackout is the biggest decepticon and one of my movie favs, so he should get the supreme treatment.

I'm all for a leader class Starscream. The voyager one doesn't do him justice, he looks so blocky in both forms.

... and he has no hands.
This Leader-class Brawl is probably the movie toy I've looked forward to the most, he looks amazing. I love the Brawl design and when I heard they were going to do a Leader-sized one, I was ecstatic!
Now I only need to start saving money, that thing is going to sink me 80$ Canadian (which because of the exchange rate, is still about 80$ American! Yay, it's not fair!)

Go to Wal-Mart, you'll save $10. $59,99 + taxes = $70. Quite expansive, but Optimus was worth it in my opinion. Now Megatron is really not...

I don't like the clear or white parts, and I can't tell if he's still gonna have the same arm issues as the deluxe.
Not to say otherwise this figure doesn't alright.
But for a side character with no real part in the movie except being fodder at the end, and not realy having anything else great going for him, I can't see me spending $40+.
Maybe come clearance, if he goes real cheap, I'll get some and use them as massive assault drones, but otherwise, sorry, he's a pass.

Sonray wrote:Thats gonna make one kickass toy. But why do people call him Brawl when his name is Devastator in the film?
That was a mistake in the movie that was never corrected even after it was pointed out before its general release.

The Clear (and obviously light up) turret tip, and shoulder guns looks odd, and the pearl white foot piece, claw, mine catcher etc kind of detract from what would otherwise be a very nice looking figure.

D-340 wrote:Meh. Looks cool and all, but why a leader class for Brawl? He didn't have a whole lotta screen time to warrant it for me. It would make more sense to have a leader class Starscream or Blackout.
Just curious: do you guys buy movie toys based on screen time or on other factors, such as features, playability, etc? I've heard the same reason why BC isn't doing well and staying on the shelves.
I wonder if Leader Brawl doesn't do well, would Hasbro decide to make more? And how these decisions are made in the first place.

Me, no. I buy the characters that appeared in the movie(save for Wreckage). My reasoning is Dlx. Brawl and FAB Brawl(which the FAB version is for superior to the Dlx. IMHO) are enough for him.
As far as Bonecrusher; loved the toy, love his toy's bio, very disappointed with his 90 seconds of screen time in the movie. Talk about under used.

I also am half-expecting a leader class or bigger Frenzy figure for role-playing...that's the only way you could make him even half-ways accurate. And from what I've heard, the kids loved him...

Until then, I'm sticking with the movie deluxes because I've gotten all the Voyagers and Leader Prime I want.
Posted by Fires_Of_Inferno on July 22nd, 2007 @ 9:08pm CDT
Here's the way I see it.
I have legends class bumblebee, jazz, barricade, and ratchet (planning for ironhide), and FAB optimus.
So then if I get a suprime sized blackout and a leader class starscream, I'd have a bunch of these toys in-scale with eachother.
*big dork*

Your sig rocks, TimeStop. Your own artwork?
Welcome to Seibertron! But be warned: Seibertron contains nuts!
in spite of the NiteBrite clear parts, the more I look at this guy, the more I get tempted. But the priorities are out of whack. A SUPREME, or at LEAST, a LEADER Blackout would be more fitting.
And let's not forget a LEADER Starscream as well!
