1) Bumblebee is mute
2) Megatron looks too chubby...
3) They are only putting 6 characters from each faction on the website. My guess is that they'll be:
Autobots: Optimus, Bumblebee, Jazz, Ironhide, Grimlock, Cliffjumper.
Decepticons: Megatron, Shockwave, Soundwave, Starscream, Bruticus, Kickback.

- I like that it has all of the game trailers archived and in YouTube form.
- Optimus Prime's bio make reference to his Exodus origins.
- Bumblebee's bio mentions that he lost his ability to speak to Megatron. I am both glad and bugged by this, since it causes all sorts of confusion even though it's accurate to TF: Prime.
- There are four more Autobot bios to be revealed.
- Ooooooooh, Megatron's new body looks niiiice. He's gradually coming to better resemble his TF: Prime design.
- His new tank mode even has forward-spread wings not too dissimilar to how his jet wings are spread in Prime.
- Also, he's also got an Exodus-based bio. Tis a shame that WFC itself wasn't as clear on its characters' backstory info.
- Well, well, well, look at what we have here. Shockwave has two actual hands. Eat that, G1 Shocky.
- Eh, why is "Space Bridge" spelled as one word ("Spacebridge")? Typo?
- Four more Decepticon bios coming soon as well.
- Tis a nice image gallery they got there (though, most images are from articles we've seen before). Five more pics to be revealed in due time.
- That's a nice timeline of events the site has there. it's a nice summary of the pre-war, civil war, post-war, and journey events. I chuckle at how they tease at the possibility of the Ark and Nemesis having gone either straight to Earth or to different parts of the galaxy when anyone who's read the books knows which is obviously the true destination (hint: it ain't Earth).
- Iacon, Kaon, Sea of Rust, and Insecticon Hives: four important locations in the game.
Read the novels. Exodus covers the loss of his voice.Wigglez wrote:They better explain about Bumblebees voice. They say his voice got wrecked because by Megatron. In the prequel of the movie, Megatron also did this to that Bumblebee as well. TF: Prime is getting too much llike how the movies were.
Plus, they didn't directly take that from the movies. They took it from the Binder, which itself took it from the movies. There was a middleman in between.

At botcon, for my youtube updates, when I was conversing with folks about FoC, someone mentioned Bumblebee is level one for foc (like dotm?), which i had not heard/seen. And since I KNOW Optimus is level two, that would makes sense - start off with bee, he gets wrecked, optimus helps him out, we switch to optimus.
Good theory. Also very plausible considering how you'll apparently have a smooth transition to switching to other characters. Also, there is a multiplayer section in Game>Features. It says up to 16 players! So that's 8 per team in team based modes. That leads me to assume maps will more than likely be bigger too.

Cliffjumper may not be the largest Autobot around, but he doesn't let that get in the way of picking fights with Decepticons. Fearless and brash, Cliffjumjper's favorite weapons happen to be his fists.
The air commander of the Seekers, Starscream is as ambitious as they come. During the early days of the war, Starscream sold the services of the Seekers to Megatron in order to one day usurp his Decepticon master and take command of Cybertron for himself.

And Starscream. He looks....cuddly? I mean he looks like the little guy who acts tough but you cant take him seriously because your too busy laughing, wich makes him even angrier.

Besides the cuddly part you described Starscream perfectly.

Prior to the war, Jazz was a long time friend to Optimus Prime and now serves as one of his top lieutenants. Jazz is one of the fastest, most nimble Autobots and is also known for keeping his cool no matter how bad the situation might seem.
Soundwave is known for being unquestionably loyal to Megatron. Commanding a an armada of Mini-Con Deployers, Soundave can infiltrate and and acquire enemy intel. Soundwave is often not trusted by other Decepticons out of fear he may also spy on them and report back to Megatron.

Yeah indeed that Bumblebee is mute that isn't right there greatest moves, because just that in the bay movies Bumblebee is mute shouldn't be the right to get him mute in this universe, too.

He was bound to lose his voice sooner or later, since he's already a mute in Prime.Jazz813 wrote:Yeah indeed that Bumblebee is mute that isn't right there greatest moves, because just that in the bay movies Bumblebee is mute shouldn't be the right to get him mute in this universe, too.

It's not a "pre-story from the G1". The game developers know good and well that these games take place in the same continuity as Prime and not G1. They're just using G1 as source of influence for homages and such.Jazz813 wrote:Yeah that's true, too... But it sucks, if the game developper want that this game is the pre-story from the G1, it doesn't add up then. But what the hell, as I said it already with the design of Optimus Prime and Megatron, it's done now, and the game is almost finished so what the hell.

Indeed. And to top it off, he's also mute in Prime. That's at least 3 continuities Bee's mute in, not even including the comics and novels...Jazz813 wrote:Yeah indeed that Bumblebee is mute that isn't right there greatest moves, because just that in the bay movies Bumblebee is mute shouldn't be the right to get him mute in this universe, too.
Poor Bumblebee should've just stuck to being in G1/G2.

Perceptor is one of the most brilliant scientific minds of Cybertron. Despite his dislike of combat situations, Perceptor is an excellent sharpshooter.
Vortex is the interrogator of the Combaticons. Even his fellow Decepticons are disgusted by his advanced techniques for extracting information from prisoners. Vortex takes advantage of his flight mode by surveying the battlefield and blasting any Autobots who find their way into his weapon's scope.
Grimlock is known for not following orders or trusting in Optimus Prime's ability to be an effective leader. As leader of the Lightning Strike Coalition Force, Grimlock enjoys smashing things first and asking questions later. Due to Shockwave's experiments, Grimlock has been left with a malfunctioning voice processor and an alt-mode inspired by...?
Swindle is always looking for a way to profit from the misfortune of others. Being part of the Combaticons allows Swindle the opportunity to scavenge or steal whatever he thinks he can profit from.

Still dunno if Perceptor's playable or not.
There's also profiles for Grimlock and Swindle, who haven't been posted yet.

It's looking unlikely in story mode, but let's hope that Perceptor, as well as every Combaticon and Dinobot are playable in Escalation.Sabrblade wrote:Sa-weet!

I kinda made one, with that altmode anyway. Back in 2007!
It's an old pic because it's in a box somewhere or something. It hasn't been on display for years at this point! Still, the similarities are unmistakable!

-Well I must say I LOVE Perceptor alot more now. I love how he's a tank AND a good sniper for someone who like to not engage in combat. The one thing I don't like about this Perceptor is his headscuplt or more in particular his face...it's Frightening...
-Vortex Looks awesome. Nuff said. His Bio also sounds very cool and I cant wait to play the Vortex level.
-Finally Grimlock made it to the Characters page!!! Holy Primus he is just so awesome to see. Can't wait for his Campaign mission as well. Crossing fingers for Dinobots being playable in Escalation.
-Swindle's cool I guess...I was hoping for Bruticus on the characters page, but hey I guess we can dream.
Oh hey just noticed there is TWO more character slots for both Bots and Cons. More to come in the future!!!

Agreed. He looks like he's possessed by Azazel from Supernatural. Have to admit I'm not sure how I feel about him transforming into a tank. It strikes me as far too out of character.
I looked at the images of Swindle and Vortex here, then went and looked at the images of their figures. That's when a tear rolled down my face.

But it's a shooter game, there isn't a single character in WFC that does "nice" stuff.
They could've given Ratchet/Soundwave Healing Turrets instead of Bullet Turrets (there are healing turrets in the game)
I think they can define the character more with the two skills he has. But I think in FOC you can switch skills during missions/Escalation. Since I saw Starscream Dashing and Cloaking, those are two time-based skills. Anyway, they probably changed it all

They also got his sniping ability down too from his description. These guys are doing a great job with the characters in this game.gothsaurus wrote:Ha! Love that Perceptor. He's a great nod to the original toy's third mode. And the game model has his elbow dials, chest, and cannon all nailed. Great job.

Didn't HMS incorperate Dash in all the characters? Hence replacing the 2nd ability?

I've only just realised what you said. I'm not happy they've increased it to 8-on-8. It's such a childish mentality: more = better!
I like the strategic gameplay that comes with having fewer players. The more players there are then chances are increased that everytime you turn a corner you're going to bump into someone. I find that boring. Why is it games from two, three or four years ago allowed you to set the number of players in a game, but now we have no choice?

Hidden beneath the streets and amongst the buildings of Lacon lies Metroplex. One of the ancient titans of Cybertron. Metroplex is awakened by Optimus Prime to defend Cybertron as an Autobot. His size requires a vast amount of Energon, which limits the amount of time Metroplex can stay in robot mode.
Once a Seeker who served alongside Starscream, Jetfire broke rank during the early days of the war to join Optimus Prime and the Autobots. Jetfire is one of the few Autobots with flight capabilities, which makes him an important resource in the war for Cybertron.
Bruticus is the combined form of all five Combaticons. The combining technique limits Bruticus' processing power, making him a weapon Megatron just needs to point in the right direction.
As a member of the Combaticons, Brawl enjoys the destruction he causes on his own, but always looks forward to the devastation caused by uniting into Bruticus. Brawl has the shortest temper of all the Combaticons.
