Not to mention I'm still waiting for Metrotitan, Hasbro and Takara!

Well good news for you, Hasbro confirmed in a recent interview that they plan on making 1 titan figure a year from now on :D

And while Burn might look intimidating, let me reassure you guys that he is warm and fuzzy when you get to know him. The shortages for the legends girls was because people were buying a bunch per person. I doubt someone will order 3 UW devastators. And in any case, Takara Arcee is still available for cheap.

My wallet and my display space cannot handle a titan a year! Maybe every other year....Please?... :BOT:

I am sure everything will come eventually. There are very few titans out there compared to all the years we have left on this planet.

For such a young buck, you are a very wise man Billy Jim. I'm old, and it's taken me a long time to except the fact that patience is the most important part of this hobby. Good things come to those who wait.

Seeing Long Haul in that guys hands really put into perspective how freakin' big these guys are. AWESOME!

That's very kind of your Cobotron. I am just amazed that Hasbro said one a year. Just think of it, that means that in 5 years we will have 5 titans :michaelbay: I don't think my house is big enough for that.

Anyways... that Long Haul is one big bot. He reminds me of those Ultra sized transformers (between leader and voyager).

There's plenty of Devastator to go around these days, and Planet Iacon has uploaded a shot comparing the Retail Hasbro Combiner Wars Devastator to the upcoming SDCC Exclusive version! The retail version has just started hitting the market in Australia, the US, and online at ToysRus.com, while the shiny exclusive version will be available at San Diego Comic-Con July 8th to 12th. All that's left to see is TakaraTomy's Unite Warriors rendition, but there's no release date slated yet. $149.99 isn't a bad price for Devastator. I thought his retail cost would be around $300 - $400.

I honestly don't like the metallic purple; I prefer the old-school purple. As for the details, Reprolabels will take care of that.

What's with the elbows/forearms in that picture where they're side by side? Are the elbows just rotated differently?

As anyone can guess from a quick look at my avatar, I prefer my Devys to be rockin' the shades. Combine (get it?) that fact with the inconsistently placed chrome purple on the SDCC version, and it's a very easy pass for me. Mind you, if I can get Unite Warriors Devy, then Hasbro's is an easy pass, too...

Two things I wish that Takara Tomy had carried over to their version from the SDCC version is the extra purple where the legs meet the hips (cartoon accurate) and the hashmark caution stickers mimicking the G1 toys.

If Hasbro was going for an "ultimate G1" deco with their SDCC version, I don't know why in God's name Hasbro opted to vac-metal some of the purple parts instead of the silver parts. Nobody likes the pink metal business; at best, some people are tolerating it to get the extra decals and paint apps the SDCC version additionally offers.

I always did wonder why Devastator only had that head for that ONE scene. Obviously they whipped up that episode while Devastator was still being worked on. The basics are there, just not 'finished'. (In the episode, Scrapper called Scavenger 'Scrounge' instead of Scavenger, so they must also have been confused about the names)

But I'm looking forward to Titan Trypticon - I had G1 Trypticon back in the day....

Your comment assumed SDCC is our only option which it isnt. What I am saying is that with a Hasbro version available, wooing your audience into buying a more expensive one aint gonna happen when the cheaper version has the more accurate headsculpt and actual paint on it. The Hasbro version is a little shaky backwards since they didn't paint the details aside from the black windows and stacks, but the Takara Tomy version should look pretty good backwards with all the truck details painted in.

I think Seibertron should run a poll to see if people prefer the retail or SDCC version of Devastator most since it seems to be less about price and difficulty and more about aesthetic choices.

My choice is definitely retail, I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in an SDCC exclusive.

No, I noticed that too, I found it really funny; putting the 2 side by side really brought out a lot of weird stuff in the deco. If I get any version, it will be the TT version. I was merely pointing out that stuff like the forehead do keep people from buying something that they've wanted forever.

Its a good thing those people who wanted it forever have a choice in the version they want. A more apt feature to comment on would have been the elbows. How much are the elbows worth to people (including me). We will find out when it's on preorder. I am personally hoping for 175$ US or under at amiami.

Hasbro's Combiner Wars Devastator just can't stay out of the news as he hits the website of another brick and mortar store: Target.com for $149.99! Reported earlier at ToysRus.com, he's certainly making the rounds. If you're worried about finding him at retail, then grab one of these pre-orders while you can. I'm guessing it will very well received. From the comments I've read, every person who even considers displaying them separately are waiting to see what the price will be.

Personally I would be willing to pay an additional $50 for a PREMIUM paint job, just see TT's Devastator just dripping in painted details, like a Behr store just sneezed on it

Eh... those aren't windows. Those are the vents for the engine that rotates the drum. It's not a second cab.

Takara Tomy is definitely treating it like a second cab.

They even painted the bar between the windows to look like Mixmaster's single cab window.

That's an interesting and unique way of being both a modern vehicle and G1 accurate at the same time; I kinda like it

Still would've liked a ball-jointed neck on him, and the silverbolt and hot/slaught torso mold.

Personally I would be willing to pay an additional $50 for a PREMIUM paint job, just see TT's Devastator just dripping in painted details, like a Behr store just sneezed on it

Not to dissapoint but he wont be. The SDCC version still has the most paint apps, TT is just trying to be as G1 as possible. There are better paint apps sure, but he isn't drenching in them:

I know what he will look like; I was actually hearkening back to the first movie and the "premium" sub-line where everyone got a spiffy new or better paint job. It wouldn't sell well if the general retail version was $200+ just for paint apps, but if they released a pseudo-masterpiece version or a 'premium' version with a lot of painted details, I think it would sell really well to collectors.

As for being 'G1 accurate' that's just a sleazy cop-out to leave most of the figure unpainted. Nostalgia wasn't stopping them from painting additional vents or pipes in silver or black. There's nothing keeping them from applying a little more paint to, say, the hydralics on Scrapper's lower legs, or Devs' thighs. Few G1 fans would decry it for 'not being G1 accurate' if they applied those, or others.

At the very least, the Takara one has more paint apps than the Hasbro retail one.
