I'm curious though, the screenshots we've seen for the game show Blast Off as a gold/silver spaceship, and Vortex as more of a gold/red. I wonder if they plan to change them in-game as well, or if Hasbro just decided to do their own thing.

Ah well, as the first proper gestalt team since Energon, they're molds well worth milking. Think FunPub will do them in full-on G2 colors to represent the Shattered Glass Combaticons? Do they have bios yet?
Let's see: SG Onslaught can't plan ahead but stays mellow when his meager plans fall through, SG Brawl is a master of stealth, SG Blast Off likes to get up close and personal with his targets, SG Vortex maintains complete stability even in the stormiest conditions, SG Swindle spends all his free time doing charity work, and SG Bruticus just plain won't follow orders, unlike SG Fangry.

In a good way, I've always liked the WFC/FOC aesthetic. Even if the combiner mode is crap, the five individuals should be fine.

Agreed, IMO better than scout fig (FP's Crossfire add on).

Is that cos your statement that Hasbro could do great combiners isn't holding up so well?
Spider5800 wrote:To be fair, the only one that seems REALLY off is Vortex ... I wonder if they plan to change them in-game as well, or if Hasbro just decided to do their own thing.
Hasbro ALWAYS do their own thing. Just ask leaders Jetfire and Ironhide.

I dont get why not the hole display works on showing in package , robot and alt it would have been great to see a full diplay.
I liked Swindles original beige?colour we seen in the first images much better than bright yellow, i think am just gonna go along with vortex till we see a repaint its bound to happen and i realy want to see blast off he looks much better purple
Bruticus gun is pure shite probably should have made something that looks like a gun mabey one big one that can split into two small guns.
All bought on site for there individual figures.

I'll definitely be going with the Takara version if one comes out in G1 colors. This is too bright.

Why should we? What's this got to do with the movies?

Cyber Bishop wrote:I may still pick this up but it does not beat the Bruticus that we have now with the 3rd party additions.
To quote Conner Macleod "There can be only one" and 3 party Bruticus is it the only way that can ever be topped is by FP making the other 3 combaticons.
Posted by Gauntlet101010 on February 13th, 2012 @ 8:56am CST
I may get it anyway because the individual guys look heads and tails better than their Classicsverse counterparts (although maybe not the FP versions), but I think FP upgraded Bruticus shall remain the Bruticus for me.

Gah; I greatly preferred the earlier colors that were more muted and (except for Vortex) shared a subtle theme. Now everyone's saturation has been cranked to blistering.

sorry but the only thing that kills it for the most part are the terrible shoulders. seriuosly! why are his shoulder the combiner pegs alone!make him look like bricks connected to each other through glued on sticks.
that goes for the hips too.

Seriously guys, I wasn't really expecting much of it, since Generations, which will house all FOC toys, is Deluxe-only, so Onslaught suffers the most from that fact. So he's suffering from G1 Predaking-syndrome
I'm considering him, yes, as I'm a big fan of combiners.
Posted by Rated X on February 13th, 2012 @ 11:02am CST
To top it all off they made Blast off blue so you can have one of every color in the rainbow. Very educational. Now kiddies listen up, when you mix red, blue, yellow, and green, you get PUKE (Onslaught)
Please Takara save him !!! Make a G1 colored version !!!

and all those smiles still don't describe enough of how much desgust is given off from it.

Why can't Hasbro leave well enough alone?
Edit: "It was stated at Toy Fair that this just a physical prototype that isn't in the final colors."
I hope this is indeed the case. Blech on G2.

2. this is the first combiner that we have gotten that wasnt an Energon repaint or Legends class
3. while ill admit the arms seem a little too big, it still looks pretty good to me
Posted by Skullcrunchberries on February 13th, 2012 @ 1:46pm CST
Fine by me; I tend to stick with one combination per combiner anyway, and it lends itself to a less complicated design process if the limbs only have three modes instead of four anywho. Consider these guys bought upon discovery

I hope iGear or someone KOs and inflates Onslaught to improve the proportions of the better coloured and painted Takara version.
