Probably, but I think this is more about sharing inside info and using negative language when referring to a company they want to work with (the whole companies eating companies thing). This sounds less like a correction and more like a public apology.

Yes, more an apology than a correction

Since it's Twitter I don't know if the intended tone is one of annoyance or just matter-of-fact, but the CCO at Activision got wind of the comments and posted this, which appears to have prompted the Hasbro apology: https://twitter.com/lulumeservey/status ... xhlNQ&s=19

As for GE figures: do proper Dinobots. But please do the live action dinobots first, let those get finished before we start GE ones, which I really want too

I'm sure that many would buy them even if they already have the originals on PS3 or X-360.
Myself included.

Maybe, but he has a continuing streak of lack of brand knowledge on which ever brand they assign him to, definitely needs to be out of the lime light when it comes to talking about products.

I actually think he's one of the most interesting designers to hear talking about the toys.

My son really wanted to play those games though, so he bought himself a PS3 I think he has a total of 5 games including WFC & FOC.

Awesome thanks WJ!
Rtron wrote:I hope Evan doesn't get in too much trouble, he's a designer, not a PR guy. And he's always come across as genuine. If anything, it's Activision's fault for not giving them the assets... I wouldn't be surprised if what Evan said was something someone from Activision told the design team so they'd stop asking for the 3D files, and he just parroted it(which I always find funny the Hasbro team calls "CAD", as they'd never call it that in the context of videogames, probably neither they would be in movies).
I second this. I hope he doesn't get in trouble, and I hope they don't tell him to say less. I agree Rtron, someone must have told him that from Activision.

Hasbro pulse thing way back:
Zoids - he said Zoids Wild toys was generation 2 of zoids...erm...90s and chrome was an actual thing, an actual thing called Zoids 2.
Fair enough if he is a designer and doesnt have to do much with toys that another company has designed but at least hype them right and respect the long history.
Most recent with the transformers comment on a super nintendo transformer released in Japan...which semantics aside would have been a super famicom transformer but it would have actually had to exist.
With transformers in the past some of the paint choices and explanations of why a character had to be this or that, cant remember the specifics. I know I havent watched that many pulse things or design talks with him in it but I'm pretty sure in near all of them there has been a lack of knowledge with the subject matter.

This comes from my experience as a professional number-cruncher and researcher who feeds the results of my work to other people who can use it better than I can for what the organization does.
I don't have any PR experience, and I don't mind that. That can be pretty scary, and there's also a department in my organization that specializes in that so that no one else has to.
This applies to every career, skill, and talent: If it were so easy, everyone would be doing it!

Sabrblade wrote:I dunno about Evan being all that unfamiliar with the brand, since some of the Hasbro Pulse livestreams have shown him to have a vast personal collection of figures from all across the past 39 years of the brand. One video even saw him hold up to the camera his copy of RID 2001 Landfill fully combined, and saying he'd like to see a new modern version of it made someday.
Seriously, he once literally had a shelf of his own filled to the brim with various old Optimus toys behind him while showing Ironhide.
And as Battlemaster says, PR is a pretty scary job and the transformers "lore" is super extense, the guy is a designer, which is an extensive enough discipline, if he's a fan on top of that and is even competent in front of a camera, then that's a nice bonus.

Ok yes, this rings a bell. And now I remember that in that same interview he said he chose Nacelle to complete a trio, which is an odd thing to say if one is nitpicky.

Transformers is a pretty big brand split pretty noticeably across various regions, can't blame a guy for not being super familiar with every nook and cranny - especially as just the designer. Cool that he still does know some of the more "out there" things, though.

Devastation did end on a cliffhanger. Arguably so did Fall of Cybertron. Unfortunately a pseudo-sequel did kill that momentum outright.
Also interesting to think that the Genericons of both games (and the Armada game) could in theory be represented in this line. Also Nemesis Prime ala Devastation's design.

i found the Bee mold acceptable, and it can be fun, especially since I didn't get very many WFC/FOC molds back in the day, since I was a highschooler. Cliff continues that. He is decent, and I like the headsculpt. I need to pair him up with Jazz now.
As for Megatron, he is a legitimately bad figure in hand. The sculpt looks good, but that is about it. The knees really are terrible, they can lock in 2 positions and there is no inbetween or further movement. He also feels small in hand, compared to Prime. And considering his big ass weapon, I really thought he would have wrists, and he doesn't, which sucks. I don't like him, he's not good.
He does pull off some nice blast effects shots though

I've seen those two as well as Bumblebee and Airazor a few times, haven't seen Scourge yet. Still, feels like two waves behind with Cliffjumper out now.

Thank you! I think the big details that help the proportions are the gunmetal on the lower legs and the alt mode flap that pokes below the chest that I painted to resemble Bee's lower abdomen

Yup. I "hate" that bee, but with more paint, I love it!
Still, there's one very important detail missing, and that's something you can't do with paint. The glowing neon lights details.
So, I really recommend you to get the Reprolabels for Gamer Bee. Then apply the labels needed only. With your paint and the Repros, you'll have perfection.

Thanks! Those reprolabels do look very nice, I wouldn't be able to get the same reflective effect with paint.

Ge5 the best of both worlds!
Plus the leftover labels could always be used for something else.

That chest could have been made with a fake part while the real cockpit would have been hidden inside. I think the inevitable Reprolabels set will fix that.
As forvthe vehicle mode it's accurate to the concept art, but I haven found a clear picture of the in game model.

They all looked better in the stream than in hand. Soundwave is a bit skinny since it seems like they tried to really stretch him from Deluxe almost Voyager height but he looked a little better on the table.
They kept stressing that these figures were only going to get a limited release on Pulse and Amazon so I'm curious how long they'll stay in stock. Maybe this is their version of a "First Edition" since we're so far from the game release and a proper SS Gamer Edition will come later to retail.
They also said these were on the boat and will be out before the end of the year, but Pulse says February so we'll see if they're being optimistic or not.

Nope, there is no tab or anything to tab it.
