Who has had luck finding this toy in stores? While he has been out in the US, there is not enough stock at the moment to answer the demand which has lead to high prices on the secondary market. But is this toy worth it? We have a review below for anyone interested in knowing the most about Studio Series ROTB Optimus Prime from the Buzzworthy line.

I had one preordered through target and pulse, since they have been less reliable lately with preorders. My pulse one shipped and should be here tomorrow, so i cancelled my Target order which was backordered to August 10 as of my cancellation

I managed to snag mine last Sunday. Got lucky, the target that sucks actually had a lot. The new 3 pack, leader gridlock, prime and low line.

Hello. Lets get straight to the point, I do not live in the US, UK or Europe and i cannot order myself a SS ROTB Optimus Prime which is why I have to ask for help. There is a service in my country that can help me deliver packages from UK or US and if your local Target(or any other store) has him and you can purchase multiple of him, please contact me. If you're looking for Tow-Line be sure to check everywhere. It has a tag on the main aisle endcap facing electronics, but for whatever reason they stuck him on the back endcap with the clearance stuff (at full price) at my local Target.

Well, I got IronProwl on Wednesday, Tow-Line on Thursday, and Prime on Friday. I was hoping the app would put the new 3-pack up for sale, but I'm scared that every Target I go to won't have it. Same goes for Beast Weaponizer Arcee.

I got my corpses and Prime, I'll talk about them more in their main threads. But for these purposes, the corpses are hilarious and I love the fun I am having, and Prime is pretty good.

I finally found the Scorponoks at my local TrU so I got 2 sets to troop build some minions for my ROTB Scourge. They are pretty damn awesome, despite the obvious hollows.

Finally took a little time and performed a parts swapping surgery with my Prowl and Ironhide figures.
I knew this wasn’t going to work out “perfectly”, however I’m more than happy with the results.

Prowl’s procedure was a bit more tedious because of the screws behind the front bumper/headlights.
Also, just fyi for anyone else who may try this— the interior of the ER figure’s head is smaller than the interior of the Buzzworthy/SS86 version’s…. It is a super tight fit…

Ironhide’s procedure was relatively smooth and straight forward. No issues with switching the head.
I don’t love having the transparent windshield, but who knows, at some point I may try and paint that myself. The good news with this one was that my SS86 figure had an issue with the torso not locking into the top of the waist. It wasn’t even close.
But this connection on my Buzzworthy version is tight and works as it should.

So there’s still some traces of clear plastic parts on these guys, but I’d say this was a success.
While I’m left with a couple unused figures, thankfully insurance, aka clearance, made this a less financially risky pair of surgeries.

I did it with Prowl, less invasively than that (not that there's anything wrong with what you did, but I didn't feel like screwing with pins)

I already had a Siege head on my Earthrise version, but I just switched the waist, wheels and doors. At some point I make take the roof the car off so he can transform properly.

We got potentially bad news for fans. TF fan Jared contacted us to let us know that his order for Studio Series 102 voyager ROTB Optimus Prime has been cancelled. His friend's order was cancelled too. We don't know if this is an isolated incident or not, but we wanted to share it with you. Has this been happening to you? Let us know!

Thought it might be interesting to know that in addition to Hasbro Pulse cancelling orders recently for Legacy Nacelle, a friend and I both had our orders for Studio Series 102 Buzzworthy Optimus Prime cancelled by Target last night. We had placed preorders in June and had the orders delayed multiple times before getting cancelled outright. When I contacted Target support about it I was told it was due to limited inventory. If you hear from anyone else about it and can determine that it's a widespread issue, could be an interesting article.

Announced last night. There are a number of Target stores closing due to retail theft, so this could be the beginning of a trend moving forward. Target has lost a ton of money over the past few years for a bunch of reasons.

I would strongly suggest suing Target for this because “limited quantity” is a very poor excuse for them to just cancel your order out of nowhere when you’ve paid good money for that figure and you’ve been waiting very patiently for its arrival.

Yeah, I agree with you on both counts. First, didn't seem like a grievance just a reference to their recent multi billion dollar losses (that they are being sued by stockholders for, so it's well documented).

Second, WalMart and Upscale WalMart (aka Target) don't seem to have a good record on preorders. I'm seeing a constant stream of "WalMart/Target cancelled my preorder again" on this forum and on multiple FB groups. While not good business practice, these preorders don't even register as a teensy blip in their overall gross income so they won't do anything differently in the future.

DOn't care as I don't own stock, just stating that there are lawsuits as a fact not a judgement. ALL Stockholders lost money and there are multiple suits. It's their right to expect competent business leadership and usually the loss of monetary value of this magnitude is a red flag. Suits like this are commonplace. Politically, don't give a rats patoote as I hate both sides equally.

The reason people preordered with Target in the specific case of this ROTB Optimus Prime figure, as opposed to preordering with either BBTS or TFSource, is because the figure in question is a Target-exclusive Buzzworthy Bumblebee figure. BBTS and TFSource wouldn't get this one in stock. So Target canceling preorders for this one figure is disconcerting because Target is the only venue from which this figure is available.

I've actually seen the figure in person at my local Target maybe once or twice, so it is at least out there in the wild, physically. For those who still want it, happy hunting.

I look on the cancellations as just an ancillary continuation of the general lack of reliable supply and distribution of some figures. Especially ones that seem to be in demand. After what happened with Velocitron Cosmos, the Centurion Drone pack and other figures, why should another troubled release come as any surprise?

The Bumblebee movie Optimus that recently popped up on Pulse is the reissue. This is an almost entirely new mold with very few parts borrowed from Beewun Prime.

Nope, this RotB Optimus Prime is a Buzzworthy exclusive: it hasn't appeared in the regular Studio Series lineup.

Pretty sure Target cancellations are automated. They set a release date and when they don't come into stock they send you an email to approve the delay, and they keep doing so until it just outright cancels the order. The same day I got the first notice for Prime I got a notice for an upcoming Masters of the Universe figure set also being delayed at the exact same time. Every time I got delays approval notices for both products it was the exact same time and they both got cancelled at the exact same time. There's still a possibility that these will be in stock later. Any issues Target is having with theft in stores would have no correlation with online cancellations. Also they don't charge you until it's in stock and there's no guarantee so I don't know what you'd sue them for.

On a happier note, got a "shipping soon" notice for my two BB troop builder 4 packs.
