Fellow Seibertronian Rainmaker has a double feature news piece today, directly from Canberra, Australia. After finding both the Mission to Cybertron Megatron and Skullitron exclusives, they proceeded to prepare a full pictorial review of the latter, newer figure with the different head sculpt to regular retail release - check it all out below!

I spotted the TLK MtC Deluxe figures Megatron and Skullitron in a Toys R Us in Canberra. They were $30, $5 less than the Premier ones which are $35. But the Premier ones are on a sale right now ($5 off) so the MtC ones might be as well.

Rainmaker wrote:Okay, here it is.

First off, the robot mode. The robot mode is okay, the headsculpt is great. It has decent articulation. You can put it in some cool poses but some you need to use the transformation joints. Also, if you tried hard enough I'm pretty sure it could duel wield it's sword. The only thing letting it down is how the beast kibble usually gets in the way and the chest keeps coming undone, making him annoying to play with because his chest goes all floppy. His knee articulation is also hindered by the beast kibble, but you can fix that by pulling the tail and head out of his legs.

Robot Mode - 6/10

Next, the transformation. I hate the transformation, things get in the way and things pop off a lot while transforming. The transformation is unique though, but because of that the beast mode suffers. The legs split to become the dragon tail and head, because of this the head and tail are uneven.

Transformation - 2/10

Finally, the beast mode. The beast mode is flimsy, it doesn't have much articulation and barely counts as a dragon. I know it's supposed to be Cybertronian but there's too much robot kibble. A top-down view of the dragon makes it look horrendous. The uneven tail and head also kills it for me, and the poorly molded hind feet. There's also no storage for the weapon. (If there is, the instructions fail to mention it)

Beast Mode - 3.5/10

I do not recommend this figure, the only reason I want to keep this is for the Mission To Cybertron card so I can put all the cards together and finish the puzzle. But I'm just gonna refund it anyways and pick up Megatron or Berserker because guess what? These are the same price as their counterparts, yay!

Overall - 4/10 (Poor)

Damn that head sculpt looks great, he looks terrifying.

Also picked up TLK Slug the other day, and I'm gonna pick up the Voyager Megs soon since he's out here in my country.

While all the toys from the mainline of Transformers: the Last Knight have been revealed, we can do with more images of the unreleased ones. Our usual Weibo source has new stock images of the what the finished toys of Deluxe Bumblebee and Crosshairs will look like and how they are packaged. These are both from wave 3 along with Strafe and Cogman.

Enjoy!

Kind of a remold, I guess. His trench coat works differently, and his vehicle mode has been remolded to better represent his corvette alt-mode. And yes, he is sporting some new paint apps in car mode.

Also, Bumblebee's knee spikes are yellow like they should be now, in all the pictures we've seen so far, they've been silver. Man, I can't wait for this figure! ;)^

What's with Bee's mega butt-flap? I understand many feel it is improperly transformed, but I'm not so sure. Are there any other pics that show the hood folded up onto his back?

Judging by the stock photos and the pins, the backpack will hug farther up like on past bees, but better. If you do want a butt accessory his gunarm can peg there

We have sightings from around the world that are first or early for their area, all regarding Transformers: The Last Knight

USA

Titan Changer Megatron, who transforms in 5 steps, has been found at Walmart in the US by Rookbartley from TFW2005.

Image

Canada

The Mission for Cybertron 2 pack of deluxes has been found at Toysrus, by Seibertronian Kanrabat, for the price of $70 CDN.

Image

Cybertron.ca user cli1ck found the Wave 2 voyagers at Walmart in Ontario, Canada, and Pascal from the same site found the Wave 2 legions in Quebec.

Image

Philippines

In Manila, the aforementioned Wave 2 voyagers were also found along with the sought after leaders, both Megatron and Optimus. These sightings come from Cybertron Philippines.

The Optimus 2 pack sells like crazy near me, so I'm guessing 35 cad per figure is basically 2 loaves of bread for the price of 4 pounds of filet mignon!

It might have been nice if Bee had a mounting point for his gun on his shoulder as well as holding it in his hand - or replacing his hand.

It would a bit like his 2007 Shoulder Rocket launchers then.

------

I don't personally have an issue with Skullitron/Steelbane being floppy i'm sure it's easy enough to fix with whatever the appropriate required combination of resin glue, nail Polish and Floor polish might be.

It's sad. The molds look rather nice, but the severe lack of paint makes them look like dollar store KO's. Couple that with their lovely price hike... damn what a kick in the teeth.

Seibertronians Maverick Prime and RAR have notified us that youtuber Chefatron has reviews for two new Transformers: The Last Knight legion class toys, Hound and Dragonstorm. These are part of the third and final wave of legion class figures. Unlike the leader version of Dragonstorm, this legion class figure turns into one singular robot.

Looks pretty cool...

Walmart-exclusive?? So Hot Rod is only available at Walmart OR this version of him? :-?

I have most of the Walmart-Exclusives from the other movies, but those were usually either repaints of the then current toys or old molds re-purposed.

I will probably get him either way, was just curious.

Can't help imagining them doing a repaint of him Old School- G1 paint job on this mold, could be wicked.

Not to mention all those blatant hack job brush strokes all over the armor. It's a total garbage paint job. It's shockingly bad actually.

I can't stand Lockdown's deluxe figure (even though I have him), and Hot Rod's movie character is probably going to suck, but I am digging deluxe Hot Rod's alt mode, those paint apps, and larger size! I get more and more drawn to this figure the more I look at it. It's not worth $20, but would gladly pick him up on sale.

-Kanrabat- wrote:My priority is the voyager for Megatron. The leader, I may still get but only on clearance.

The voyager is pretty good but he is a bit kibble heavy in both modes with piece from one mode trying to hide in the other one and faling (lik the wings in robot mode and shoulders/pecs in vehicle mode.

But hes good and I like his integrated arm cannon.

Hound is fine but I dont know if I like him better than the previous one. He is far more of a shellformer this time with more alt mode kibble stuck around the robot mode. The articulation for the legs is very restricted. But not a bad figure by any means, just not overly imaginative (like the previous one). Looks more like Hound though, so there's a plus. Not sure if I should do a pictorial review, have we seen enough of these guys?

zatara1701 wrote:Looks pretty cool...

We knew One Step Cogman was coming for a while now but we never saw the toy fully revealed. Finally, this toy was found in Toy Kingdom in Makati, in the Philippines along with a totally new toy that was never revealed before: One Step Scorn!
You can see images of these toys in their packages below. They were found by TFW2005 member vproject. Legion Dragonstorm and Hound were also found in this store and you can view reviews of those two legions here if you are interested. There is currently no review for these newly revealed one steps so if any of you find some online, let us know!

I think that's the point.

He's supposed to be old, rusted, and decayed. The entire point is he looks damaged. Its intentional. This is also an extreme closeup. In reality the paint on the face should probably look fine to naked eye, disfigured sure, but that's the point.

It gets across the disfigurement he's suffered. He's not supposed to have a nice pristine face.

But that covers like 50% of the toys that should be based on licenced vehicles. Saying the premiere line is the only one with licenced vehicles becomes quite the hyperbole.

Plus we have no clue what Berserker is really supposed to be or even if he is in the film. So his one step could be just as legit as his deluxe if he doesnt exist.

Also, I am now wondering if Sqweeks has a mercedes trademark on all his premiere line stuff only because his cross sell is Drift :-?
If he has a mercedes trademark on everything linked to him, but isnt a mercedes, does that make him still licenced?
