Bumblebee Takes the Spotlight in an All-New Animated Series from Hasbro Studios
Cartoon Network will unleash TRANSFORMERS: Robots in Disguise on Saturday, March 14 at 6 p.m. (ET/PT) with a special one-hour premiere event. The latest installment in the iconic franchise features an all new animation style, and builds upon the lore of the iconic Transformers franchise filled with great humor and lots of fun adventure for fans of all ages.
The new series begins as Bumblebee must step up to be a leader in the years after we left the Autobots in Transformers Prime. Summoned by Optimus Prime to save Earth from a new Decepticon threat, Bumblebee puts his light-hearted mettle to the test after assembling a rogue team of young Autobot action heroes. Bumblebee must balance his job fighting off evil with being equal parts squad leader and coach to a rascally band that needs constant coaxing to learn how to work together. The results are comical when the cool rebel Sideswipe, elite guard cadet Strongarm, bombastic dinobot Grimlock and overly-excited mini-con Fixit must balance keeping the team together with chasing and capturing their new enemies in every episode packed full of action, fun and adventure.
Following the premiere event, new episodes can be seen every Saturday starting on March 21st at 6:30 a.m. ET/PT.

It's because Cartoon Network is more accessible to a wider amount of viewers. More kids watch CN than the Hub, so Hasbro Studios wanted the show on a channel that more kids (especially boys) watch. It's all due to exposure.Seibertron wrote:Metro Prime wrote:Man, that timeslot sucks. It's the same time they gave Transformers Animated, and look how that turned out!

Doesn't a horrible timeslot mean they won't get that exposure?

On the, honestly kinda depressing side, the average ratings for 6:30 am time slot on Cartoon Network is still 850,000 viewers.
Which is STILL better than The Hub's top new episode premiere ratings which averaged 650,000. CN's death timeslot is still better than The Hub's best was.

Where's Windblade? This isn't going to be just another "female Transformer's name used on a Mini-Con" scenario, is it?

Why would they show a character who's only recently just entered the rumor stage along with characters who have been established as real for months now?Metro Prime wrote:Where's Windblade? This isn't going to be just another "female Transformer's name used on a Mini-Con" scenario, is it?
Like, they didn't show Airachnid or Dreadwing in the first promos of Prime.

Around 0.46-0.52, bottom right corner. Looks like Windblade to me!
Also, she has been rumoured to be in the show, and Mairghread Scott is writing some episodes for the series, too. Speculation? Sure, but I think there is foundation to it.

Oh ho! That looks promising. I really hope that she is the same character as her IDW twin (as in the same slightly naïve personality). Also, she should be voiced by Tara Strong, just because.

That is true, but not counting Peter Cullin, what G1 voice is more Iconic than Grimlock's ?
Heres my top 5 picks for G1 cartoon iconic voices:
1. Optimus
2. Grimlock
3. Starscream
4. Megatron
5. Perceptor
I know the Starscream actor is dead, but it should be mandatory to bring back the other 4 in every new cartoon, not just Peter Cullin.

Why is Soundwave not number 2?
Soundwave is more iconic then Grimlock and Grim would be at number 5 at that list and the hell is Perceptor doing there he wasn't that important.
Plus cartoon Grimlock is stupid and not that many in the fandom like him especially compared to the marvel comics version I prefer this Grimlock over maid Grimlock (you know what I mean when I say maid).

According to the Master Of Destruction clip from youtube, Bisk is being described as a big, bulky muscular bot, with a voice like that of a young man. What you say about that? Is Clampdown the youngest Decepticon, since that he is the smallest in size and the newest member of Steeljaw's army? I do hope that Bisk, Chop Shop, and Terrashock do show up at this year's Toy Fair. Bisk and Chop Shop, showed up on Episode #4, and Terrashock showed up on Episode #5. I was hoping to see a Warrior class of the Underbite, Quillfire, Ped, and Clampdown, and quite possibly that skunk, that is yet to be named. I'm pretty sure that all of these toys will be at the Toy Fair right before the show makes it's debut next month.

Secondly G1 is more like an immortal who just wants to die but can't because too many depend on him.

So far Hasbro has shown very little interest in marketing the Decepticons from this series, literally, we've seen nothing in terms of figures outside of Steeljaw, Underbite, and Fracture. My guess is that there are going to be very few Decepticons from this series that are going to get toys. After all, the focus is the new Autobots.
And also, there's no need getting mad about it, from what I've seen, most of the figures are on the meh side for, well, everything, I'm skipping on all the RID figures besides Warrior Strongarm and Legion Underbite.
Also, your comment belongs in the RID Product thread and not the cartoon thread.

I stand corrected.
psj333 wrote:Madeus Prime, you said that Hasbro showed a little interested in producing Decepticons in their toy forms. Well, according to the toy listing from the TFW2005.com website, it says, that Quillfire, Springload, and Clampdown will be getting toys sometime later this year, but only One-Step and Legion to start with. That`s means that all other Decepticons, such as, Bisk, Hammerstrike, Terrashock, Filch, Ped, and many others will indeed get their toy forms, but not at this time. So, do say that Hasbro will not make these toys, just isn`t true. That`s never going to happen!
Just chill out! I was just saying that RID seems to be a big project and we're probably going to only see those figures in the future, likely end of 2015
Don't forget that this is Toyfair, they debut their big products for investors mostly, like Devastator, it's not a comic-con, when Botcon rolls 'round, I'm sure we'll get our fill of upcoming Decepticons.
And any further questions or discussion regarding RID's toyline should be in this thread psj333:

Chop Shop is indeed Airachnid's son. Airachnid got "busy" with one of her Insecticon servants, sucking a little something other than Energon, and shot out Chop Shop on Cybertron's Moon. Chop Shop was arrested in adulthood for sexually harassing female Predacons. Now, on Earth, he is seeking to continue his predatory by directing Kiss Players: The Movie.
Chop Shop's known relatives are Blackarachnia, Tarantulas, Creepy, and Charlotte (died tragically in 1952).

Of course not, Hasbro isn't going to bring up Transformer family relations in a kids show. And he doesn't turn into a spider, he turns into spiders, plural. It seems he's a combiner of 5-6 identical spider-bots. We guess that means he won't have a vehicle mode, as his only alternate mode besides his robot form is that of a bunch of spiders.

DUDE! Just because somebody says something on the internet doesn't make it true!! With the exception of me and a few others, you're being consistently mocked for these, frankly, silly questions, the issue is that you seem to take much of what we say as canon info, which it, for the most part, ISN'T.
psj333 wrote:He might said this, because in case that you haven't noticed, the head and the face of Chop Shop is strikingly identical to that of Airachnid's.
It's a basic evil character head, just because two characters share a similar helmet doesn't make them related.
psj333 wrote:The only difference is that Chop Shop is big and muscular, while Airacnid is tall and slender.
Yeah, and color, and method of transformation, and likely personality (I believe the plot summeries make him out to be a kleptomaniac), and alt mode. In other words, the chances of there being a connection between these two are so slim that they could cut bread.
psj333 wrote:Also, other blogger on this site had told me, that unlike Airachnid, Chop Shop has four eyes, which means, he is either wearing glasses, or having real four eyes, that is, two at the top, and two at the bottom.
Yes, he's got four eyes. It doesn't matter. It's simply a design thing, make him more alien.
