They have been reconfiguring their business needs for several years now. I don't know about the KB part though. That part sounds like nonsense to me. I can be wrong though.

From wikipedia:
Toys "R" Us Holiday Express is a new series of smaller stores in the United States and Canada opened during the 2009 Christmas shopping season.[12] The Holiday Express stores are much smaller than regular Toys "R" Us locations, often located in malls, and offer a more limited selection of merchandise than would be available at a normal sized standalone Toys "R" Us store. In opening these stores, many of which were located in former KB Toys locations that had not been occupied since the chain's closure in February 2009, Toys "R" Us sought to gain mall customers, take advantage of vacancies in malls and shopping centers, and attempt to fill the void that the KB stores had left behind.[12] Toys "R" Us had planned to close all of these stores by mid-January 2010, but some stores did so well that they were kept open well past the targeted closure dates.[13] The stores that remained open dropped the "Holiday" from their names and became simply known as "Toys "R" Us Express" stores.

Interesting... I've always had a soft spot for the smaller toy stores, glad to see those return. I'm not being hopeful on them opening one in the Allen Premium Outlets, as there's a regular Toys 'R Us in The Village at Allen on the other side of the highway. Then again, stranger things have happened...

We just had one open in the Springs last month. It's neat, but they're a bit behind: they have a few of Wave 1 from HFTD, but the rest is Tuner Mudflap's deluxe NEST wave and Animated(nothing but BB, Cybertron Prime, and Snarl for Deluxe; Prime, Grimlock, Lugnut, and Blitzwing for Voyager). A larger selection of Animated and I'd be all over it(since I was late to that party).

We used to have 2 TRU in town about 5 years ago. They closed one and made it into a BRU. Now they just finished remodeling the remaining one into a TRU/BRU. So I don't think there is any chance of them closing and turning into TRU Express. At least not in the near future.

Yeah, me too. I could really use that Voyager Prime and Grimlock.

If you want, I could go and price them and shipping out for you(they're currently 33% off, which IIRC from when I bought Blitzwing is a little under $17 each). If so, PM me and we'll talk specifics.

I do not own a giant Bumblebee figure. The biggest I was willing to buy was Human Alliance. Anything else is just too big unless you are a Bumblebee fan.

Rated X wrote:So now we know the real price that it costs Hasbro to make the figure. They are probally going to take a shot in the dark and mass produce this figure, but they are a little scared they will be shelve warmers. So I suppose their strategy is to get rid of a bunch quick just in case...

Dearie, the item is on clearance, meaning it was already produced. No more will be made.

They have one in the MOA...it's not really worth wasting your time going into, though. Then again, you could pretty much say the same thing about the MOA!
