Hehe, I like how it can wear the Godbomber chest. Cool idea though to make it compatible with multiple primes, gives people some options.

Meh, I hate this a little less now. Looks kinda ok with classics prime. Looks like the legs pretty much dangle out of the back, though.

It's times like this that I regret selling my Classics Prime. Might have to buy another.

Tempting, but I'll have to see the final colors. Couldn't have come at a better time tho

I'm impressed with the flexibility of Optimus' this piece can accomodate. (Very impressed that one of them is voyager Classics Optimus. Didn't expect that.) I just can't see this guy fitting well with the rest of my Classics collection. It's like the G1 PM OP with better articulation, and I think it'd look like a 7 year old's crayon drawing compared to the degree level technical drawings of most Classics and 3rd party figures.

This is an expensive hobby, and I can't justify spending money on something that doesn't immediately shove it's hand down the front of my trousers and leaves me sore downstairs for the rest of the day as soon as I lay eyes on it.

P.S. Does anyone else think that the sides of the trailer mode are suspiciously absent in robot mode?

Sold... And he will even come with a powermaster.. w00t!!

meh. I will stick with my original. This just doesn't do it for me, especially with the inevitability of FP doing a Ginrai homage. When this is released in Nucleon Quest colors with lots of fixes I might go for it, but not before.

I need to see full colour final product pictures to be sure, but I think this might just be the first third-party product I buy! Of course I would need to buy another PM Prime cab to go with it.... this set looks more to be Ginrai than Powermaster Prime, especially with the dimensions.

The bot mode pics look good. I can't wait to see what the final product looks like. Prime looks pretty bad @ss.

At least I won't have to track down the Powered Commander armor from FansProject. This is 10,000 times better.

Wow, this looks really good. Hopefully it wont cost a bajillion doodars.

It's definitely tempting. I like my original, but this might actually be worth getting to replace the brick, depending on how much it will be.

Damn, I'm really liking this! But that trailer mode leaves me wanting; at least for Classics Prime. It looks like it's really at an angle. But I *am* impressed with how it combined with Classics Prime; I honestly didn't think the voyager could do it!

But no decision is made until I see full color.

It's armor. Just like the original Powermaster Optimus. Cab becomes the standard robot and the trailer becomes armor that can only be used while in vehicle mode.

Well, of course the cap just plugs into the trailer. It's Powermaster Prime! It's a definitive part of his look. Doing anything else may be ""cooler", but it woulnd't be Powermaster Prime anymore. At least not a G1 PM Prime; jury's out on FP's Heartmaster figure who just might be a War Within Powermaster Ultra Magnus (with inevitable Prime recolor).

It's just too big for Classics but I'd consider it Masterpiece Powermaster Optimus. I hope to see some shots with MP-01 at some point or at least MP-10!

It does look pretty decent. I think what it needs is more bulk in the lower legs, and it needs to have updates for the black guns too. I'd still prefer if it was actual armor for Classics Prime, but I can see how that would be less true to the original concept.

I know we now have shots from all round, colour and b&w (except a butt shot with Prime inserted), but a full colour final look will be good.

Trying to work out how tall he stands, looks twice the height of Voyager Prime so that will put him up there with all the Leader/Masterpiece editions!

Just because you might be unfamiliar and or uncomfortable with that kind of humour doesn't mean everybody else has to adapt to you, don't like it, just ignore it.

His comment is within the rules and comfort zone of PG 13, so there is nothing wrong with it.

I sold it when I bought the Henkei version. I just wasn't thinking ahead and didn't see at the time the point of having two of them. If I bought this then it would have to have its own dedicated prime figure.

I agree...even if it's supposed to homage the original, I think it looks ridiculous. It looks like a robot parking garage or something. They did shit like this back then because they weren't very good at it. Most figures also didn't have independent, split legs...if they did that now I'd think it just as ass.

I think you're looking at it. I doubt Takara was going to make one, and after this piece comes out, they will definitely not do it, they've been beaten to the punch.

And I agree with Dead Metal, there's nothing wrong with Sodan-1's comments. It was funny. Matter of fact, if I collected by that rule, I'd have saved a lot of money over the years...

IMO that thing looks decent, but I'm not sure where it would fit in my collection...

I was pretty skeptical at first, but this is starting to look pretty impressive. I wish they'd show a picture with the original G1 Prime mold. Something tells me it might not stick out as far as the other two, though I could be wrong. Also, full color pictures would be sweet and have a heavy effect on my decision. What's the pricetag on this baby?

I've found Fansproject's Powered Commander to be a good Powermaster Prime for my CLassics collection.

As for this? Yeah, might as well just put the trailer front on the chest and call it a day. If it was armor that snaps on, then okay, but this? Doesn't sit right with me.

One step closer to having me cough up money I can ill afford to spend. I'm loving the articulation. That was my one big issue with PM Prime. He was the epitome of "Block-Formers" and back then it was frustrating to see toys like Voltron come out and have awesome articulation for what it was and not have Prime be able to measure up to that. This updated version totally counters that but I'm having a bit of a hard time with how far back his head sits, or rather how far forward the cab sticks out in relation to the rest of the body. I know it does with the regular PM Prime but this thing looks like it will be front heavy. I don't want to be afraid to step heavy in my own room for fear that he'll fall forward and take out everything in front of him on the display shelf. I'll wait for the final round of color pics before I make my final decision.

Robot mode is looking pretty good, though I would be happier with more bulk on the lower legs. I kind of dig that they kept the "shove the folded cab in the chest" look from the original Ginrai.

I'm not sold on the trailer mode. I'd really like to see a true side view of it hooked to both cabs, and of course the whole shebang in final colors.

If the trailer doesn't look totally stupid and the QC is acceptable I'll probably bite, though I don't exactly relish the thought of having to track down two more Henkei Convoys....

Back to the figure itself - I like it even more than before. Too bad it very likely will cost an arm & a leg.

As for the TFs fans who don't like the figure - you don't have to like it. But why the negativity?

I didn't care for the vast majority of Bayverse TFs, but I didn't feel the need to get all negative about it.

The powermaster engine appears to have a matrix embedded in it. And it just kind of sits there, jutting out of the grille like a malignant carbuncle. They need to fix that, stat.

The basic trailer + robot combo is Super Ginrai. God Ginrai has Godbomber added in the mix, who I don't see anywhere.

True, but if you look at the bot-mode of this thing here, you'll notice that he has the Godbomber arm extensions, and leg-mounted blasters already integrated. The only thing missing is the red wings, the shoulder-missle-launcher and the chest piece.
