Thanks to the latest trailer for the recently discovered War For Cybertron game, we can now deduce that one of the said unknown prototypes may, in fact, be that of Optimus Prime.

As of posting, we can neither confirm nor deny the complete validity of this revelation, but the images don't lie and it looks like the Transformers Universe may be getting new additions to the family.

Oh, please no! For some weird reason they reran Beast Machines about 6 months ago on cable each Saturday morning (3 episodes), and GOD, it was awful, I now understand why most of you were complaining about THAT show.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! A THOUSAND TIMES NO! I watcheded Episode 1 on youtbe and I didn't like it one bit. I'm not totally hooked on the new game, and if this is the case, then I'm only collecting very few figures to none at all. But on the bright side, I can finish up my other collections of different toylines. Trying to stay positive here...

Animated was looked down upon by pretty much every middle-aged (teen) person, and by tying more things into animated you'd probably be harming it. By the look of the game, it seems much darker. As for the toy line, I think there would be a show, too. But then again, they made toys of almost all decepticones/drones, so...
Not sure I fully understand your post, middle-aged (teen)? The last thing I want to do is turn this into an Animated love/hate debate, but to say almost everyone from any one demographic looked down on it wouldn't be accurate. Seems to me TFA was pretty successful, they are still releasing figures from the line and Japan is about to get the line as well. Not to mention TFA is finally getting us a decent Arcee! If anything I would say the design borrows heavily from WWI, with just a splash of TFA.

If Hasbro can release a toy for $100 dollars based off a character who had a collective screen time of maybe 10 minutes, I'm pretty sure they can get away with selling a few deluxe/voyager figures from this game. Considering there have been Halo, Legend of Zelda, etc. action figures, I'm pretty sure these would sell just fine.

Hope you're right. I dig the concept, and this would open the door for more "WWI-ish" type figures.

Before I didn't care about the game, but then I saw the trailer. If this all ties to the new show being made too, I will be dancing in the streets.

Don't know if I'll like the game or the rest of the toyline, but I'll probably at least buy OP.

NO! Nononono! No CGI! I hate all those CGI TF shows! I hated Beastwars, beast machines, energon, and cybertron! CGI cartoons ruin life for me, and it pisses me off that there are no more 2-d cartoons anymore

A counter-example how good CGI can look like: Futurama. A lot of the models used in the show was CG.
