IDW Publising's Transformers editor Denton J. Tipton was nice enough to update his blog with a sneek peek into the upcoming Grimlock spotlight comic. Spotlight Grimlock is set for release on April 23rd.

Man, those humans are dead meat. Can't wait to see Grimlock trash the place. Usually, I just wait until they collect a bunch of these issues together into one of those Spotlight collections, but this is one issue I will not wait for.

It'll be interesting to see what he does - I wouldn't bet on Grimlock trashing the place. He might feel a twinge of sympathy/respect for the humans trying to defend their planet, or at the very least he might play the Merc angle and agree to fight for them if they reanimate the other Dinobots.

I really hate Grimlock's head design. I hate those teeth on the side, he looks ridiculous.

I'm not a huge fan of the teeth either, but it's growing on me. The art looks great, and I'm psyched. I can read it on the way to BotCon.

Agreed, the head design alone makes him look like he was drawn by a kid with Down's syndrome. What was the thought process for that, anyway? The teeth are a throwback to the way that Grimlock was drawn by Don Figueroa in the Dreamwave comics. There, it "fit" and looked right. Here, alas, the teeth stand out to prominent, and stick out like a sore thumb.

I like the teeth, but they should have been black like in the Shockwave spotlight. It makes them stand out less.

Will Grimlock want to redeem himself for disobeying Prime and leading the Dinobots to their doom? He's got a hell of a guilty conscious right now. He might also stray further from grace, feeling as ashamed as he does.
I really want to see where the other Dinobots and Shockwave are now and what is currently being done to them. I would assume the same setup in another large hanger/spudshed/wherever that is.
