Well, it has Thrust's head mold, that's for sure. As for the colors, I did some looking and, except for the black, it's a dead ringer for RiD Skyfire. I'll have you know the "Skyfire" trademark is lost since Energon (hence "Skyblast" for the Skyfire lookalike Omnicon).

Probably because there already IS a movie Skywarp figure.
indeed, but it wouldnt be the first time the same character has had two figures in different size classes. Just sayin it aint right having a seeker painted in Skywarp's colors bein called Thrust when the same mold already has him is the right colors.

he's not in Skywarp's color. This new Thrust figure is predominantly grey/silver.

Also probably because this Thrust figure isn't in Skywarp's colors either. The jet mode is predominantly grey/silver.

Does Armada get no love?

Ugh, why does it have to be packaged with YET ANOTHER DAMN BUMBLEBEE?! Otherwise that repaint may still be called Thrust, but he'd actually make a pretty good Ramjet or Skywarp for people that didn't get the walmart exclusives repaints.
Don't know why they'd need to 'hold' Thrust's name with a RotF figure since they just had the Generations one out, unless the two 'characters' count differently for some reason.
Tailwhip ... is apparently Vortex. Neat, but those molds are both meh if you've already got Arcee and Blazemaster. I'd rather give Vortex-like abilities to Windburn when he's released.
Another pack with the ice cream truck version of the twins is nice for the people that couldn't find that little nugget though.

Armada Thrust was before they started homaging G1 Thrust's color scheme. If this had some green in it, maybe this could be an Armada Thrust homage. Speaking of whom, later got a G1 color scheme toward the end of the line.

yes the jetmode has a lot of gray with the night-camo theme but it is not unknown for Skywarp to have a lot of gray as was the case with the hasbro animated release
just sayin it aint Thrust, we got a perfect (minus wing fans) version of movie Thrust, no need to sully it with repaints that are obviously someone else

tobuttica wrote:I always find it funny when people refer to the item numbers as DCPI instead of DPCI. I worked at Target for 10 years and people have been doing that for as long as I've known. DP=department, C=class, I=item. On another note, I was digging some of those figs, but upon further, and closer review, they are all pretty damn ugly. Tailwhip is epsecially retarded looking. Looks like he might be a third brother related to Skids or Mudflap with that mug. Anyway, I will only be picking up a small handful of HFTD figs, and it looks like they won't be from Target.
Thanks for pointing this out. Now that I know what it stands for after all of these years, I'll be sure to get it right in the future. I edited my post and the news story to correct this.

Only exclusive pack I want is the more accurate sideways with the bike sisters. But that seems to be the popular choice so I fear it will be hard to find when it is out.
I'm pretty sure that creepy eyes lightning bolt bumblebee with Fiesta Barricade will be around for a long...long...long time. Hasbro needs to learn to stop with 500 bumblebees. I know he is the "pikachu" of the line, but really..way too many.

Okay, now that is awesome. But not awesome enough to pick up the 2-pack.
I'm a little worried by all this neon. The second coming of G2 for Botcon was cool, but we don't want that for a main line...right?

Maybe Hasbro thought "Wow, never thought G2 was such a hit with the collectors. Let's try it with the kids"
The disturbing thing is that I'm starting to like the blue on Bumblebee, Sideswipe and Barricade... I'm such a sucker for blue!

Well if Hasbro wants to throw in some G2-esque stuff here or there, that's cool, I just hope they keep some more understated schemes as well.

Uh, I think you're dad would pretty much BAN you from target if they re-stocked ours. Still... I like the 'Swipe and Barricade 2-pack. I'm also glad they're making a series more like classics again. Can't wait for Generations to hit shelves around here!

I'm hoping this is the weekend for all of the new stuff. Sucks that Walmart and Target are worthless right now with new stock when usually they're the first to get stuff.
