I'm getting excited for the animated series and the toys. I hope it ends up being as cool as the designs, VAs, and others make it seem.

Starscream's chin puts me off him, and I'm not sure what to make of Lockdown or Lugnutz yet.

And who in the hell is that blue guy? Please for the love of Primus dont tell me thats soundwave. If it is i will have to cry and then go and blow up the people that made him that way.
It's Lugnutz, some new guy that's the decepticon version of Bulkhead.
He transforms into some plane.

Don't be. He's a fat minivan with an electric guitar.

I know he's animated, I'm disappointed by him not being on the cover.
And he looks more like a Scion to me.

a little irrelevant to the topic though.
Although I wonder if they'll give Soundwave any flames on his alt mode?
If they do I hope they are silver-ish like with Night-Watch Optimus Prime.

And the Joker.
This whole thing really seems okay.. I really miss the trademark angularity, though.

If the humans played less of a role and the Decepticons played more of a role then this could have potential to be truly great. Unfortunately, the powers that be are still too arrogant to admit that they made a mistake with the humans in Armada, and so they make the same mistake over and over again.

StarScream, BulkHead, Skinny Prime, SoundWave...
The only way I can see me getting these would be either on some type of buy one get one sale, super clearance, or maybe in a cheap ebay lot.
However, that's not to say that some of the others don't look intresting.
I just see alot of shelf warmers on the horizon, and can't help but wonder if the recent retail shortage is part of some grander scheme to get TF starved Fans and Kids to rush out and buy these to satiate TF cravings.

I would have liked to be left in the dark till about a month before airing and/or release of the toys.

For Animated? Where were those? I've only seen the blue ones.

one of the pictures during the show was a figure Starscream in his classic colors.

I don't remember seeing any pictures of a G1 colored version of TF: Animated Starscream, and can't find any despite my efforts.

Maybe there's only one Seeker in the Animated. That will make Starscream lonely. So he turns blue.
Who knows? This COULD be the official reason.

Indeed it was. They also showed it at the SDCC when they played the clip from the new show.

Well, I can't find it. Perhaps you could provide a picture or link, because I must not be looking in the right place.

I don't have the time at the moment, but type in "animated" in the news serch function and you'll find it. prolly about one or two pages in.

I'll just take your word for it, because I'm apparently still not looking at the right things. All I can find are the same blue/blue-gray Starscreams we've been seeing for weeks, although sometimes the lighting makes the blue even lighter so it looks more gray.
