I'm not surprised, and don't forget it's a UK price so you can subtract about 20% off that for you Yanks - we always pay over the odds as someone, somewhere seems to feel that shipping stuff to this little Island is about as costly as shipping stuff to the moon. And with the current customs fees on EVERYTHING that's probably not as much of a joke as I intended it to be.
But yes.....Ouch indeed.
Still going to get one though.......

You raise a valid concern. I'm probably going to shoot myself in the foot by admitting this, but I plan on getting hold of these asap just so I have them. I'll check out some of the reviews before cracking them open (although I'd expect a few reviews to be up before I even receive them). If the reviews are bad or they simply don't vibe with me, then ebay beckons. I'm sure someone will want them.

If I think about it, I may not do it, and I'm GOING to do it.
But, that said, its Ramen for dinner tonight! (and for the foreseeable future)

I like to eat decent food so I refuse to put myself on a ramen diet for toys.
As a student it's hard enough getting the figures I want. Now that I'm back to work again, the only way, I'll be getting them is if I get a lot of extra days of working at Costco.

Maybe we can split him? I'll take monday-wednesday, you take Thursday-Saturday. we can alternate sundays..Sound good?
The more I think about it.. The price is just ridiculous . Whats the point of making something so awesome if only the UBER collector with a large amount of disposable income get to enjoy it. While the rest of the average collectors sit here and drool over the seibertron.com galleries

If these were $50 a piece, I would do it in a heart beat.
How about they slice some of the price off by getting rid of boxes and poly bagging them? If botcon can do it, so can they.

Haha, I can understand where you are coming from.
I think around $80 was where we expected these to land. I need to see the complete set before I make a decision but I will most like be picking him up. It looks like third party companies will be receiving a lot of money from me in the next year.

I'll probably preorder this, but sit on my POL until I get word about quality.

Nothing has been posted. I wouldn't expect these for a while still.

This is just too much for me.
Maybe in the distant future with a dealer willing to set a hefty discount.

I did sell my Classics Devastator, so in place of him I have the Target Devastator repaint of the Build Team which is the best. Though having only four constructicons is fine by me.
$80 to $100 a pop per figure is way too high. But considering their size it alsmost seems fair. Look at FP Warbot. That was $80 for a deluxe. So if the quality and paint is on par, then I expect it to be that high. Luckily I can get at it because I don't like movie toys. Looks like my money is going to go to third parties for a long time coming.

The ability to get this when it comes out rather than sitting on it for 5 months to get a big enough POL that I break even makes the $4 saved (before factoring in shipping of any kind) icing on the cake...especially when patience isn't exactly one of my strong suits! Sure, BBTS customer service is second to none (more or less), but I don't recall ever hearing anything but positive from RK.

$97.99
And it looks like that is just for one figure. There's a second pic on the item page with two figures on display (one in robot mode, the other alt mode).
So, I would like to know if this guy is Deluxe or Voyager scale and does he come with extra parts (like FP's Bruticus figures did).
Someone mentioned earlier about Warbot being priced at about $90. He's Voyager scale and no added parts. If I'm looking at 5 or 6 figures for Project Hercules at $97.99 each, this really makes me reconsider the purchase.
