Though, technically, these will be the third and fourth for me, personally, since I also own Cheetimus Primal's Dynobot custom.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:After Depth Charge, this will be our second Beast Wars: Uprising figure.

I'm willing to get Depth Charge and Rampage (maybe Transmutate too, if I like her enough) and shoehorn them into Classics. If Botanica is made into a toy, her as well. The rest of them are passes for me.

Just for the sake of clarification, it's a deluxe class figure from the First Edition Megatron. I wasn't sure from your message if you were implying that this was a Voyager or not.

I subscribed back in July 2013 so I could jump on the surplus Scourge figures from TFSS 1.0...
Does that mean if the TFSS 2.0 figures aren't done shipping by July 2014, I have to re-subscribe for the remainder of those figures to ship out to me?

I like the deluxe mold better anyway

I have no clue. but these will probably ship one week before botcon. so should be safe.

That's good. I wasn't interested in 1.0 at first, and had to scramble to pick them up piece by piece (the ones I wanted, anyway). I'm glad I subscribed to 2.0; just hope they ship in time.
Also, back on topic - I LOVE what they did with this Rampage. What a great an excuse to integrate an awesome mold like this into my Classics collection.

I was going to just get this off ebay so I don't have to deal with TFCC, but I kind of want some of the 2.0 figures (chromedome and rewind) so I'll get the X for being a member and maybe if they make extras I can pick those up and cancel my horribly overpriced BBTS pre-orders.

If FunPub had waited and got permission to use the Sharkticon Megatron mold, I would've jumped at this guy. It would've suit Rampage a whole lot better than the smooth armored deluxe.

Probably
I just don't have any room for my pre-BW figs, where this guy would've gone. Thus; I'll place him with my Decepticons just like Depth Charge is with my Autobots.

Which begs the question: can FunPub even do Voyagers for their Freebies and Club Exclusives? Aside from Astrotrain, Piranacon and Nexus Prime, they're all Deluxe-sized.

but... the few glimpses of BW characters we were shown in the show, they were ALL smooth armored whatevers. in my opinion these molds work great for X and mutey.
and i never even thought about transmutates gender before. and when i saw the arcee and being referred to as "her" i was just like... "oh. okay." so whats the big deal is shes a she? it made sense for her gender to be in question (i guess, though i never considered it) when she landed on earth because she was very broken obviously. but this should be a fully functional pre-BW transmutate! so slap whatever label you want to her.
thinking about it now, doesnt it seem strange to call this version of her "transmutate"? she was only named that in the show cause she was so messed up.
Posted by Sabrblade on March 7th, 2014 @ 11:13pm CST
The answer to this is simple: This isn't the Beast Wars cartoon continuity version of the character. This is Transmutate from the new Beast Wars: Uprising storyline, which is a completely different universe from that of the cartoon. Depth Charge and Protoform X are likewise part of this universe as well.shajaki wrote:thinking about it now, doesnt it seem strange to call this version of her "transmutate"? she was only named that in the show cause she was so messed up.
Think the G1 cartoon vs. the IDW G1 comics.

Still more expensive than a normal toy, especially if you don't live in the US.
Which is kinda his point, he wants it, but not enough to spend 4 times as much as the mold originally cost.

Yep. Although the comic parsed her name as "Trans-Mutate" (like the BW 10th Anniv. toy and this new toy).JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The answer to this is simple: This isn't the Beast Wars cartoon continuity version of the character. Oh yeah! Alternate universe.
That's not an answer, it's an excuse. And at that, it's one that can only go so far until it doesn't work.
Sadly for TFCC naming the figure Tansmutate instead giving her an actual name, that excuse doesn't work.

You're missing the point. Transmutate was called the because he/she/it was severely disfigured. If we're getting a Transmutuate that isn't disfigured, why not give her an actual name?
I'm not arguing against their alt-beast wars story at all.
I just find it odd in naming her Transmutate when that name was used for a specific reason.
It doesn't fit.

Whether this different reason is as equally valid as the old reason, however, is currently unknown, as that will be determined by the events that unfold within the upcoming "Alone Together" text story.

Its all about character Identification. We keep calling everyone that turns into a red Trucck Optimus Prime, right? How about all the bad guys leading the Decepticons who keep getting named Megatron, the BW guy, the RiD guy, the Armada guy,
