"Cruel? Justice is always cruel."
Barricade is devoted to his desire to see justice rendered. Unfortunately for the suspects he arrests, that justice is Decepticon justice. He is swift, cruel, and most times ignorant of the facts. Like a hunter studying his prey, Barricade stalks the streets of Cybertron looking for any individual who may be working against the great Decepticon ambition. Anyone acting suspicious is quickly detained and rarely seen again.
Over his career, Barricade had a number of partners: Howlback, Garboil, Nightstalker. Eventually each one requested to be transferred to another officer or precinct, but he ultimately gained a true partner in Frenzy. Frenzy excels at interrogation, although not at all useful in the roles of collecting evidence or tracking persons of interest. He also shows a complete lack of familiarity with Decepticon law. His zeal for inflicting pain until a suspect talks borders on the maniacal, but is crucial to Barricade's perfect case closure rate.

That sounds like a pretty rational theory. I also like the mention of Howlback and Garboil. Love to see e-Hobby characters (and fembots, in Howlback's case) get some love.

My Club membership expires in July, and I assume most of the TFSS figures are going to ship after that. Do I have to renew my membership to receive the remaining figures, or, since I paid for the subscription service in full and upfront, am I safe?
Pre-post disclaimer: I'd still call them, I could be completely wrong on this!
If I recall correctly, if you paid in full you're set, if you're on the installment plan you need to be an active member while they charge the installments.

I'm surprised someone hasn't yet used the Generations FOC Data Discs of the bird, cat, and lion for the three since those should still be available to use.Bounti76 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:So either Prime Nightstalker is a Decepticon instead of an Autobot, or Barricade's career as a cop stretches as far back as before the war, enabling him to work with a pre-Autobot Nightstalker before the factions rose up.

It uses the tooling that came with the Prowl version of the mold instead of the Smokescreen version (head and lightbar).nullrayz wrote:This is basically smokescreen beast hunters deluxe mold in black and sirens. still a good figure.
Though, I do still kinda wish they had been able to give it a new head to better match the deco's source of inspiration:

Opening and examining the figure and its contents, the figure is in perfect condition with only two minor quibbles.
The first is a tiny chunk of plastic that needed to be hacked off from the back of its left shoulder/front bumper, as it was keeping the left hood piece from securing to the bumper in vehicle mode.
The second is the more widespread issue of Frenzy being slightly misassembled. His upper legs piece was put on backwards. A simple popping off, turning around, and popping back on fixed that.

BUT all things considered though — and knowing getting a LOAD of bonus microns and an extra figure with this subscription instead of just the six — I am overwhelmingly pleased with the offerings this year. The new head sculpts, concepts, packaging, paint apps, execution, bios, etc. They are all really solid.
There are a lot of fan favorites... and a mix of some of the better molds with a few obscure Takara ones.
Barricade looks really sharp in person, and props for the bonus item. Big smile here.

Sure looks that way. The prospect of fixing it terrifies me, these things are not made for re-assembly.

For me, it was a relatively simple fix. I found it easiest to remove both lower legs first so as to get a better grip on the upper legs piece. Once those were out of the way, I got as best a grip on the piece in question as I could, and firmly but carefully pulled it free from the groin. Once that was done, it was simple matter of merely turning it around, clipping it back into place, and popping both lower legs back on. Took me less than a minute or two.ScottyP wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I guess everyone's Frenzy was misassembled, too, huh?

Thankfully Sou's legs are attached via a C-clip, easy to fix at the cost of possible stress marks. I'm actually dreading Stylor, the S.2 mold has a rather nasty assembly error in the instructions that's nigh impossible to fix without being super-careful.

Hats off to the club. Will proudly display this one with Depthcharge and the Botcon set.

Chromedome and Rewind, being a pair, will be probably be the 3rd and 4th to be shipped. After them, Treadshot, Thrustinator (BW came last last year) and the Mystery figure. Calling it right now!

To throw my vote in, I'd like the next figure to be either Chromedome or Rewind.

Rampage came in a box, but there was no protection in the box outside a plastic bag he was in. No foam like other years. My box came crushed but thankfully, everything inside was just fine.
