If you can't wait though, here is an EXTREMELY spoiler-filled answer. Read at your own risk!
It's a little bit of both.
Part of the reason for the story was to let fans who could only purchase 5.0 build a Wreckage even if they didn't get the other TCC Wrecker figures. We wanted to make sure there was an official representation of a Wreckage with retail limbs in fiction and in art to justify fans building him that way. Even if the roster changed afterward.
Now... As for that ending...
When the Combiner War toys for 5.0 were decided as Wreckers to go with Impactor from 4.0, one of the very first thoughts was "Okay, they're Wreckers. Who can we kill?"
The original idea for who would die and how was very different, but Pete and I wanted at least one Wrecker to die and to have it be a sort of betrayal. I won't get too much into that original concept, but it wasn't Alpha Bravo and Offroad. Actually, Offroad was a very late substitution, but one that I can't be happier with!

I wonder if there will be a prose story explaining Double Pretender Megatron and Optimus? or mabe some prose stories/comics for The Mayhem attack Squad themselves?

I really hope there will be because these have been excellent so far. I didn't like the idea of a non-alternating Counterpunch at first but the story totally sold me on him.
... that is, ahem, if I could afford to get him.

If not, Optimus can still appear in the "Of Masters and Mayhem" magazine comics.Kurona wrote:SG Roadbuster wrote:so the final part of Masters and Mayhem will come out around the time Impactor and mystery figure of 4.0 yes?

I like the inclusion of AB and OR, gives those who didn't order sub 4 have a complete combiner, gives the two bots a use if you ended up getting Quickslinger/Breakneck and mentions the scramble-city nature of combiners that hasn't really been explored much in CW-related fiction.
Good work.
As for the story, I also like how it explains the Thunder part of Thunder Mayhem, why it looks like Thunderwing out of Bludgeon... the story is getting interesting.
Looking forward to finding out who the remaining member may be...

The BW Uprising stories are also very interesting, probably because it's very different. I don't think there's been any TF series quite like them. I appreciate all the references and back stories they've created (also, Lio Convoy ). If y'all haven't read them, I think you oughta. There's no clear "bad guy" a lot of the time. The Builders are the obvious antagonists, but they also have Maximals fighting Maximals that have no other choice than to help the Builders. It's really interesting.

But even this magnificent accomplishment feels paltry when weighed against the mighty deeds of his long-gone namesake. Determined to make his mark on the world, he takes advantage of the chaos of the Grand Uprising to take the first, bold steps towards the next level of the evolution of the Maximals and Predacons alike.

Inflammatory? Really? That sounds to me more like you're just looking to be offended whenever something that looks at all like "SJW" comes up, no matter how appropriate to the overall theme of BW: Uprising.
Seriously, this should be a non-issue.

What can I say. I don't want political bullshit in my Transformers. I'd feel the same way if it was /pol/ memes being used as titles. It's stupid and I don't like it.

Heck yeah. It's very different from the normal TF stories we've (or I've seen).
Also, in the latest story, in the scene changes, there's dividers covered with Cybertronix (Cybertronian alphabet). Decoded, there's a bonus story. It's not extremely important to the plot, but it does flesh out some details and gives some backstory. For those that don't read Cybertronix, here's a translation- http://jalaguy.tumblr.com/post/15335240 ... ith-infamy

And the polling closes the 30th, not the 31st. Since, well, there is no 31st. That was a typo that I copied over without noticing at first, but then kept because I was still feeling silly after all of those blueprints.

With any luck, saying "the 31st" should at least help avoid questions of the "do you mean it ends at 11:59 pm on the 30th, or 11:59 pm on the 31st?" variety.

Synopsis- It's been a year since Megatron introduced beasts into the war between the Resistance and the Builders, and bots are finally starting to adapt. Can these misfits prevail, or will the planet—and maybe the galaxy—burn? Featuring monsters, MCSF, point-one-percenters, traitors, combiners, and, oh yeah, the Rosetta Stone.

The penultimate chapter in the Beast Wars: Uprising universe is now online!
Cheetor and Preditron have been doing their bit for the Resistance ever since they were sprung from Fortress Maximus prison. Much to their chagrin, The First Resistor and the patriarch of the Predacon race are more valuable as propaganda tools than on the field of battle. But this time, a routine assignment deep in the heart of Resistance territory, far from the front, turns into something much more ominous. Soon these two unlikely allies find themselves at odds with Lio Convoy’s increasingly dubious agenda. It's a tale of lies, corruption, betrayal, pit fighting, and secret weapons.

After six years of brutal warfare, Lio Convoy’s rebellion is at its end. The Vehicons are on the march, assimilating everyone and everything in their path. But the Resistance won’t go down without a fight, and there’s no line Lio Convoy won’t cross to save the Maximals and Predacons from horrific annihilation. Virtually every character ever seen in Beast Wars Uprising (including some dead ones) grapple with the Vehicon Apocalypse in Derailment, the titanic climax of the Grand Uprising.
With a cast of hundreds, Furman-esque levels of carnage, and amazing art by Guido Guidi, Josh Burcham, Matt Frank and more, Derailment is a full-on Beast Wars Uprising novel, available only from Fun Publications.
