Fellow Seibertronian Bumblebee21 found the beginning of the marketing campaign from Paramount for Transformers: The Last Knight - starting on Twitter and Instagram - which featured a message in morse code over a United States State Department torn image, with the writing 'File no. 21.63 Date: 10'. The message translates as 'I M COMING FOR YOUHUMANS.MAY31'.

I think this means that we will be getting a tease or a look at the villain for Last Knight on the 31(currently the 28th when I am writing this) or maybe the movie will release on May 31 of what ever year. I definitely think we will be getting something on the 31 though.

I presume any info would be comng from California since that's where Hollywood and its people are, but most Californians are either still asleep or just waking up right now.

After the Transformers: The Last Knight viral campaign first glimpse of something coming for us last week, director Michael Bay has uploaded another Instagram clip, featuring a similarly coloured unidentified robot-esque character - swiftly identified in the caption as Megatron. Maybe. Take a look below for yourselves, and let us know what you think in the Energon Pub!

michaelbayIt's starting. This week production. Megatron is back. #transformers #decepticons#

We also get a Megatron teaser from the official Transformers Facebook page, mirrored below.

Expects Galvatron because: continuity, gets Megatron because: reasons and possible ineptitude - but who cares, that headsculpt is epic 8-)

Wait, wasn't Galvatron voiced by Leonard Nimoy? Maybe that forced them to go back to Megs rather than get a new voice actor and have them sound different (not that Galvatron really said anything in AoE  ) I could see Galvatron 'shedding' his new human-given form and name and reclaiming his old name and Cybertronian body-style out of pride and vanity :-?

No, no, Galvatron was voiced by Frank Welker. It was Nimoy in the G1 movie.

I'm thinking the same thing. I'm not really bothered because we have an amazing writing team taking on these movies.

That being said its never been the writing that's been an issue for me. It's the god awful editing! And I find enjoyment in all the movies but yeah, Bay in the editing room...yikes.

Megatron coming back Is interesting. His head(and maybe his body) are intact and what if we will get both Megatron and Galvatron and Galvatron is just a copy of Megatrons consciousness.

It should, if there's one character trait the movies have given him, it's ego for days, so play it up and it will actually work, it's basic stuff really >:oP

Just have the Quintessons or even Unicron take all the Cybertronians on Earth, even the dead ones, and reformat them into a more traditional look while also bringing back Jazz, Ironhide, Soundwave, Shockwave, Starscream, etc... Just maguffin the hell out of the franchise.

This thread is now awesome! I'm waiting for the point that studios decide to go the sitcom route and assume there is a reset button at the end of any episode rather than worry about pointless continuities that no one can keep straight.

Given that it's been suggested that there are WAY more movies coming, I think they'll save Unicron for last.

Galvatron was just the name that the humans at ksi named him so it's possible he went back to Megatron due to his disgust of humanity.

Plus Aoe Galvatron was just a clone in a sense so we could have an idw situation and have both Megatron and Galvatron.

Well, it wasn't a clone, it was Megatron, in a new body, his old body was pretty f'ed up by the end of dotm, so starting fresh with the body the humans gave him to start reformatting himself makes sense. In other words, they need the BW Stasis Chambers

Id be okay with that as long as we never get AOE transformations again. That was honestly my least favorite thing in that movie. human transformers AND the autobots. Even the autobots transformations haven't been great since DOTM. Everyone just morphs into robot mode. I still remember Sentinal Prime morphing into a fire truck at the end when he tried to fee Optimus. Just looks so bad compared to the transformations in the first two.

oooo you just had to bring that up. I wouldn't even want an adaptation of that. We'll get a twist that not only is Optimus a prime from the ancient days and a knight for some reason but we'll get the twist that Optimus has been a decepticon agent all along!!!

Maybe this is just the return of bay putting out wrong info to sway us. Remember when he said Megatron wasn't coming back in RotF but then said its just flash backs, then in DOTM it was suppose to be unicron and then we were told Shockwave was actually the main villain?

I for one am ready for Jhiaxus.

BRING ON JHIAXUS!!!

@Random to be fair to the cap twist, there is a character with the power to twist time and god knows what else.

Anyway, the complaint about the treatment of decepticons is a hard one to solve as on the big screen, people want to see the bad guys dealt with (minor villains may escape but we want to see justice dealt); it won't do any good to see the bad guys just retreat like the g1 toon.

But... isn't that pretty much what they've done for the whole series so far?
Starscream in the first one, Starscream and Megatron in the second. The third I'll allow. The fourth is another retreat.
