Tranformer fans gear up for BotCon
BY LAUREN BISHOP "Thousands of fans won’t hide their love of robots in disguise this weekend. For the first time, Cincinnati will host BotCon, the 14-year-old annual convention celebrating Transformers toys, TV shows and movies. The two-day event is packed full of activities to satisfy everyone from the casual to obsessive fan, including Transformer-converting challenges, drawing sessions, cartoon screenings and opportunities to talk to Transformers voice actors, designers and marketers..." "...If you can’t make it to the convention, Cincinnati still offers something special for Transformers fans. Hasbro’s new line of toys, inspired by the new “Transformers: Animated” series on the Cartoon Network (airs 10:30 a.m. Saturday) won’t be available nationwide until August, but the company has already shipped the toys to Cincinnati-area stores to coincide with the convention." |

Be my luck by the time I get up there Thursday midday the dealers will have cleaned them out and jacked up the price at the con.

According to folks that live in Cinci, the shelves (and/or endcaps) are filled. More than any scalper would want to purchase I would imagine, especially with the release date nationwide not too far away.
They are supposed to be available at Kmart, Walmart, and TRU.

If you're coming down I-71, stop in the Wilmington one at SR73 and US22, or there are a few along US42, such as in London or Lebanon, that are a bit "away from the city" and are sure to be stocked to the brim. If you're looking, I can help. Just let me know...
We're coming down I-71 so we'll stop at the ones you suggested! Hey thanks alot i appreciate it! Now all i have to do is devise a plan to get my fiance to want to stop there.

While you are correct, that just wasn't funny at all.

Yes, yes...defy all known patterns in the language Cincinnati...curses. I am sure some of our friends on other sites had fun with that.

I would hope they'd stick to their June release date, but at this point, nothing Hasbro does will surprise me.

I am sure there is just a mess up between Universe/Classics release dates, and Animated.
