New Game to Feature an Original Prologue Storyline to Upcoming Film and Debut In-Game 'Stealth Force' Conversion Mode
Santa Monica, CA - February 14, 2011 - The next colossal entry in the TRANSFORMERS saga on Earth is on the way as Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today that Transformers: Dark of the Moon is in development by the critically acclaimed developers at High Moon Studios. Based on Hasbro's legendary TRANSFORMERS property and featuring a brand-new 'Stealth Force' conversion mode, the game thrusts players directly into an original prologue storyline to experience the ultimate battle between the AUTOBOTSTM and DECEPTICONSTM that leads into the summer's most anticipated blockbuster film and reveals another face of evil, SHOCKWAVE.

The Transformers: Dark of the Moon game allows players to fight through the epic battles on Earth that will shape the events of the upcoming film. Armed with a brand-new gameplay mechanic, fans will harness the power of Stealth Force to instantly convert to a third, hybrid state that combines the weapons and firepower of robot mode with the agility and maneuverability of vehicle mode. Set in unique environments around the world such as the Jungles of South America, Siberian military facilities, Detroit Cityscapes and more, the game lets players assume the roles of a diverse roster of everyone's favorite TRANSFORMERS from the movie through a heart-pounding campaign to save mankind. The Transformers: Dark of the Moon video game is currently in development by High Moon Studios for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. I will read this as NO PC...and after the support War for Cybertron got(great game other then the bugs that were never fixed, and DLC that was never delivered, no custom key configurations, FPS cap, ect)this is the right thing to do. I would rather have no PC than a port like the last one...

That's great for you, even though I own a 360 I can't get into a decent game like I can with a PC. No matter how bad the port is give me a PC version!, I bought the first two... why not finish off the trilogy

I don't think it will be Ryu, but we'll see. I read on IGN that it'll be utilizing the actual characters in online multiplayer like the RoTF game did instead of differently colored look-alikes and, possibly, classes.
EDIT: Then again, I wouldn't rule out the chances of say, the characters being determined as a class type based on their statistics. We'll see when more info is released I suppose...

I would agree if this was only single player (much like Batman:AA) but the multiplay support was beyond terrible.
Did you get War for Cybertron? High Moon did that and single player is beyond amazing! However without support to stop hackers the multiplayer was doomed and the amount of people online died(I left pretty quick myself)

Thats a good thing to me... Although, TF games suck except for WFC, specially coz' of the fact that they have a very solid unchangeable release date to go with the movie. Don't expect too much (more looks and cool animations rather than deep gameplay).

Agreed. I really do hope they don't tamper too much with RoTF. It was good and I loved the multiplayer. By the by, I need to try to get on there again soon. I've really been nostalgic for it the past week.
As I mentioned on the PS Forums, I don't want to feel like I'm playing WfC with movie characters...the games had totally different feels and I want to keep them seperate. Sure, WfC is good, but so is RoTF.
I'm sad Luxoflux couldn't do the next one. Are they really out of business?
I also had my concerns with how High Moon is doing, developing two games at once. Will that affect quality? I'd rather they just focus on WfC's sequel if they could....

Yea dude, its a freakin shame. They don't support due to lack of people buying the game, people torrenting it, and the ton of hackers ready to ruin the multiplayer experience, meaning they need a ton of mod attention to keep the multiplayer going.
I am sick of all the god damn cheaters on WFC (btw if you want to play me, I'm BLACKWAR on there, feel free to add), as well as pc games in general, they ruin games for the rest of us.... killing it off. Its almost safer to just get the game for console as its less prone to hackers, ALTHOUGH dear god is halo 3 online so full of douchebags cheaters... aimbotting, lag switching, etc.
Anyway, I wouldn't bother with PC games unless you know they're gonna get developer support for online.
