An auction for Transformers: Exodus, a tie-in novel to the War for Cybertron video game, has appeared on eBay from Seibertron.com. The auction includes images of the covers and inside flaps of the novel letting us get a sneak peak at story information.

It looks like paperback.
I think it's a hardcover. The third image down showing the author's biography looks like the rear inner flap of the dust cover.
