.....There were hardly any Action Masters made that didn't already have a transformable version, so the fact that they didn't transform really dosen't matter. It's pretty obvious that they were made to give kids TF robots they could bang together without sending robot kibble flying in all directions.
Get over it people, they weren't that bad.

Now that is an interesting idea.

If only someone at Hasbro felt that way, AutobotJazz...
That kiddie stripper pole reminds me of something else, too:
Start 'em young.

As a cheap sub-line featuring popular old characters mixed in with odd new ones alongside another line of transforming figures (the original Classics), as they were in the EU (and Australia/New Zealand?), they work. On their own as an unsupported main line? Death on wheels (or not, as the case may be). The big advantage that TF has always had over other action figure lines is that the figures turn into other things as well. Take that away and kids are more likely to pick up the Bucky O'Hare figures next to them because his cartoon is still on TV.
At least that's the way I see it. Also, the paint chipped really easily and on some figures the arms and legs tended to pop off, which after a few months of regular play degenerated to "fell off". I imagine that didn't endear them to parents or kids after buying a couple of the unlucky ones. However, without Action Masters we would never have gotten the World's Greatest Colour Scheme. I speak of course of Thundercracker. So they weren't all bad.

I remember this coming up a few times in the past, and the stock response generally being "I don't count those as toys." I kid you not... The mind boggles.

What's the point in complaining? It's not going to change anything. I simply don't buy them 'cause you know, they don't transform.
If I wanted to collect figures that sat on my shelf doing nothing i'd be more inclined to buy wrestling figures.

I know you're new here, but don't post this kind of stuff. This article doesn't concern the Classics, does it?
