I will definitely wait for Ollie's on this one. $50 - $60 is the right price for this unimpressive piece of shit.

Yeah. We know. You can’t wait for Ollie’s. Everyone knows because you say it all the time. Good for you.

If it's an unimpressive piece of shit, then shouldn't it be worth nothing to you? Do you regularly drop $50-60 on pieces of shit?Aimless Misfire wrote:Definitely not worth that price. I still think Predaking will be just as good, of not better, than Devastator. Though part of me is curious what "would have been" if Takara could go ham with their preferred release (like the extra mile they did for Devastator).

Ha ha, but I always thought that they were called Predacons because the characters themselves are predators as opposed to their alt modes.
Perhaps he's gone a bit *mad* (cow) sorry.... not sorry.

Like others have stated I'll just wait for them to pop up at Ollies for 49.99. So what if they don't make anymore due to poor sales. 3P companies charging almost triple this cost aren't going through this struggle.
So Hasbro should either step up on quality (It's not just the Titan class that getting cheap on plastic) or just don't make them.

I still couldn't believe Target put the Star wars Black 6" scale tie-fighters on the shelf...

Takara would have done the sword, and maybe spiked gauntlets somehow but I don't think they would have done as much to pred as they did to devy, as there they only really messed with the head and added elbows where needed.

The other thing to consider is I believe Devastator started as a Takara Masterpiece design that they had to scale down to fit Hasbro's pricing and parts count rules. I suspect most of the Takara added parts and features were actually part of the original plan, scrapped for Hasbro, and added back in for Takara. In this case, both companies were starting Predaking from scratch.

Young Prime@ 3p only aim at collectors hence their limited print runs and costs. They don't also don't have to worry about regulations that hasbro have to adhere to. Plus hasbro want kids to want these so they have to make sure that the price they put these at isn't too big but big enough to profit off (businesses exist for profit )

The Beast modes and Bot modes are IMO crappy. So paying 1/3 for 1/3 of what this set can do is fair.

Don't see how that changes my complaints with the main issue here but thanks for 3P tour guide.

Honestly, I'm excited for Predaking, but the advantage of having the last 2 Titans at TRU was putting them on layaway. Target doesn't have that feature online or in store, so I guess I'll have to wait to see if it goes on sale at some point around the end of the year.

o.supreme wrote:So, no confirmation if Target will actually have Predaking in-store, or if it will be online only? For the record, they had CW Devastator available for the longest time, long after even most online retailers had sold out. For the record, they still have Victoron, Computron, and G2 Bruticus available online.
To clarify, that is an in-store listing for him (and while this is all subject to change, as of right now, it's looking like something every store is gonna get in some capacity), I'd guess he'll start to show up sometime after the e-tailers get him like bbts and such, simply because it has to filter out through the warehouses to the stores.

I'd always kind of felt that way tbh.... I mean other than plastic quality and a little more polish... they're somewhat in line with say MP Sideswipe, and the scale is definitely MP. (though it's a shame what happened to Long Haul).

I honestly don't mind what happened to Long Haul that much since A) it was necessary for feasible stability reasons, and B) because of a secret about Titan class Devastator that was revealed at RoboCon this year, but that's for a different topic. Anyway, about Predaking, I wonder how Razorclaw (G1 Predacon leader) in robot mode might scale in comparison to most figures of BW Megatron (Beast Era most important Predacon leader).

Could very well be. Him not being based on a Pretender, instead on the Binder of Revelation, may mean he has no Shell, thus eliminating him from regular retail altogether.

Wouldn't that also make every Predacon also a special edition since you can't buy them individually either?

Unfortunately, we do not have news at this time if site sponsors or, as previously reported, Target, will be getting their stock soon. But with Amazon now getting their stock in, it should not be long before he is widely available from all media outlets!
Are you ready for Predaking? Are you gonna get yourself a Predaking, or is this a Titan figure you plan to pass on? Do you have a pre-order in? Let us know what you think of the figure and of the very soon to be in-hand product below!

Hasn't it? People were picking up Metroplex at Costco for around $60 (some claimed as low as $30), Devastator I think got down to $100 (maybe lower in some places), I remember Amazon having Fort Max down to $80 at times, and we all know about Trypticon at Ollie's. Sure, these aren't easily available to everyone, but there were some deep price cuts for people that could get them. Now that Target seems to be stepping up with Predaking my fear that Hasbro is going to lower the supply and therefore keep the price up have gone away.

I personally think Predaking is the best of the lot.. to me feels like a shame if a greast figure still ends on discount.. but hasbro will take what signasls they do from that.
Presumably doesnt matter that much to them if they all ended on discount in the US and they are still producing the titans. Looking forward to Scorpinok!
