The images show two different covers for the film's DVD case, but as fans can attest to, there will most likely more of a variety to choose from as the release date of the DVD gets closer. One case represents a single disc release and the other, with just Optimus Prime's damaged profile features a two disc special edition.
No word yet on what the possible Blu Ray cover may look like, but we'll keep you posted on the details as they become available.

Though, I'll never get why the DVD covers always focus on Optimus when it's Bumblebee who's the star Autobot. Or rather, when it's Shia who's the star actor.
Perhaps I too picky, but I'd like a DVD cover that would feature as many main characters (human, Autobots, Decepticons) as they could fit on the cover without looking too crowded.
Like, have Sam, Mikaela, Leo, Lennox, Epps, and Simmons near the bottom; above them would be a bunch of Autobots on the left facing a bunch of Decepticons on the right, with Optimus, Bumblebee, Skids, Mudflap, Jetfire, Megatron, The Fallen, Starscream, and Devastator being the easiest to spot among the other bots; and the pyramid with the Harvester would be in the background.

I couldn't agree more

Me too.
I personally dislike all these ROTF covers. It's all nothing but Optimus and Bumblebee and really doesn't tell us much about the movie itself. Couldn't they at least put the Fallen in the cover since his name is in the title?
Jeez, I could see TF3 having Prime and Bumblebee on every poster too... probably with earth or space in the background.
IMHO, these covers really suck and are repetitive. Just copy and paste Prime/Bumblebee.

yes!! i want a mini bust this time around for an exclusive.... iron man, indiana jones, hellboy 2, lotr, and a bunch others got busts or staues as exclusives, TF is just a big blockbuster movie as all of those, so why cat we get one.... or at least an exclusive legends or scout would suffice. just please no more transforming cases

Agree: some kind of Legends fig or small exclusive toy would be awesome, but not jsut on BluRay- we stone-age DVD folks need love too!
Disagree: the transforming cases from TF1 were cool, I have both. This time it could be Fallen and Bumblebee. I'll take one of each! (FWIW I actually bought the Megatron TF1 case empty on eBay, so I didn't have to buy the movie twice.)

my guess it will be released about the same time as Drag Me To Hell we show up.
The Normal DVD will be around 20 something dollars
The Blue-Ray one will be around 29.99 or higher depending on what they pack into it.
I heard something about they are adding the IMAX stuff for the Blue-Ray edition but I cant be certain on that.
Also look for Star Trek to hit on Normal/BR DVDs in November sometimes also.
Look I am never wrong on release dates.
Look I guessed right about Transformers Animated.
I might be right on Mass Effect 2 hitting in March 2010.
I was also right about Dragon Quest IX coming out in April 2010 but I cant be sure about the real date for now it is an estimated release date.
Also DQ IX has been affected about bye Final Fantasy 13.

That might have been true for the first film, but in RoTF Prime was just too much of a badass not to be featured. I will be getting the 2-disc version, as it does not have the humans on it. I got the 2-disc version of the first film, with Prime on the front and Megatron on the back. RoTF Megatron doesn't deserve a cover this time. How about Devastator?

.... but the cover with prime only looks great. the other cover with prime and mikaela and sam running in front of the pyramid seems lacking

I like to have the Blu ray for watching on my HDTV and the regular DVD for watching at a friends or on a lower Def TV.
