Fellow Seibertronian itscramtastic has shared with us the official Hasbro booklet for Titans Return 'The Power of the Titan Masters' from San Diego Comic Con 2016 - now available digitally - containing a more or less fictional introduction to and the bios of the various characters released in the first couple of waves. It is a little odd to see Sentinel and Optimus work together, and Alpha Trion fighting Mindwipe on Eukaris, Soundwave attacking Cybertron and Fortress Maximus, but there you have it. Check it out mirrored below, or access the PDF here!

Wait, so Sovereign by himself is as strong as Fortress Maximus, Ravage is smarter than Highbrow, and Teslor is a Decepticon?

Okay then.

That is a very cool comic! I like reading the bios and the art is very cool.

I agree with those who want a Rodimus Prime. There aren't enough versions of Rodimus Prime, and plenty of Hot Rod- it seems that way to me anyway.

Who the heck is Rot-Gut? Did I miss something? 'cos he looks a heck of a lot like Horri-Bull/Terri-Bull to me.

That booklet was really stupid. Also, why is Terri-bull/Horri-bull called Rot-Gut and why is Teslor listed as a Deception?

Eh, I found it pretty fun. Reminded me of the cheesy cringeyness and weird treatment of characters you often found in G1 material in the mid-80s. Which made it all the more weirder when IDW elements like Eukaris, Caminus etc were brought up... and ESPECIALLY something like Mnemosurgery. Oh this is all kiddy and fun sudDENLY CHROMEDOME HAS THIS THING FROM THE COMICS WHICH PSYCHOLOGICALLY DAMAGES HIM AND CAN KILL HIM

Aplha Trion and Sovereign each have the stats of a fully loaded Fort Max. That means when Trion has his head screwed on that he's twice as powerful as Max.

I guess this is just Transformers comics-lite for kids or something? It's just so weird.

Okay okay, one second here. I'm having toruble actually understanding how headmasters work...

Hardhead = One bot when in tank form or bot form, without his head

Furos = Another bot, who's not Hardhead

I always thought that the smaller Headmasters were just the main bot in a smaller form, separated from the body, not a whole different entity. I would guess their names being different was just a way to address them when in that form...

The headmasters being the main bot in a smaller form was true in Japanese fiction, yes. But the being a different entity thing has always been a thing in American fiction since back when Headmasters were introduced in 1987. It does make a little more sense here since it's giving an actual reason for why the larger bots would have headmasters (super-powers given like healing, invisibility, super speed etc), but back in 1987 it... didn't make much sense. They tried to finagle around it by saying the smaller headmasters could provide different insights or whatever but it was really hamhanded. I'm glad it makes more sense here.

Makes sense to me, what with the whole "power of the Primes" thing. Granted I don't see how a headmaster can be as strong as a city, but whatevs.

The biggest problem with their fiction here is that the main bot is headless. It'd make more sense if there was a default non TM head included. I just ignore that TM nonsense and go with the smaller bot is the main bot and the bigger body is an extension of that.

Fun toys though.

Oh I'm not saying I enjoy the in-fiction justification; just that it makes a little more sense than it used to.

Well... I think I'll just go on with my own head-canon... It makes more sense for me. I imagine the concept in action in many scenarios. For example, maybe a bot who was not a headmaster got injured in battle and in order to avoid being lost in case the body ceased function, they were turned into headmasters and their bodies were repaired separately. That way the conciousness isn't lost.

I always thought the Marvel comics version worked best. It was two people mentally linked which allowed them to be better warriors. The smaller figure drove the vehicle and connected as a head in robot mode but the essence of both entities resided in the Nebellon as long as he wore the armor.

I'm still having trouble with this because it suggest that, say, Blurr's head really has no connection to Blurr.

I was looking at the signature at the bottom of the Fortress Maximus page (near Rewind's arm at the bottom right) and it looks to me like at least that illustration was done by Emiliano Santalucia based on comparison with another of his autographs I've seen online.

Cheers for the JPGs, Seibertron; you did what TFW2005 didn't! i asked someone to post pics as I was having a bit of a kefuffle opening the PDF on my phone. Btw, has anyone separated all of the various artwork from the PDF file? They're are loads of separate images that are layered over each other if you check...

Edit: I found the images, but can't upload them here, as this site has a 256kb limit? Is this 1997 now? Come on, Seibertron, join the 21st century! If my 5 year old smartphone can handle it, then so should your site be able to!

A prime example of feedback whiplash. I was about to smile, now my cheeks have cramped.

We always recommend using an external image hosting/sharing platform, and have done so for at least 7 years - good examples are Photobucket, Imgur, Flickr. Hope this helps!

As for my previous post on here: Emiliano Santalucia has produced the battle scenes, whereas Marcelo Matere and Ken Christiansen have worked on the other images. The Usual Suspects strike again. :D

Thanks, but I still think the site needs updating, and this is a prime example. Even mobile services line Disqus allow for posting images of normal size, and the rival TF sites usually do, too (although the equivalent thread at TFW2005 won't allow any pics to be uploaded, for some odd reason, which doesn't usually happen). If "rival" TF sites are doing it, and mobile services and hardware can do it, then it seems odd that a website in this day and age can't or won't. Seibertron needs to adapt to survive!

I'm not bothering to upload pics to another site, copy and paste the URLs here, all from my phone. Too much hassle. Others probably feel the same way. Yet I often post pics at Disqus and other TF sites, because it's easier than here.

Help us fans to help your site, please. Increase the upload size to normal levels please, and maybe you'll get more interest/stay relevant? Seibertron is a great site so it would be awful for it to fade away...

Cheers.

It's actually just not transforming the arms to the final step. Makes for a nice pile driver looking thing, even though it doesn't do anything. Rewind can do that too, it's as I said, part of his transformation.

I looked at that too, and thought what you did, so that's how they intend the pile drivers to show up. It's probably also in Botcon or SDCC images somewhere too (of the toy on display).

The Headmasters cartoon turned him into a high-ranking Decepticon ninja who had a rivalry with (and eventually murdered) Ultra Magnus, as well as a longrunning feud with Chromedome (who had a personally vendetta towards Sixshot, who murdered one of Chromedome's friends long ago), and who eventually turned on the Decepticons after his forging a loose friendship with Daniel near the end of the series (he and Daniel were once marooned alone together on an alien planet and Sixshot's personal ethics compelled him to protect Daniel).

Here is what the person is referring to, its a quote from TFW but there are no pictures yet:

“let me tell something
Sixshot,triplechange G2 Laser Optimus Prime(100% later Octane remold),Deluxe HotRod,TitanMaster Fangry,TitanMaster Ptero(Swoop),legend kickback.
Sixshot is much like G1,but the robot mode shorter than G1 toy
G2 OP the tank truck mode is great but the jet mode abit weird.”

So that voyager optimus turns into a jet after all.

That's where I heard it. I didn't wanna say because even though there's no photos I know some people don't like reporting other direct sources from other sites
