Oh and one more thing, which is a very cool thing, Jon 3.0 and ScottyP were able to sit down with Garry Chalk... you know the guy who is quite famous for lending his voice to some of the more recent Optimusii in Transformers lore such as Optimus Primal from Beast Wars and Beast Machines, and Armada Optimus Prime (and more!). Tune in for "What’s up Chalk?" in that segment of the Twincast.
Episode #101 "Talkin’ ‘Bout My Generations" is available directly and in our RSS Feed and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.

Have you found Generations Leader Class Jetfire yet? Photography guy Seibertron got his hands on it (and there's a gallery), as well as, Tigertrack. We spend a good 10 minutes talking up the first non-movie related leader class figure released in some time. Gosh he's chromey.
Transformers Generations Jetfire GalleryI love these pictures!
8:21: - 37:41
And the podcast crew talks about some of the smaller, but just as important Generations releases like Windblade, Crosscut, Jhiaxus, and Nightbeat. Conversation tends to get a little off track as we delve into things like eHobby exclusives, store exclusives, and the death of encore and G1 reissues.
And we mention Generations Cliffjumper and Gears a too.

More Transformers collectors club talk as fans received the Autobot’s resident mneum...neum.... needle finger dude. Chromedome and his head sculpt....

...and Club Tarantulas Color Change, the club store archive sale. Yes, the club offerings were talked about quite a bit.
1:08:46 - 1:19:21
Our group spends some time ‘ooo-ing’ and ‘aweing’ over the amazing work done by the creative members of the Seibertron community. We looked over some the ‘CREATIVE ROUNDUP’ offerings for that week and spend time giving love to some very talented folks, and their projects.

Here’s the chat with Garry Chalk. Jon 3.0 and ScottyP spend nice 15-20 minutes with the legendary voice. Can’t miss!

SPOILERS
We spend the next 40 minutes just breaking down the current comic offerings from IDW including Robots In Disguise 33, and More Than Meets The Eye 33. Be warned there are heavy plot and character spoilers that happen during the discussion. Spoilers
2:24:34 - 2:33:17
We spend some time on a listener question here as Seibertron is asked once more, “What is it that you hate about 3rd party figures?” The actual question just asked Seibs to share his ‘stance’ on third party figures (Seibertron does not HATE them). And we spend some time discussing the 3rd party offerings and whether HASBRO is going to be able to compete.
A second listener question was brought up, but we’re going to handle it in the discussion topic. Want to chime in with your thoughts? Answer the question below before, or after we do..."Could there be a discussion on the topic of obscure series or characters or series/ characters that could potentially become obscure [since series such as Rid/A/E/C are getting older]?"--you have a thought about this? Hit ‘discuss this’ and share below.
Finally we end with some bragging rights. Here’s a hint, it’s a lot of the new Generations figures, Club Chromedome, and more!!!!!!
Thanks for listening to the Seibertron.com podcast!

- Wing Saber. Served as a fun mid-series upgrade for Optimus Prime in Energon and Cybertron, only to be never heard from again.
- Demolisher/Cyclonus/Tidal Wave. Major players in Armada and Energon, only to never be heard from again. And don't pull technicalities on Cyclonus' name, I'm referring to a totally different character from the classic purple space jet Decepticon
- Sideways. Not the same character in Armada and Cybertron, but both were major players that have yet to really be revisited.
- Nightscream. I had to look up his name. Really. It's been awhile since Beast Machines, and other than his overly huge toy there's really no continuing legacy for this character.
- Linkage. This Armada side story comic is very obscure (maybe not on this site), but a lot of Transformers fans probably have no clue what this is or what it's about. I have to admit that I didn't until Counterpunch introduced me to it.

I'd really love to see an update to Tidal Wave, actually. The Energon figure was a lot of fun, if typically not well articulated.

other characters that could be obscure
the decepticons native to both Velocitron and earth in TF: Cybertron and the humans from the same series
possibly landmine from Energon
the build team, Wars,REV from the 2001 RID franchise or maybe the franchise itself....
and the others that ScottyP said

Sky-Byte is keeping the memory alive! But yes, overall that show gets no love. Wish Shout could get it out on DVD somehow.

Without the edits made due to what happened a few weeks ago several years ago as it would be interesting to see without the edits w/o watching it subtitled

And it was me who asked about the way Seibertron mentions the word Transformers. The way I hear it, it sounds like "Transfermers" (I dont hear the O being pronounced long). But I get that its simply the chicago accent. Even though I am new here (from April 2014) I am glad that you guys still welcome me and my questions within your discussions, it means a lot. Thanks guys and great episode!

In Car wash of doom, didn't sparkplug say his name was Irving 'Sparkplug' Witwicky?
regarding obscurity,
toy wise, the first things to hit obscurity are those toys that weren't characters in the show, ( TF Prime Dead End, Beast Machines Buzzsaw, )
and especially anything that didn't have fictional support, ( Power core combiners?)
Then there are the offshoots we'd rather forget, 'Animorphs?'

lonrac wrote:Great show, and special thanks to Jon for getting the interview with Gary Chalk, and though you could have edited the bits out, it's refreshing to hear a 'live ' interview,
Yeah, I sat there while editing for awhile and pondered cleaning it up some, but honestly, Garry is such a candid and fun guy to talk to that I thought some of it may be lost if the 'rough' parts were removed. Were we live radio, wouldn't be able to do anything there, so I thought it kept some of the charm to leave it in. Glad to hear it was the right move

ScottyP: The TFSS sale, what if this sale, these were parts donors-to-be? We know, even during the Botcons, they set aside figures to swap out defective figs. What if that's what these warehouse finds are; figures they set aside, intending to hold on to them for a year or two past sell-out, because of "limited warranty" type customer service (even though there really is't one, that kind of thing) that were never touched upon?
Tigertrack liked my Shuffler! Whoo. Yeah, the lighrter salmon came out not quite what I wanted, and truthfully, the colors may be more based upon the KO, there's a Purple & Grey and a purple and lavender on Goolg eImages...

They've done this though. Every year at Botcon (since 2011) they bring those sorts of figures for "Let's make a deal" sales at the club store where you awkwardly negotiate with Lenny or Karl or someone on a price for extras/rejects/parts/etc.

Great episode as always, the Garry Chalk interview was a great surprise!
It was nice to hear you bringing some attention/giving some love to the Customs side of the Seibertronian community. It gave me a push to put up my own fanfic, and to get onto photographing customs I've done/am working on.
Keep up the great work, my only complaint is the show isn't put out more often
