Episode #244 “Call Me Maybe” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Here's what we talk about in this episode:
- Transformers #18 plus a little bit of issue #19
- Using our most potent powers of possibly misplaced optimism, we think about the latest comic's (at least slight) turn-around and reflect on other times where something in Transformers seemed kinda junky at first, but eventually grew on us.
- Learn more than you ever wanted to know about Armada Mini-Con Inferno
- With Cyberverse winding down and the next TV installment looking like a bleak, grimdark departure from that, we reflect on possible alternative approaches to Transformers television media that could appeal to kids and adults - all in an extremely poorly introduced segment, so hopefully you read this post first!
Stay tuned next week as we bring you another episode about, uh, well it'll be about Transformers but that's all we know so far! Thanks for listening.

That guy from the end of the most recent comic issue was Flatline, who showed up in the previous IDW continuity, a design that was based on Trailbreaker. He's actually a favorite of mine that is fairly obscure!
I got that reference to Armada Megs killing G1 Galvatron! That was badass
Ari, in terms of "Monster of the Week" and Animated, Season 1 was that, but it was Megatron rebuilding himself and bringing himself back, and then after that, they could not confront the cons every week because then it reduced their significance, seeing as how any time a con showed up for that crew it was a big deal. But also, once season 2 kicks off, it is a lot less of a Monster of the week style too.
That was an enjoyable episode! a little bit of Unicron Trilogy was nice to hear.
If you're thinking about other Quarantine subjects, I have a few ideas that I wouldn't mind hearing besides a Unicron Trilogy toys retro:
-Cyberverse Season 3 thoughts?
-New Cyberverse toys thoughts (did you guys see Rack n ruin is up on amazon?)?
-Beast Wars Fuzors: who was the best, who was the worst, which was the most creative, which is the ultimate standout toy?
-With Earthrise Megatron kind of being lame, and Super Megatron revealed, what is a non-tank/jet alt mode that you would like to see another Megatron take on as a toy?

Pretty sure I made a Monster of the Week reference to Season 1, pre-Megatron being rebuilt, but maybe not. In any case, we're on the same page.
