AHOY! Join the largest Twincast crew in quite awhile with ship's captain ScottyP the Host, and sailing pirate crew Counterpunch, Cobatron, Megatronus, xRotorstormx, and cabin boy Tigertrack in a super-appropriate, totally brand new, work from home format. Our topics this time include lots of exclusive toys-- a couple a little select bots by the name of Turtler and Gulf (or Snaptrap and Skalor for some), Walmart Exclusive NETFLIX War for Cybertron Siege Ultra Magnus revelations, and newly visualized Takara Tomy Exclusive Super Megatron--. We finish with some thoughts on one of our most recent comic releases, the 2nd part of the Cliffjumper Galaxies segment, Transformers Galaxies #6. Arrr-you ready, maties?
Episode #245 “On a Boat” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
First up, Hasbropulse finally shipped out Seacons 1 and 2. Even though some cast members have had them in hand for over a month, many are just getting to experience them. What do we love about Turtler and Gulf? They exist (and more)! Is there anything to dislike? Tune in to lots of discussion on these NEW AQUATIC COMBINING Decepticons. More preorders are available if we've softened your hearts to these wonderful beasties.
Next on our agenda is the 'cancel per-order' click heard round the world as we discuss the in hand images and revealed contents of the Walmart Exclusive NETFLIX War for Cyberton Siege Ultra Magnus. Are you keeping your pre-order? SPOILERS AHEAD, MATIES!
As if a normal Megatron isn't bad enough, now we get to see what the Takara Tomy Exclusive Super Megatron actually is. Are you impressed? Are we? Am I?
And finally, we finish with a discussion of one of the most recent (and last for a while) pieces of Transformers media out there, Transformers Galaxies Issue #6. ScottyP previously wrote a review of this issue, but the rest of the Twincast get our turn for sharing about this FUN issue.

I'm eager for the Seacon deluxes, especially Tentakil. I'm not huge on Turtler, but with everything he comes with, he is almost on par with a current leader: a voyager figure with a lot of accessories that make it a leader price point, at last that's how he looks to me.
I'm excited for Gulf, I love the big fish face.
I haven't cancelled Magnus yet, but I'm still really bummed by his deco. I was expecting so much more from him.
Super Megatron looks super fun, I'm eager to see what all tricks he has up his sleeve. I'm also a fan of his aesthetic.
I really enjoyed Galaxies 5 and 6 together, and I didn't really feel that 6 was too much weaker than 5. I did feel it ever so slightly, but it still felt really solid, and I enjoyed the Cliffjumper/Deathsaurus duo.
I'm still really bummed by the TPB vs hardcover, I want galaxies, but not the ongoing. it's a bummer that you have to buy galaxies with some of the ongoing.
I'm bummed that the shows are short, but I feel ok with the weekly shows, so I think the current format is working nicely!

I think the best way Super Megatron could handle his "mutton chops" is to take a page out of Animated Megatron's book by making sure they are still prominently featured without hanging down too far.
If Super Megatron is ever revisited in a mainline, I think he would be a perfect candidate for the modern leader class, as a voyager-sized Super Megatron with a bunch of extra parts, armor and weapons to become Ultra Megatron.
Hot take, but I actually think Ultra Magnus looks pretty cool, except for the gray shoulder pylons. His lack of a cloak is quite disappointing, however.

It was I! I know it's kind of an unpopular opinion, But I'd much rather be able to achieve running poses. I can tolerate an A-stance without the feet being flat on the ground. I tolerated it for YEARS!! Best scenario though, all of the above! i.e. ball joints!Tuned Agent wrote:To the podcaster who mentioned preferring forward-backward ankle articulation over tilts (I think it was Tigertrack, correct me if I'm wrong), you aren't the only one! While less dynamic looking, I've always felt forward-backward ankles allow for a wider range of poses.

My apologies (you don't even sound like Tigertrack, how did I mix that up... ). But I agree 100% about this unpopular opinion, especially for ball jointed ankles.

I mean, I can't really take credit for it, but thank you!

I will never settle for anything PR related.
