Were you expecting something mind-blowing from these tiny little Kabaya model kits? Part of the selling point of these is their charm and little quaintness.Rainmaker wrote:Is that really the G1 Seacons?

Not really but, it's a bit sticker crazy.

So are those the actual G1 Seacons or just a build your own kit?

These aren't G1 toys, though.Rainmaker wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Not when one considers that all Kabaya TF model kits are like that.Rainmaker wrote:Well, that's different

These are tiny, down-scaled, miniature replicas of the Hasbro/Takara-made G1 toys in model kit form made by Kabaya.Rainmaker wrote:Sabrblade wrote:These aren't G1 toys, though.Rainmaker wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Not when one considers that all Kabaya TF model kits are like that.Rainmaker wrote:Well, that's different

For example, Dai Atlas, Roadfire, and Sonic Bomber are pretty expensive toys, commanding between $300-$500 a piece. The Kabaya versions--which are pretty accurate to the originals, transformation wise--currently have a Buy It Now on ebay for $25.00 for the entire set of 3. Yes, they are MUCH smaller, have no electronics, and fragile... but they're a great alternative, and look great with large city bots.

Model kits I bought you had paint and glue if you want something fast and easy buy cheap model requires no glue that comes with stickers for details, I bought fundamental models they came with crappy stickers made gun dam look cheap, tacky, undetail enough, my last gundam I painted gloss car model kit paint was ver ka wing zero cockpit chest piece on gundam you can see brush strokes but everything else on gundam stood out eyes stood out more with glossy look and hiro pilot size of my pinky figure nail turned great

They may not be big highly detailed articulated figures that don't require parts to be removed to be transformed, BUT, for their size, they have a fair bit of articulation (and some even better articulated than their original G1 figures) and are just plain fun and make a great little addition to collections.
Don't be so quick to write them off just because they come packaged on plastic sprues and require you to put them together or because they're not as big or detailed as other figures until you actually try them. You might be pleasantly surprised.

I got Overlord and Roadceasar last year and I really like them. My G1 Overlord has a mini-me.

As another big Kabaya fan, I love both kits too. Road Caesar has the notable distinction of having infinitely better proportions than the original G1 as well.
I do have to say though, I wish Kabaya would do what the Mini-Pla Sentai kits do for post holes that go between halves of parts. The Mini-Pla kits, for those not familiar with them, use a separate piece for the post hole, so that fit tolerance between the two larger halves isn't an issue. I wish I had a picture handy to demonstrate what I'm trying to say...

I think a case on this set is only gonna get you one full set and two spares. Planning on just keeping my spares when I ship from HLJ again to just have extra stuff for The Masterforce to blow up.chuckdawg1999 wrote:I have a case sitting at BBTS, those are usually good for two complete kits.
