Festive Greetings, Seibertronians! Black Friday has come and gone, without any of the big discounts we usually see around this time of the year. While this is a disappointment to many, Hasbro is still providing some big deals for Cyber Monday (the online equivalent of Black Friday). Their eBay store has some great deals, like Micromaster 2-packs for nearly 60% off, 3/8ths of Studio Series Devastator (Mixmaster, Scrapper, and Scavenger) at a 20% discount, lots of different Siege and Studio Series deluxes also at 20% off, and a Series 1 BotBots pack at 60% off! Looking to pick up Siege Grapple or Snapdragon? $23.99 each, and to boot, many of these deals include free shipping! What are you waiting for? Click any of the pictures below to be taken to Hasbro's eBay page and shop for figures you may have missed, or for customizing fodder. Happy Cyber Monday!
That doesn't mean we're done with Siege stories, however. Seibertron is proud to exclusively bring to you an interview/Q&A with actor Shawn Hawkins, who voiced Mirage in the Siege cartoon! Read on to find out what he knew about Mirage prior to voicing him, how he feels about the Transformers fandom, and find out the 'bot he originally auditioned to voice before landing the role of the disappearing Autobot illusionist, Mirage!
Shawn Hawkins: Taylor! What a great surprise to wake up to this morning! Huge thank you to you and Ryan for having me on!
Taylor: It's our pleasure! So, Shawn, Tell us a little about yourself, your career, and how you came to voice acting. Is it a main focus of your career?
Shawn: Yeah so I’m originally from Upstate New York where I started in music. Ever since I was a kid I had a guitar in my hand and ended up playing in a few bands around New York. Then I went to college in Nashville, TN for music and business and ended up touring with some bands up and down the east coast. But at one point I just knew I wanted to get back in to acting. I had been a part of some theatre in high school but was interested in film and TV. So I ended up joining the theatre department at my college and then moving to Los Angeles right out of school. It was the best decision I ever made but it was definitely a big move. I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of some really fun and creative projects in my time here. A lot of indie film work and some television stuff as well, but voice acting was something I always wanted to do. I would make voices, probably just like everyone else as a kid but for me it continued and continued haha. I did some smaller (voiceover) stuff along the way but finally got this audition for Transformers WFC and I was sold. It was an absolute blast and I’m so thankful to have been a part of it. Sharing it all with the fans has been an incredible pleasure in my life!
Taylor: What was the audition process like for the Siege series? Did you read or audition just in general, or did you always know you'd be playing Mirage specifically?
Shawn: So I originally auditioned for the role of Bumblebee. We weren't told at the time what the project was. It had a code name and character code names but I knew reading it that it sounded a lot like Transformers. Of course, then I found out it was and that I was up for Bumblebee. Then after a few callbacks, they ended up giving me Mirage. And I am so incredibly thankful they did. I feel right at home with Mirage and I love his role in the series. As well as his role with the fans! I’m excited to share the next two seasons with you all and see what unfolds!
Taylor: How much did you know about Transformers before landing the role of Mirage? How much do you know now?
Shawn: Oh man! Well I grew up watching some G1 and saw all the Bay movies but I didn’t dive in until taking on Mirage. Now I’m learning things everyday. And it is mainly thanks to the fans! The Transformers community has been so welcoming and supportive. I am amazed at the interaction we get to have together. I wouldn’t trade it for the world and I look forward to many more meaningful interactions over the years. But yes, my capacity for Transformers material just keeps growing haha!
Taylor: How much interaction have you had with Transformers fans since the series aired? Were you a fan yourself before you got the role?
Shawn: Oh man! A ton!! I love it more than anything. Getting to meet all the fans and hear their stories. I actually pride myself on running a really interactive Instagram account where I connect with the fans on a daily basis, run giveaways and answer questions. If you’d love to connect, hit me up @shawn_hawkins. I was a fan before but not to the extent that I am now. It’s a whole new ball game!
Taylor: What did you know about the character of Mirage from the original cartoon series? Did you ever listen to the original voice actor to get a feel for his interpretation of the character?
Shawn: Well I knew he was the elite and also walked both sides of the fence. I knew that I was diving in deep because Mirage had such a unique voice in the original cartoon and I wanted to live up to that but also bring my own spin to it. Our sound engineer for WFC brought some great ideas and feedback to the table in a way that made me feel comfortable and confident with what I was bringing to set. For me I envisioned him sounding a little younger and I think the WFC team did as well. It was like watching this spunky rich kid who thought he knew more than everyone else but also sometimes.. he did. Haha! I loved it. And from what I’ve heard so far, the fans have been happy with the interpretation. I can’t ever predict that but I just brought my heart and soul to it and I always said, “There’s a reason I’m here on this mission... maybe this is it!!”
Taylor: What kind of direction were you given for the character? How is direction given for voice acting? Is the director in the studio with you when you record?
Shawn: Yeah so the direction was great. The VO director, Phil Bache, the engineer and the rest of the team had a really great idea of what they wanted already which made my job a lot easier. So we would go over individual lines and what they meant and I would just give a couple takes of each that were my interpretation of that. And we would go back and forth until we got something we were happy with. But yes, the director was always in the room and the guidance was top notch. I felt incredibly comfortable and free to play as well which is something you really appreciate as a voice actor.
Taylor: What's next for Mirage? Do you know if you'll be reprising him in the follow-up series to Siege?
Shawn: What’s next?! Well I’ve got some things on the plate. I don’t know what I’m allowed to say but I believe you’ll be seeing more Mirage in the near future! I am so stoked for the next two seasons to air and to celebrate with the fans. Other than that I’ve got a few smaller projects in the works and I’m also launching a Youtube channel for the Transformers fans and community. I’m incredibly excited to share that with you all. Be sure to check me out on Instagram @shawn_hawkins for when that drops and more cool Mirage stuff!
Taylor: What's next for you professionally?
Shawn: Professionally, I’m going to take a nice vacation haha. We have planned to go visit some family in Sedona Arizona here in October to just relax and reconnect. I keep myself pretty busy all the time so remembering to relax is important for me. But lots of cool things. I’m working on that Youtube channel and I also oversee a couple small businesses as well as audition regularly here in LA. There are a few films and shows on the horizon so I will have to keep you all posted! Thank you guys so much for having me and keep up the awesome work you’re doing at Seibertron! Such a pleasure to chat with you and connect with the fans.
And as for keeping connected with fans, Shawn has some exciting news for you, Seibertronians!
We wanted to do a special GIVEAWAY with everyone who keeps up with Seibertron. I will be giving away a signed Mirage figure from the WFC Netflix series to one lucky winner. If you’d like a shot at winning this you just have to follow Seiberton (Instagram @seibertroncom) and go over and give a follow to @shawn_hawkins. After you follow me, shoot me a DM with the word SEIBERTRON! So stoked to get to meet you guys and good luck with the giveaway! We will run this for two weeks from the date of posting. Much love to you all and thanks for letting me be a part of your world! )
Many thanks to Shawn for your time and talent, and willingness to share with us some fun insights into the world of a Transformers voice actor!

In addition to official product images and other reveals from Hasbro PulseCon 2020, we took the liberty of making screen captures of the video panels to share with all of you in case you missed watching the actual video earlier today. The panel offers different official product looks of the upcoming Transformers War for Cybertron Kingdom products (as well as others) in addition to the products in-hand. During the Entertainment panel, the first War for Cybertron Earthrise trailer was shown which showed Bug-bite, Doubledealer, and the Conehead Seekers amongst others. Check out the highlights from the panel below and click on any of the images to view the full galleries. Admittedly, there's an excessive amount of images but there's a lot to see, especially with the in-hand shots. Enjoy!

Lots of Transformers War for Cybertron Kingdom news out today, most of which came from Hasbro's PulseCon 2020.
One of the big highlights is a poster for the War for Cybertron Kingdom toy line showing the Titan Class Ark transformed into robot mode (which appears to have the Last Autobot's head design from the last issues of the Marvel Transformers comic books! You can see the images below, it was shared in Seibertron.com's screen capture gallery of the Hasbro PulseCon 2020 videos.
I wouldn't take the entire poster as a proof that all these characters are coming out though since this is probably concept art, before the toyline was finalized. Polar Claw, for instance, is not said to be part of the line, according to those who know what's coming.
We also have new packaging. while the boxes retain the same shape as the previous entries in the trilogy, the window component is made smaller, to minimize plastic. Of course, we can still see the figure inside though.

Can you believe that the last we heard of this Masterpiece Tigatron was before the COVID 19 lockdown? Well, with parts of the world getting back to normal, there was actually a show that Hasbro physically attended just a few days ago. And they brought in not only their products but also the products they are importing from Takara, such as God Neptune, Super Megatron and MP-50 Tigatron. Those toys were on display and you can see images of them below. Also on display was the upcoming MP Arcee, MPM Starscream, the Quintesson Pit set and basically the entire output of the year so far. The convention in question was the Hasbro Fans Expo in Hong Kong. The images came from Toyswalker, Hobymizer, and DMS Toys Treasure on Facebook.

SDCC at home has been happening this week-end and while Hasbro is not part of it, both IDW and Rooster Teeth had panels of their own where they discussed Transformers. For IDW, we had John Barber and Chris Ryal (who will soon be leaving the company) discussing the future of the brand within IDW. With Rooster Teeth, we got an exclusive clip featuring Cliffjumper. They also stated that the Netflix series is not a continuity of its own, it is part of the wider G1 story. That discussion starts at around the 18 minute mark.
You can watch both videos below. We also have a video from the Robocon 2020 virtual con Transformers Netflix panel that was also released yesterday featuring the show runner and voice actors.

Well, for those who like G1 and Funko Pops, this could make you happy. These new Transformers Pops were revealed as part on Instagram along with others, like the Monopoly man and Furby. The ones shown are Optimus Prime and Bumblebee but the deal here is that they are a combo of different G1 aspects. The heads come from the cartoon (Bumblebee has a mouth for instance) while the bodies are based on the G1 toys.
Check them out below and let us know if this mishmash interests you or if you were going to buy them regardless or not buy them no matter how they looked.
Clear Optimus Prime (full gallery here) comes in special packaging including a special metal box for $60 coming in August. Black Star Saber (full gallery here) features 6 purple lights and Decepticon symbols for $400 released in December.
Are you getting either of these? Be sure to let us know and what you think in the Energon Pub forums below!

Below is the video to the Fan First Friday Transformers event but you can also see the images and descriptions of what was revealed below. None of these are for wide brick and mortar retail release.
We saw the G1 reissue of Blaster which we already knew was coming due to the Fan Vote. This will be a Walmart exclusive as with all G1 reissues. They also showed a Blaster shirt, exclusive to Hasbro Pulse.
There will be a weapons pack and Centurione Drone set, meaning that the image we saw earilier is indeed of a toy coming out. We also have an image of the weapons that drone comes with. It includes Roller, Megatron in Blaster mode along with a bunch of other neat things. This will be exclusive to Hasbro Pulse.
Two other pieces of news were confirmed. Firstly, we will be getting an Autobot Clone two-pack and, secondly, the Transformers RED series will include characters from all different eras. So that Arcee listing will most probably be of the character from the Prime show.

If you follow Hasbro Pulse then you'll know that for a while now Hasbro has been using the store as a platform to livestream new figures from their various franchises every Friday. For the most part the focus has been on Star Wars and Marvel, but this coming Friday it's Transformers time to shine! But they aren't shining alone as it'll be a joint stream with G.I. Joe! Transformers will start streaming at 11:00 AM EST and G.I. Joe at 12:30 PM EST. You'll recall a recent leak revealed a G.I. Joe & Transformers set was planned for San Diego Comic Con, now likely to be a solo Pulse exclusive, this seems like the ideal place to reveal it!
Join us for a very special double feature Fan First Friday on June 26th, where we'll be livestreaming with the TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE teams! TRANSFORMERS will roll out Fan First Friday at 11am EST, followed by a short intermission and then G.I. JOE at 12:30pm EST.
And that's not even all of it. The live streams will also feature a short Q&A session with the design teams so get your questions ready and submit them to their facebook and Instagram pages!
20 years ago this month, I built Seibertron.com. It was once a megaphone that I would use on occasion to show my support for things like Rock The Vote or to share my thoughts about 9/11 or other things non-Transformers related of which I was passionate. As Seibertron.com became more of a business over the years and as I became married and a father, I ceased using it as a megaphone for the things in which I believe are right. For too long, my megaphone has been silent.
For those of you who are upset because you came to Seibertron.com today to escape reality, I'm sorry. Today, is not the day that we get to come here and ignore what is going on elsewhere within the world. Today is a day that we need to acknowledge what is happening. You can't hide behind your computer today when others need us.
We are at one of the most historic junctions in our lifetime. We are in the midst of a pandemic. We are in the midst of financial challenges not seen in generations. We are in the midst of a racial crisis. These are just some of the challenges that face us at this moment. It is time to be silent no more.
Aside from telling all of you to practice social distancing, wear masks, be safe, and be smart ... there is little influence I can have over mother nature and a pandemic. However, the same can not be said about my ability to have some influence over the injustice and unfair treatment others must endure simply because of the color of their skins.
While we were all created equal, our society does not treat us all as equal. There are so many things that divide us and keep us apart. It is time for some deep soul searching my friends, my fellow Seibertronians and my fellow Transformers fans. It is time to ask yourself ... what can you do to help stop racial injustices?
We are all at a junction where we need to chart a different course than the road with which we have all traveled for so very long. It is time for change. It is time for us to all come together. It is time to say we are all equal and mean it. It is time to stand up to the unfair treatment that others receive because of the color of their skin.
Today, there will be demonstrations throughout our nation, and possibly the world. Peaceful protests expressing that BLACK LIVES MATTER. Protests against police brutality. Protests against being treated unfairly or unequal. Protests to hopefully change our course for the better.
As Transformers fans, the phrase "'Til All Are One" means so much to us. These words were first spoken by the Transformers Autobot leader Optimus Prime in the 1986 Transformers animated movie. In the fictional world of the Transformers, it is a statement, a rallying cry, a call for hope, a desire to unify, a moment of reflection, a wish for peace. It is a phrase that exemplifies this current moment where we need to bring all colors of people together, to be treated fairly and as equals. If "'Til All Are One" means something to you, it's time for you to share that with others. It does not just have to belong to the Transformers fiction. It is an ideal and a belief that we can share with everyone around us around the world.
If you do not wish to take part in today's protests, that's fine. But please, ask yourself what you can do to help make a difference. Donate to a charitable cause that helps others. Denounce racism. Spend some time trying to understand systemic racism. Ask yourself whether or not you are part of the problem or the solution. Spend 30 minutes today to educate yourself about some of the tragedies that have befallen people of color. Just do something to help move all of us forward as a society. Everyone plays a part in this.
I have been asking myself that same question throughout this week. To help make a difference, I turned my megaphone back on for today to reach out to the 250,000+ unique visitors that come to Seibertron.com each month. I am helping my bringing further awareness to this issue. I reached out to ask all of you ... What can you do to help make a difference?
My megaphone is silent no more. Rest assured, this won't be something I abuse. This topic needed to be addressed today.
Do your part. Show your support. Do whatever you can.

For our Japanese friends, we are sad to report that the Tokyo Toy Show & Wonder Festival (Summer) 2020 conventions have been officially cancelled. These were both events that Takara attended and this is usually where we saw new announcements for upcoming Masterpice toys, other Japanese exclusives, and even just better glimpses at toys Hasbro would be releasing as well.
This is of course, not surprising as big indoor gatherings of this kind will probably be the last thing to be brought back once the global situation with the virus gets better.
It was announced that there will be a Wonder Festival on November 1st this year instead.
The dramatic and unprecedented impact of the Coronavirus pandemic continues with its latest casualty. Earlier today, the organizers behind San Diego Comic-Con announced that this summer's SDCC 2020 event is canceled, which would be the first time ever in its 50 year history. The decision was made after recent statements by California's Governor as well as their monitoring of health advisories. As one can imagine, social distancing is very challenging at an event so large with hundreds of thousands of attendees from around the world.
This marks the 2nd event that has been canceled for Transformers fans, the first being the unofficial fan-convention TFcon USA, which was canceled last month near the beginning of the pandemic here in the United States.
Over the past couple of decades, SDCC had become a tent pole event of the year for many pop-culture icons like the Transformers brand. With new product reveals, celebrity interviews and appearances, exclusive toys and comics, and so on, fans have clamored around this event year after year.
One could make the argument that the importance of SDCC for some pop-culture toy brands has become bigger than the annual New York Toy Fair, which happens annually in February.
While no Transformers exclusives had been announced for SDCC 2020, it is presumed that there were to be exclusives and it is assumed that those exclusives will most likely find another home online in order to get those products to consumers. We will keep you updated as further information becomes available.
Here is the direct message from the organizers of San Diego Comic-Con:
Comic-Con Announces Plans in Light of the Covid-19 Pandemic
The Current Situation Requires Exceptional Measures
For the first time in its 50-year history San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC), the organizers behind the annual pop culture celebration, announced today with deep regret that there will be no Comic-Con in 2020. The event will instead return to the San Diego Convention Center from July 22-25, 2021.
Recognizing that countless attendees save and plan for its conventions each year, and how many exhibitors and stakeholders rely upon its events for a major portion of their livelihood, they had hoped to delay this decision in anticipation that COVID-19 concerns might lessen by summer. Continuous monitoring of health advisories and recent statements by the Governor of California have made it clear that it would not be safe to move forward with plans for this year.
Similarly, WonderCon Anaheim, which was to have been held April 10-12, 2020 will return to the Anaheim Convention Center from March 26-28, 2021.
In addition to their conventions, Comic-Con has been planning a major renovation of Balboa Park’s Federal Building to be completed for the grand opening of the Comic-Con Museum in the summer of 2021. However, the COVID-19 situation has had an effect on those efforts as well. As such, they will be rephasing the Museum’s initially planned major renovations, but will not scale back the experience to be offered to visitors upon the Museum’s grand opening. They anticipate releasing building plans illustrating the Museum’s transformation and sharing more information about those efforts in the coming months.
SDCC also announced that individuals who purchased badges for Comic-Con 2020 will have the option to request a refund or transfer their badges to Comic-Con 2021. All 2020 badge holders will receive an email within the next week with instructions on how to request a refund. Exhibitors for Comic-Con 2020 will also have the option to request a refund or transfer their payments to Comic-Con 2021 and will also receive an email within the next week with instructions on how to process their request.
In the next few days onPeak, Comic-Con’s official hotel affiliate, will be canceling all hotel reservations and refunding all deposits made through them. There is no need for anyone who booked through onPeak to take any action, including trying to cancel their reservations online or contacting the company via phone as the process will be handled automatically. Those who booked rooms through onPeak will be notified when refunds have been completed.
"Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures and while we are saddened to take this action, we know it is the right decision," said David Glanzer, spokesperson for the organization. "We eagerly look forward to the time when we can all meet again and share in the community we all love and enjoy."
While this is a bummer, it was expected and is something that should have been canceled in lieu of the pandemic and the extreme importance of social distancing in order to defeat this virus. Until we can all get together again, stay safe and healthy my friends and fellow Seibertronians.

Thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, EVERYTHING HAS BEEN CANCELED. Life goes on in the new normal, however, and people are finding ways to enjoy life regardless. One such example is that of IDW's presence at WonderCon 2020 ... which is something of a smaller scale San Diego Comic Con that happens annually at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA each Spring. Wondercon 2020 was postponed until further notice due to the Coronavirus, though San Diego Comic-Con still has not been postponed or canceled unfortunately as of this news post. While the publisher of the ongoing Transformers titles, along with other Hasbro brands such as My Little Pony and G.I. Joe, was set to have a presence at this year's convention along with several con-exclusive comic covers, COVID-19 scuttled those plans. However, IDW is still offering these exclusive comics online!
Check out their announcement below then click on any of the exclusive cover images shown below to be taken to their order page!

Thanks to Seibertronian Bed Bugs we've learned that TFcon Orlando in Florida has been canceled. This comes only a week before the event was intended to take place on March 20 as the world braces for the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19). They do intend to still hold an event in the Fall with a location and date announced later. A message on TFcon's Facebook page explains:
To our valued fans, friends, and partners,
TFcon Orlando has been canceled.
Attendees, vendors, and artists will be issued automatic refunds.
Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation.
We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event for our fans and supporters. But we know it’s the right decision based on the information we have today.
We will announce the date and location of our fall show next weekend.
This comes the same day Florida Governor Ron DeSantis encouraged event cancellations and increased social distancing to decrease further spread of the virus.

Greetings all. Courtesy of our friends from down under, Ozformers has posted images from their toy fair this weekend on the Ozformers Facebook page! A multitude of items were on display here, showing off product from all the major Transformers lines, including Earthrise, Studio Series, Cyberverse, Botbots and even Masterpiece. The most interesting image to note here is the Sky Lynx display which included the original G1 Sky Lynx next to his new Earthrise figure! This is our first direct comparison between these two "magnificent" specimens, giving us a good side by side look at the old and the new. Earthrise Sky Lynx appears to be even larger than the original with a darker shade of blue and red to go along with all the bells and whistles of modern engineering. Sky Lynx would be pleased.
We have provided all the images from the Ozformers Facebook post for your viewing pleasure. Give them a look!
Are you excited about all these new releases coming down the pipe? Does this magnificent new Sky Lynx tickle your fancy? Let us know in the comments down below and keep it tuned to Seibertron.com for all your Transformers needs!
