It's been quiet on the Earthrise front ever since the line was launched all at once. Well, we are now in the year's second quarter and wave 2 is rolling out. Thanks to TF fans Nicholas, we now know that the wave 2 deluxes are out in the US. Optimus Prime and Shockwave were fund at a Walmart in the East Coast, the sighting was posted on the Botposing Facebook page along with an in hand image from Darren. Unlike wave 1, these are not fully new molds. Optimus Prime is a partial of Cyberverse Optimus while Shockwave is a straight redeco. Luckily though, Shockwave is not essential for the build a figure since he comes with an alternate robot arm.

Once again, lots of Transformers Rise of the Beasts news to get to. We have new images of Scourge and Scorponok toys. For Scourge we have the Titan Changer which we had never seen before and the Beast Combiner set which we now see in better detail. That set comes with a Scorponok toy that becomes armor. And speaking of Scorponok we have an image of the exclusive Weaponizer set. It came out in Japan and on the packaging we have our first look at the CG render of Scorponok. It is in beast mode and according to test screenings Scorponok is a drone like army, as is Freezer.
In other ROTB news, we have some in hand images of deluxe class Mirage.
Enjoy and let us know what you think about all this.

We were sent new stock images for two yet to be revealed toys in the Transformers Rise of the Beasts line: Battle Master Optimus Primal and the Weapoinizer Arcee 2 pack. We saw both toys before but these images give us a better look at them, and for Arcee we can see the robot mode. Some say it looks better than the Studio Series version. While that may be the case for the bot mode, it does come at a cost of an alt mode where the fake chest is not hidden in bike mode, resulting in a very awkward looking motorcycle.

You probably have seen the transforming masks of Rise of the Beasts Bumblebee and Optimus Primal in stores by now. If you wanted to know more about them, we have a review of them both below.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:When the masks were first revealed I was intrigued with them and had a few questions; how would they work, fit, and feel? Well, I'm happy with both of them but I really enjoy the Optimus Primal mask that much more. Transformation is relatively simple, any issues might come from the ratcheting joints having to be worked into the right positions. Surprisingly the straps don't really get in the way and tuck nicely into the back of the figures. The price might be a little off-putting so if you can only get one, Primal is the way to go.

Retro Hound and Thunderdracker have been found for a little while in Canadian Walmarts and Americans are getting notices that their Hound is ready to ship out soon. For those unsure whether to buy this toy or not or what to look out for (since there may be breakage issues), we have a video review for you below. And this is the first reissue of Hound in the west, so many fans are maybe unfamiliar with this mold. The review shows some size comparisons and reassures that there is indeed die cast in the toy.

Transformers reviewers are hard at work covering all the new releases in the Transformers Rise of the Beasts line. Here are some reviews for toys we had not covered yet, voyager class Optimus Primal and Optimus Prime, as well as Smash and Change Rhinox. All of these reviews come from Prime vs Prime. Optimus Primal has been really tough to get a good read on since his deco looks really drab when seen through a camera lens. Hopefully this review sheds some proper light on the figure.
Remember, these toys are all in the mainline. In Studio Series, we will get a leader class Optimus Primal, a voyager class Rhinox and a voyager class Optimus Prime but that last one will be a Target exclusive.

While these toys have been around for a couple of weeks, we haven't had the time to post all the reviews for every toy found in the Rise of the Beasts toyline, but we'll get to them all. Here are reviews for the two other Beast Combiners, Arcee and Bumblebee. Both are simplified deluxe figures which have a rather large animal friend that turns into armor. Hopefully these reviews help you see what is in store for those curious about the figures.
Bumblebee
Arcee
And we also have another review of both those sets from Chuckdawg1999 who also had this to say about them:
chuckdawg1999 wrote:If you liked Optimus Primal then there's more of the same here with Arcee and Bumblebee, literally, their beast partners share tooling. Obviously, Arcee and Bee are far more involved with their transformations than Primal. Each set offers its own positives and negatives so it's ultimately up to you which character you like the best.

If you're a fan of both Street Fighter and Transformers, you'll definitely want to check out the Takara Tomy Street Fighter X Transformers action figure toys that were released in 2018. Seibertron.com's galleries offer a great look at these action figures that bring together two classic franchises in an exciting way.
The Street Fighter Transformers line features four of the most popular characters from both franchises - Convoy [Ryu], Megatron [Vega], Hot Rodimus [Ken] and Arcee [Chun-Li] - who transform into robots from vehicle forms. Ryu, who is a triplechanger, transforms from an airplane to a truck. Hot Rodimus [Ken] transforms into a red sports car, while Arcee (Chun-Li) transforms into a convertible sports car that has Chun-Li's color scheme. Vega transforms from a tank to an aerodynamic fighter jet.
Each figure has a unique transformation sequence, which adds to the excitement of collecting them. And the attention to detail is impressive, with the figures capturing the essence of both franchises. The Street Fighter characters have been given a robotic twist, with their "costumes" and color schemes now incorporating elements of the Transformers universe.
The Takara Tomy Street Fighter Transformers line was a hit with fans, and in 2022, Hasbro re-released the figures with no apparent changes as part of their Transformers Collaborative line to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Street Fighter brand. This means that even more fans can now get their hands on these amazing action figures.
Seibertron.com's comprehensive galleries provide a close look at these figures, showcasing their incredible attention to detail and unique transformations. Whether you're a fan of Street Fighter or Transformers, or just love collecting unique action figures, these toys are a great addition to any collection.
The Takara Tomy Street Fighter X Transformers toys are a fantastic fusion of two iconic franchises. With their unique transformations and attention to detail, these figures are a must-have for any collector. If you're looking to add an exciting and unique new element to your collection, be sure to check them out! In the meantime, check out Seibertron.com's galleries below by clicking on any of the images. No matter which galleries you check out, "YOU WIN!"

The Transformers Rise of the Beasts toyline is out in most parts of the world and while it is very big with not every country getting every size class yet, the Beast Battle Master class seems to be one of the more commonly found ones. Those are the Targetmasters and so far we have Rhinox, Cheetor and Skullcruncher. These are also the toys within the gimmick line that have had the most excitement from fans since the Targetmaster gimmick is the same one we've had since G1 and lends well to a collection. Plus, as you'll see in the reviews, the detailing on the figures is very good.
For those still unsure whether or not they are worth a pick up, we have rounded up some reviews of these three toys. Enjoy!

While you'll still find some deep hated hatred for the live action Transformers films amongst the fan community, it's easy to forget how popular and bankable they were in the past. Case in point, did you know that Transformers Revenge of the Fallen had the box office record for domestic (US) 5 day opening? It's held that record for over a decade and has only been beaten now by the Super Mario Brothers film.
At least that's what you'll see in the trades. And while it is accurate, here are some details to clarify that claim. Indeed, Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF) had amassed the most money for a 5 day opening week-end, meaning a week-end where the film opens on Wednesday. The record for ROTF was $200M domestically. The Super Mario Brothers film made $204M domestically within that same amount of time, finally beating it out.
That does not account for inflation though, which anyone looking at prices in the toy aisle is reminded of every day. With inflation, ROTF would be at $271M, so far more than the Super Mario Brothers film, and that would also mean that it sold more tickets than Mario at the time.
However, neither of those films are the true opening week-end winners since Avengers Endgame holds that title at $357M in only 3 days, which is crazy when you compare it to the $200M Mario and ROTF made in 5 days.

You'd be surprised at how much news one gimmicky toy could have. Rise of the Beasts Smash and Change Optimus Primal was featured in a Japanese commercial for the toyline. In it, the main actress, Akiko Wada, transforms into Optimus Primal's bot mode BUT the toy they chose to superimpose her face upon is a yet to be revealed toy. It is not Smash and Change Primal, which we can tell due to the different details and articulated hands.
Speaking of articulation, if you are curious to know how articulated the real Smash and Change toy is, here is a review for you below (spoiler alert: it has 0 points of articulation). We do get a good size comparison though.

Toysrus stores across the Canadian nation have waited until the 10th to put the Rise of the Beasts toys on shelves, since that is the official release date. Below you will see images of what they had, which includes Battle Masters, Battle Changers (the wave including Mirage), Beast Combiners, Nerf gun Optimus, Smash and Change figures and role play masks.
And for people wanting to see what else was at that same Toysrus, here you go:

Since the Rise of the Beasts toyline is using new names for their size classes in the more gimmicky toys, fans have been a bit puzzled as to the size. It also doesn't help that the limited articulation makes it hard to tell if a toy is deluxe, scout or even legion sized. Hopefully the reviews below help clarify that for the Battle Changer class. We've seen reviews for Optimus and Bumblebee since last year and now we have some for Rhinox and Mirage. Enjoy!
chuckdawg1999 wrote:I think Mirage is supposed to be part of Wave 02 but with the way figures are being released, who knows? Regardless, Mirage is a really fun, simple transforming interpretation of the character in the film. The flip-out weapon gimmick is fun and doesn't take away from the rest of the figure. I'd like to see the Battle Changer Class transcend the movie line and become the new entry point class in the future.
And here are review for Optimus and Bumblebee if you need a refresher.

Fellow Seibertronian Whirlkick has found some Rise of the Beasts toys in the UK at Smyth's. You can read their report below. We also have reports of the 2 Beast Mode Bumblebee and Optimus toys out at Smyth's in Gillingham, first posted here by TFMJ where we can see them next to various other ROTB toys like the Smash Changers.
"The RoTB mainline figures are now available in different places the UK, such as Smyth's and The Entertainer. It seems the embargo date was April 10th so the floodgates have now opened!
The figures are showing as available on the Smyth's website, which includes figures like the mainline deluxes. When I was at Smyth's in Watford today, none of the figures were out on the shelves yet, as they hadn't yet allocated space for the new figures as there's so many of them and so little shelf space for Transformers. The UK community should keep an eye out for TF sales for non-ROTB figures at Smyth's!
I had to ask someone working there to get the figures from the back for me, which they did. I bought the mainline deluxe Bee and the Optimus/Chainclaw pack. I've included some photos, including a side by side of mainline Bee with SS Bee."

The Rise of the Beasts news just keeps on truckn'. We had showed images of Beast Mode Optimus Prime and Battle Changers Scourge earlier. Well now we have more stock images of them in good definition.
We also have the stock images for the deluxe toys, the Voyager toys, Battle Changers Mirage and the Wheeljack two pack

It's hard to keep up with this new Rise of the Beasts toyline with there being so much product all coming out at the same time across the globe. When it comes to the US, almost everything has been released, now that the voyagers and flex changers have been found. Both the voyagers (which includes Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal) and the flex changers (the one steps) were found at Walmarts across the nation.
You'll also notice the absence of the main villain, Scourge, in these more kid friendly lines. Well, there's more of him coming. We now have images of Battle Changers Scourge (simple conversion toy between scout and deluxe class) and Beast Changer Scourge (with Scorponok armor). We also have images of the rest of the single released deluxes. So now you have even more options to buy everyone's favourite Bespectacled Autobot, Wheeljack.
