Greetings Seibertronians! Fresh from the first official promotional pictures of the Chinese Exclusive Nezha : Transformers toyline and cartoon, we have our first video review!

Blog Autobase Aichi found both the new in package pictures of the Nezha figure and a video review on the Chinese social media site, Weibo.

Here is the new in package images, with a close up on the back showing another two characters from the show. These were posted by Weibo user DioXDio.

The video review details the articulation, the conversion from Robot to alt mode (as well as showing us what's underneath the car mode) and shows that the weapons can clip together (though this primarily looks to be for storage purposes rather then anything else.)

The video review is in Chinese though,so please bare that in mind. The review was created by Weibo User Tao Ge Evaluation.

What do you think of this first release of this exclusive toyline? Any of you feel the urge to hunt down Nezha? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

The new deluxe Cyberverse toys are by far the toy which fans are most curious about. We all know more or less what to expect from more toys from the Studio Series or War for Cybertron Trilogy line but this is completely new.

I will start by saying this, while these deluxes are the same price point as a Studio Series and WFC deluxe they are as different from either of those as a Studio Series toy is from a WFC toy. It's a different feel and aesthetic. This review is for Optimus Prime. This toy is a third more expensive than the simplified warrior class Prime and it is twice as good. But that still doesn't say much and I will admit, while this is very much a traditional deluxe fans are accustomed to, I think it still falls a little short.

We've had deluxe Primes before, and this one won't join any of my top lists. While he is faaaar more articulated than the Prime we got in RID, his design is just the standard G1 Prime. You already know how the legs will transform. Then again, now that I think of it, when it comes to deluxe G1 Primes, this might be the best one. It's not like the competition is fierce. He isn't anywhere near as good as the WFC deluxe Prime we got from 2010 though, when just thinking about deluxe class Primes.

The robot mode is far better than the cab mode. While the cab mode is better than many recent primes (POTP or anything else from Cyberverse), it is still filled with gaps. The base of the cab mode is quite an eyesore with these protruding hinges that make it look like he has a snow plow attached.

The Transformation for his upper body is fine. The way they handle the front wheels folding away is something I found new for Prime and I do like the added step of the headlights folding away, but that's as far as it gets for ingenuity. At least there's no cheating with fake parts. It's a good looking robot mode though. The back is nice and neat with some nice added detail and weapon storage. His deco is great. There is a lot of minutia with the front of the truck and the feet. I also love that blue plastic for the legs. I would have really loved them to paint those forearm triangles yellow though.

I like that the chest opens to reveal the matrix and that you can use the effect part as either coming from his blaster or from his chest. Speaking of the effect part, it's compatible with other effects from Siege and even with 5mm holes.

In the end, he definitely deserves that deluxe label. Compared to Siege Prowl for instance, he has a as much if not more parts (Prime felt slightly more complex), more paint apps (though the amount of paint is probably the same), two combining effect parts and even a build a figure piece. We all paid a similar price for less than what we are getting here but small Optimus Prime toys were never really my bag and I don't think this one knocks it out of the park. I will leave you now with some size comparisons with other deluxe figures.

This review is for deluxe Megatron.

In terms of complexity, Megatron is as complex as you can get for a deluxe figure. He feels closer to the 2012 deluxe War for Cybertron (the videogame) Optimus Prime in terms of what the transformation entails. I tend to never look at instructions for Transformers, but with this toy there were some parts that were so unintuitive to anything I had played with before that I needed some directions. This is not a bad thing at all, instead it shows that after a myriad of tank Megatrons, the designers can still come up with fresh transformations. I am happy to finally get a good toy of this cool looking futuristic tank alt mode. It looks like a tank designed by Elon Musk.

The most interesting part of the transformation is how neat the tank parts compact into the robot's back without giving him too bad a backpack. It really feels like the ideal type of transformation to me, where you have the alt mode changing shape to form the robot's mass. That aspect feels a lot like the War for Cybertron (the videogame) deluxe Optimus I compared him to earlier.

The design is great too. This is a near spitting image of the Cyberverse design which itself was based on the Evergreen design that we all thought was awesome. The face is where the cartoony aspect comes in.

He comes with his arm cannon and 2 clear effect parts (along with the build a figure piece). The cannon can be placed in the classic manner on the robot arm but can also be handheld and it can also be held by both his hands to replicate the fusion blast effect from the Ultimate Megatron toy. The effects are both 3mm and 5mm compatible, so you can do whatever you want with them.

The part that differentiates this toy most from Studio Series or Siege, aside from the aesthetic and scale, are the joint types. While this is a very complex toy, the fact that this is still the kid cartoon line seems to honour the tradition of ball joints. They give great movement but they also make the toy feel very much like a toy. Limbs can be more easily removed if excessive force is applied (rather than breaking) and there can be some looseness. Mine can hold poses well, as you can see, but they do feel a bit loose depending on which direction you move the legs and arms. The ball joints do give him a lot of articulation though. He also have wrist, ankle and waist articulation.

Overall, I came for the design and stayed for the involved and new transformation. In terms of value, I feel we are getting something comparable to other deluxes asking the same price, like Siege Prowl, and that's before I consider the Build A Figure piece which I always feel should be a bonus and not something that influences the price. Here, it's more of an incentive to buy the whole line, which I am fine with.

People have been calling these small deluxes, but the size seems rather average to me, I will leave you with some comparisons.

Earlier today, we posted a video review for Hoist, one of the new Deluxe Class figures in the first wave of the upcoming War for Cybertron Earthrise toy line. Not content with just one review, we're now bring to you another video review, this time for Deluxe Class Ironworks! Brief refresher: Ironworks was the name of a non-transforming Micromaster base in the original G1 toyline. For Earthrise, Ironworks not only gains sentience, but also a pull-apart-to-transform robot mode, much like the Weaponizers of the Siege line. Unlike those figures, though, Ironworks reassembles into his old form as a Micromaster base, rather than weapons and armor. Now, onto the review!

This review comes to us from regular reviewer TonTon who does a great job showing off all the detail on the figure, as well as both his modes. Shout out to Seibertronians Calidus and TFanPage101 for the heads up.

Though the official release date for these figures isn't until March, the combination of figures already being reviewed and past toylines launching before the official date could mean we'll see these figures in the next couple of months, if not weeks. As always, what are your thoughts on this figure? Is this new play pattern with this type of figure a draw or a negative to you? Will you be picking up Ironworks to go along with your Micromaster figures? Let us know in the comments below.

Thanks to our old pal Chuckdawg1999, we have a new video review to share with you! Today, Chuck takes a look at the final figure from the Siege line, Leader Class Astrotrain. While previous figures have transformed into a shuttle and train, this is the first version of the character to transform into his original G1 locomotive mode, rather than a bullet train or a Cybertronian train. While Astrotrain is being sold at the Leader Class price point, he comes out to be roughly Voyager sized, or as Chuck explains it:

Astrotrain is a good figure and a great note to end the Siege line on. Unfortunately, I don't feel it's worth the price it's going for now, but this is the new reality we have to get used to with Leader Class figures going forward.

On to the review!

Your thoughts, Seibertronians? While you're mulling over the review, why not check out Seibertron's high quality galleries of this figure to see if that will help make up your mind. Please share your thoughts below! Astrotrain hasn't been widely spotted at retail yet, but should be hitting stores just in time for the holidays.

We've got some exciting news for all you Seibertronians today! Many of you have let us know that PrimeVsPrime on YouTube has upload a video reviewing the all new Transformers: Generations - War for Cybertron Trilogy - Earthrise Deluxe Class Cliffjumper! Thanks to Lord Chaonix, Kaynowa, and PrimeVsPrime for this scoop! The review covers the conversion from vehicle mode to robot mode, which contains a surprising step in the process, along with demonstrations on how to configure the very modular accessory pieces in both modes, and some size comparisons with other contemporary Transfromers releases, including MP-45 Bumblebee and WFC-S65 Voyager Class Classic Animation Optimus Prime. Take a look at the review for yourselves down below.

What do you think of this new Earthrise Deluxe Class Cliffjumper mold? This is the first time in a long while that a figure has been designed to be G1 Cliffjumper from the ground up, rather than a repaint of Bumblebee or a reuse from another continuity's version of Cliffjumper. Let us know your thoughts in the comments that follow, and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest news in all things Transformers!

Thanks to our old pal chuckdawg1999, we have a new video review for you today, starring the final deluxe class Autobot from Siege: Crosshairs!

Crosshairs is a repaint of the wave 2 Ironhide figure, complete with a new head that is accurate to his animation model from the 4th season of the G1 Cartoon, AKA The Rebirth. Crosshairs comes with the same weapon as Ironhide did, though you can give him the Trenchfoot Battlemaster that came in the Autobot Amazon package that included G2 Sidewipe and Slamdance.

Crosshairs is showing up in stores now, so head on out and hunt him down! And if this video review wasn't enough, you can always check out our Seibertron.com gallery for Crosshairs.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Crosshairs is a repaint with a new head of Ironhide based on the late G1 Targetmaster. Thankfully, the leg panels are tighter on Crosshairs than on Ironhide and hold in place during transformation. All the joints are just as stable as on my copy on Ironhide which is a tip of the hat to the Hasbro design team that in the Siege line all repaints were just as good as their original versions.

So Masterpiece Blackarachnia is out, what do you all think? I personally think she is exactly as expected from the images. The robot mode is excellent, the paint work is probably the best I have ever seen in my life on a Transformer, but the whole abdomen area for the spider is indeed as it looked on the best pictures. The frustrating part is that not everything tabs in securely in that area. Also, the gold coming out under the abdomen when viewed from the front is the underside of her chest piece. The underside could have been painted black for a neater effect.

This is also the kind of toy that is much easier to transform into robot mode than alt mode. Everything in robot mode tabs in securely and you have a real good idea of where parts are meant to be while in spider mode, it's much looser. So Actar made a video to help us get the best spider mode possible.

A good thing about this release is that after a week out, there haven't been breakage reports or major issues.

The chinese release of the figure comes with a pin, you can find an image of that below (you can only get it through Robotkingdom.com).

Below you will also find many in hand images of the toy in both modes. The one showing the scale compared to other Beast Wars MPs is impressive. The images come to us from D-Max as well as Sponge and Qabiri who posted them on the TFW2005 boards.

Thanks to fellow Seibertronian Chuckdawg1999, we have a video review of one of the final figures to be released in the Transformers Siege: War for Cybertron line, that of Spinister! Spinister was originally a Double Targetmaster, released in 1988, and this marks the first widely available figure he's had at the Deluxe scale since then. Unfortunately, his double Targetmaster partners, Singe and Hairsplitter Shrute, have been released separately. Singe is being released as a Wave 5 Battle Master, alongside Spinister, but reuniting the trio will cost a little extra- Shrute is only packaged alongside Skywarp, Fracas and Terror-Daxtyl in an Amazon exclusive set.

On to the review! Take it away, Chuck!

As one of the last deluxe class figures released for the Siege line, Spinister has a lot riding on its shoulders. While it's not the best deluxe class figure released it does have a lot of positive things going for it. While the transformation can be a bit fiddly at times it does feature some unique and interesting steps. I think Spinister deserves a place in your collection, especially if you're a fan of those late 80s double Targetmasters.

And while you're debating whether or not to pick up this figure, why not take a gander at Seibertron's own high-resolution galleries of Spinister, by clicking on the picture below?

Transformers News: Transformers Siege Spinister Video Review

Spinister (and Singe) have been trickling out at retail in the U.S. so check your local retailer to find this figure!
