Revoltech Optimus Prime Release Date and Price

Tformers.com has reported some new information on the upcoming G1 Optimus Prime Revoltech figure. This is also brings into question if Revoltech Prime can ever receive a US release.

Expect Revoltech G1 Convoy by Organic/Kaiyodo to be released in mid-January 2007, retailing at 1,900 Yen in retail stores in Japan. The height of the figure is approximately 10cm. Prototype images of Revoltech Convoy may be viewed in a previous news thread here. As noted in our our SDCC Revoltech Coverage interview with Organic rep Stephane, unlike the Revoltech characters that are currently being distributed in the US by Diamond, there may licensing issues with distributing this particular character due to Hasbro owning the Transformers brand in the US.

Hasbro has filed for a new trademark. They have filed for the name 'FAST ACTION BATTLERS'. The trademark is in one of the categories most of the Transformers applications appear in ("Toy action figures, toy vehicles and toy robots convertible into other visual toy forms"). The application serial number is 76666003. The application was submitted on September 14, 2206, however, it was not entered into the USPTO database until September 21, 2006.

According to TFormers.com the November 2006 issue of Dengeki Hobby has a special announcement. The magazine will be offering a limited number of mail-order exclusive Kiss figures repainted black . Other news in this issue is an interview with Yamazaki. Yamazaki explains the "Ultimate Rebellion" and the faithful reproduction of the F-15E Strike Eagle. He also provides information about the purpose Hot Rodimus' visor.

Update: It has now been revealed that the Dengeki Hobby exclusive Black Kiss Players repaint will be Atari-scream a repaint of the Atari figure due to be released with WST Autolooper.

Fantofan.jp has posted new pages of the KISS Players comic. This issue features cameo appearances by G1 Hot Rodimus and Convoy (Optimus Prime). Here's what they posted on their website:

New issue of Dengeki DAIOH comic magazine out today, continuing the "unsettling" story of Kiss Players, this issue is available for order now. US$7 for this month's issue. Check out some scans from this chapter as follows:

1, 2 : Taken prisoner, XiaoXiao awoke to find her comrades and herself to be eaten by Legions
3, 4 : Preventing Autorooper from completely absorbing the body of G1 Convoy (long story, buy the magazine to learn more), Melissa kissed and fused with Convoy, revealing herself to be a Kiss Player.
5: Back at the liar, Legion's attempt to consume XiaoXiao was interrupted by a mysterious character... to be continue next month.

Here we have another completed entry in the SEIBERTRON.com Galleries and it's the turn of the Blue Ramble from Galaxy Force, photographed by the News Administrator Alex Kingdom! This version of Ramble (aka Scrapmetal) hasn't been released in the US, only the red and yellow ones. You can view the gallery and the original red Scrapmetal gallery below:

Yellow Ramble is the third Ramble drone varient, however unlike Blue Ramble Yellow Scrapmetal has been released on the US market. The Autobot remould Coby Ramble was only available in Japan as part of the EX-02 Sonic Convoy Giftset, and depicts the ramble retrofitted by human star of the Galaxy Force series Coby as his own personal Transformers!

In addition to this Ryan has also uploaded a gallery of Transformers Cybertron, Legends of Cybertron Ramjet, a BotCon 2005 exclusive repaint of the popular Starscream mould.
