More Rumors on new Decepticon Alternator!

I've got reliable info that the new Decepticon Alternator (a remolded Autobot Tracks) will be called "Battle Ravage." This info comes from the license plate of the toy which reads "BTLRVG." Also, the body of the car has been remolded a bit. Instead of the hard top that Autobot Tracks was sporting, this new 'Vette is a smooth convertable.

The name may apply to the Takara version as well, it's not likely that Chevy wants a figure using their car to be called "Jaguar..."

Charle5 of the TFW2005 boards has sighted a most suprising Alternator prototype in a shop today. The figure is based on the tracks mold, painted black and red, has a big Decepticon logo on the chest, and has a remolded head that looks like a panther's! That's right, completely unexpected as it may be, the next Decepticon Alternator looks to be Ravage!

Napjr of the 2005 Boards has reported seeing Energon Slugslinger in Mexico. The figure was available in his original packaging, and not a Powerlinx Battles version.

Transformers: The Movie - In Widescreen?

Well, very nearly anyway! Starscream of TheTF.Net has located a near-widescreen print of Transformers: The Movie in Sunbow's archives, which is estimated to display 15-20% more of the animation than the previous Maverick/Rhino releases. It also seems likely that Metrodome will use this print as the basis for their planned 2005 release of the film!

Metrodome have updated the feedback section of their TransformersDVD.com website with a few snippets of interesting information, which includes:

Their upcoming release of G1 season 1 will be remastered, unlike the earlier Maverick release.

The rights to Beast Wars and Beast Machine are presently held by Universal, and Metrodome are currently chasing them for more information.
