In the voyager class size, we have a new Earth mode Megatron who is a retool of his Siege self with new parts to resemble an Earth tank. We also have a Quintesson toy that turns into a base/prison mode complete with a cage large enough to hold Micromasters. Finally, we have Snapdragon, who finally complete our G1 Headmasters set from The Rebirth.
The larger classes include Leader class Doubledealer, who has all 3 of his original modes plus new base-compatible pieces to join up with the growing number of base/city bots. His powermasters will be sold in the Selects line as the Soundwave Spy Patrol Part 3. We also have a glorious Commander class Sky Lynx, and the Titan class Scorponok with Lord Zarak himself.
You can also see the Generations Selects casette pack which do include Doubledealer's partners.
You can go to the entire gallery here or click on any image to be brought there. And you can click here to see all the different galleries we have for Toy Fair 2020.

The Quintesson's base bits look fun.
I'll take it on faith he does the. Honestly that makes me more excited if its that well hidden/integrated into the other modes
The preorder listing on Pulse has the dino mode.

As a huge fan of the Titan Master gimmick, confirmation of Titan Master compatibility puts Snapdragon on my list.

Agreed! I was super happy to see them revealed in the live stream. That will complete Doubledealer.
I consider Prime and Getaway sort of complete since they have headmasters named for their powermasters. Dreadwind and Darkwing aren't complete since they don't have their partners. and we still need Joyride and Slapdash

I'm fine with that, but as long that it's a Select available at TrU or Walmart, not some hard to obtain exclusive bull.

Frankly, I'm hoping for a proper Lightfoot/Getaway in part 3 of the trilogy alongside Joyride and Road King/Slapdash, and maybe a fresh go at Dreadwind (possibly as a CW Mirage reshell rather than an Aerialbot retool).D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Sentinel_Primal wrote:D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Sentinel_Primal wrote:Was anyone able to ask if Knok and Skar have any way to interact with Doubledealer outside of 5mm pegs? Sentinel_Primal wrote:After going through the gallery and obsessing studying the images of Doubledealer for research purposes, I noticed one of them had Doubledealer's robot mode with Decepticon badges! Does that mean that he'll have a rotating badge gimmick like Jetfire and Universe Dinobot?
Probably, but I don't think they're meant for use in this mode since it's his Autobot mode. In his bird mode the symbols would still be visible from beneath so it makes sense to be able to change them.
One thing that I don't think has been mentioned is that not only does the blue chest portion flip all the way down to over his legs for bird mode, but there's also a pivot point just below it so you can spin it around. I bet you can turn it around and snap it back in place to expose Skar or Knok in his chest (or under the bird) outright, basically making him a Breastmaster. Trying to figure out why he comes with the little gun. Nothing wrong with more weapons, but it's strange when the original didn't have it and they're usually so frugal.
The Allicon is neat, but when I look at it all I can see is this:
Also his descriptions says, "An obedient guard, this Quintesson Allicon converts into beast modes in 14 steps and comes with a spear accessory." Beast modes, plural. Probably a typo but he does have an extra forward tilt joint just above his feet that isn't used for either mode. Maybe he's hiding a third form?
Glad the Judge looks good because I have no intention of changing him into anything else.
I'm so tired of Micromaster cars. Howabout some more jets or something?

He has hinges and flap on top of the symbol. You just flip that hinge up for down to change allegiance

The images from the IGN article that revealed Skorponok, Fasttrack, Arcee and Sky Lynx referred to the "middleman" headmaster as Lord Zarak, and the smaller titan master as just "a smaller titan master". I have no idea how official that is.

In Japan, "Scorponok" was the name of the little guy while "MegaZarak" was the name of the big guy. Hasbro, on the other hand, uses "Scorponok" for the big guy and just "Zarak" (or "Lord Zarak") for the little guy.
But, in this Titan figure's case, there's now a third guy in the middle who is based on the animation model of the Japanese "Scorponok" while the little guy is based on the animation model of the American "Lord Zarak".
The little guy will obviously keep the "Zarak" name while the big guy gets the "Scorponok" name as per Hasbro's traditions, leaving the third guy in the middle currently a mystery.

Actually, I believe "Lord Zarak" is the name of the middle stage, leaving the Titan Master unnamed. Apeface's partner Spasma went unnamed on his packaging, I could see them do the same for Scorponok.

Yeah, there were obviously some dueling ideas and crossed wires behind the scenes of The Headmasters. It seems rather obvious that someone wanted to rename the big robot form to "Megazarak" to parallel how Fortress (Cerebros' Japanese counterpart) becomes Fortress Maximus, while someone else wanted to keep the Scorponok name. And through some comedy of errors, the large transtector got renamed to Megazarak while the Scorponok name was retained... but assigned to the non-scorpion guy who formed the head. One of many facepalm-worthy things about The Headmasters.Sabrblade wrote:That guy's name was "Scorponok".aronjlove wrote:The middle stage is whoever this dude is

I'm fine with just calling them both Zarak since both models ultimately derive from the 1987 Lord Zarak Headmaster Partner.Sabrblade wrote:But, in this Titan figure's case, there's now a third guy in the middle who is based on the animation model of the Japanese "Scorponok" while the little guy is based on the animation model of the American "Lord Zarak".

Indeed they are. Thrust and Ramjet are drawn based on the original 1985 toys (the rectangular-bottomed frameless cockpit canopies give it away), but that's presumably because the artist grabbed the first ref they could find.Sabrblade wrote:All three Coneheads are on his box art.LinaNui wrote:On the side on Sky lynx's box you can see artwork of Thrust. I never had any doubts they'd be happening. The Earthrise Seeker mold being essentially an upscaling of the Classics mold means that it's just as simple to slap on new wings and an altered noggin. Hopefully they'll have a panel to cover the face in jet mode.

To me, I think it makes sense to call the smallest figure Zarak or Lord Zarak. Especially if you're going by US canon, because it's not like Lord Zarak was a giant next to his fellow Nebulans.

It did as a toy. Takara named the Spike figure "Cerebros", the Cerebros figure "Fortress", and the big guy remained "Fortress Maximus".ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:I'll say this: In The Headmasters, Fortress' interim body (which would be Cerebros in the US) didn't have its own name.
The show just chose to ignore the Japanese toy's "Cerebros" name altogether by applying the middleman's "Fortress" name to both it and the little guy.
Posted by ZeldaTheSwordsman on February 23rd, 2020 @ 12:31am CST
Yes, but so was the head, at least in the show. In The Headmasters, since the conceit was that the larger robot bodies were just puppets for the guys who formed the heads (also seen in the US cartoon with Scorponok and Fort Max), they ignored the toy packaging and used the same name for both the body and the head robot.Rodimus Prime wrote:Wasn't that called Fortress?ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:I'll say this: In The Headmasters, Fortress' interim body (which would be Cerebros in the US) didn't have its own name.

Yeah I'm going with the Titan Master going unnamed, with the middleman being Lord Zarak. Looking forward to folks using the Titans Return Titan Master Scorponok on the Lord Zarak body though.

Earthrise Megatron does look better in person, thanks mostly to that silver paint job not obvious in the CG renders. Also, the feet look much improved in regards to functional ankle tilt (and hiding away in alt mode). I wish that huge turret piece broke up into more pieces, giving us a more normal sword, a gun barrel for behind the right shoulder, and maybe a shield of some sort? I think that would have done a lot to sell us on this double-dip and, in a way, homage the versatility of the silencer, stock, and scope accessories from the original G1 toy.
Arcee can indeed just wear her "hoverboard" on her back. It looks as bad as I had feared.
Smokescreen looks fantastic! I don't know why so many people are upset. This is a way bigger upgrade than Earthrise Megatron got from Siege Megatron. He looks G1 perfect now! Smokescreen's number is wrong, though (as is Wheeljack's), being "80" instead of "38." Is that a licensing thing? Also, in the show room shelf photos, you can see that Smokescreen's shoulder cannons are blue on the robot mode sample, but black (like the CG render) on the alt mode sample. Weird. Those same shoulder cannons also look sculpted to better match Bluestreak's cannons than Smokescreen's. The reverse was true in the Siege mold.
If you check out the pictures of the "updated" Earthrise display area, with the Wave 1 guys, you'll see they're still using an outdated Optimus Prime with gray hands and other paint anomalies as opposed to the retail version we actually now have. They couldn't have cracked a fresh final sample out of a box for the show?

Wouldn't take anything as set in stone but looks like:
March: netflix releases series 1
Deluxes: sideswipe, scrap face, chromia, hound, mirage
Voyagers with battle: megatron, hotlink
July/aug: earthrise wave 2
Deluxes: arcee, alicon, airwave, smokescreen
Voyagers: quint, snapdragon
Leader: double dealer
Commander: skylynx
Titan: scorponok
October: earthrise wave 3
Deluxes: fast track, runamuck
Voyager: megatron
Haven't checked micros or battles. Kind of weird not getting a megatron until wave 3 but prime can carve up a lot of alicons to pass the time (or just fight any of the other megatron).
Liking the the slither battlemaster looks based on the never produced headmaster head that headrobots made.

Seems very strange how late they are releasing some of the figures this time. Maybe ER is all messed up since they pulled up figures to make siege wave 5? Will ER stretch into 2021 to get it to have 4 waves, or will it just be done in 2020 after wave 3. So many question, but no answers
It actually makes complete sense.
for Siege in 2019, Wave 1 was released around November 2018, wave 2 started showing up in Spring 2020, then late summer for wave 3 and wave 4 was mid-fall.
Jump to this year, Siege wave 5 "essentially" serves as Earthrise wave 1 (holiday season 2019), so wave 2 AKA Earthrise wave 1 is starting to show up now and will be around a while. Wave 2 Earthrise will be summer/late summer, and wave 3 will be the fall, following the general release schedule. Earthrise wave 4 will then be the wave that starts showing up around the holidays.

It would be black friday if there is any discount. Sometimes there arent any. When you wait for a reduced price, you roll the dice. I rolled the dice on Greenlight and failed. Many rolled the dice on Siege Skywarp and ended up paying more.
