If you thought Generation One cartoon characters were being neglected in Generations, think again. While the line has been dominated so far by War For Cybertron toys, comic book characters and seeker repaints, we found out at BotCon/Cybertron Convention that we were getting more. Now thanks to alt.toy.transformers and the Allspark, we can add some more names to the list. Wreck-Gar is new, and it is possible that G1 Optimus Prime and G1 Bumblebee will get new deluxe figures too.

*ahem* sorry, I'm rather excited by the possibility of an updated Junkion.
Don't get me wrong, TFA Wreckgar is awesome, but he's not G1.

......
OHHH!!! i thought that optimus and bumble bee were refering to the legends class that optimus is getting (and thought maybe bee was getting one too)
......
and then it hit me like 4 tons of GLORIOUS SHINY BRICKS

And I'm fine with that, because he captures the look just fine.
However, if it's a new Wreck-Gar mold, I'll be impressed. Well, hopefully I'll be impressed.
Now, here's the question...which one will you buy? FansProject's or Hasbro's? Decisions, decisions.

As for Wreck-Gar can't wait to see him though I hope this doesn't stop FansProject from doing their own version.

I'm pretty sure that a majority of these guys will start to trickle out in November and December. But distribution will certainly take it's time.. I know like Generations Wave 2 and 3 aren't exactly populated in every retail chain.
You'll find stock photos of Tracks, Perceptor and Jazz in the 'Cybertron Convention' link in my first post.

Thanks for the heads-up! Hopefully these guys do see retail this year. As obvious as this is, I just can't wait for Jazz! Wreck-Gar is certainly a nice surprise. Prime and Bumblebee do have me curious.

No? Good...
Pumped for Wreck-gar. Looking forward to a good bike TF for once (excluding Prowl, he was awesome)

The way we've been getting Comic book figures left and right, I wouldn't doubt it.
Also what does it take to get you to post here these days? You know I can't always put 'Generations Downshift Revealed" in the news headline every day.
And you still have any of those Aveo Swerves left? I don't think you ever sent me one

Also, I called it as soon as I saw the gun on his roof in truck mode, Brawn repainted as Outback/Fallback (not that it's a hard guess).

I've even tried to convince the world that an MP Wreck-Gar should be made.
I'm really hoping this is an original mold and it's sorely needed for one of the most unique and interesting characters to come out of Transformers. Well for me anyhow.
I can't wait to see some pics of him soon. I sure as hell help he gets a new mold and not a repaint!!
I'll be choked!!
He's leader class and should be treated as such. Hell...he's the leader of a planet of transformers. If That doesn't merit a MP than i don't know what does.

Any chance Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are molds from the new Transformers Prime toon? That would seem to be a good idea, but I've not read anything about any toys for the new show.

Sky-Quake wrote:okay I'm happy were getting wreck-gar finally but when is Hasbro going to make the WFC seekers I mean come on how long am I going to have to wait
I remember reading in a different thread someone mentioning that Hasbro is thinking about releasing the Starscream mold. I don't have a link or any other evidence as this was something I came across last night. Either way, an obvious Thundercraker and Skywarp come into play if this turns out to be true. While on the subject, I'd much rather see Slipstream and Arcee be made into toys and released in the same wave together. But that's just me.

It's funny, I have an idea for something I think no-one does and immediately it happens...
Wreck-gar sounds cool though.

Prime and BB were already done in Classics, hence my concern they could be just rereleases. Similarly they did a Voyager Prime as part of Classics

I like the Special Ops Jazz naming as that seems to be a reference to the IDW version of the character's role in the Autobot ranks.

I hope the other figures on that computer get released before Spring 2011 because that is going to be way too late. Get them out by Christmas time please Hasbro!!
Has everyone seen the image of Tracks alt mode in the other thread on this forum? It looks bad ass

I second that!
Only I'll be saying "COUGH, COUGH......THUNDERCRACKER....COUGH.....IN G1 BLUE....COUGH....COUGH....NOT BORING DARK METALLIC BLUE LIKE TAKARA TOMY'S.........COUGH."
I'll buy Hasbro's and sell TT's if they paint him in the bright blue I remember from the movie/G1 series. I'd buy the Masterpiece too if he was in those colours. I was so disappointed when I got my TT one and he was such a boring colour. Skywarp was way better out of those 2.

Just hope that for once Hasbro's paint job is better than Takara Tomy's!

Oh wait, yes there is: These sound really REALLY interesting! Do we have any idea what Perceptor's alt mode will be? Actual tiny microscope? Or that microscope/pick-up truck we saw drawings of a while back?
Is Turbo Track supposed to be Tracks? I want a straight-up US military repaint (sorry rest of Earth, I gotta be me) for Fallback- what a great name, Fallback, your go-to Autobot when it hits the fan.
EDIT- I'm a dope- clicked the link and answered my own questions.

On Kapow Toys Youtube review for Gen. Thrust, the reviewer did say that Thundercracker is supposed to be released eventually in the Gen. line. There's no reason not to since every other seeker has been released by Hasbro, & Thcrkr. is part of the original three. I'm hoping for a Sunstorm too at somepoint, but I won't hold my breath. Glad that BB's getting released, missed out on the Classics version & don't feel like paying 40+ bucks for him on-line.

Well, for me a re-release wouldn't be a problem. I missed out on the entire Classics Line and a great deal of Universe. So a re-release of BB would be great for me, although I prefer the Voyager Prime to the Deluxe from the Two-Pack. I can see how a potential re-release would be troublesome to those who already have their Classics versions, though.

kirbenvost wrote:Oh yes. This is good news. But I am concerned about the eventual Fansproject release...
As am I. FP has sated in the past that they try to avoid stepping on Hasbro's toes, and producing something similar to a current Hasbro release. Hearing about this Wreck-Gar might lead to shelving the "Collector" figures indefinitely, or even canceling the project entirely (depending on how much R&D has already gone into those figs).
Of course, if they DO produce their figs, too, that means we would have that many MORE Junkions to work with (G1 WG, Detritus, Animated WG, 2011 WG, FP Collectors). I'm still hoping for a "Scrapyard Warriors" box set of movie-verse mercenaries, homaging the Junkions. Lockdown/Axor and Brimstone come to mind as good fits... maybe Brawn, too.

More on topic, I'm very excited for the Wreck-Gar mold. I passed on the TFA version due to budget constraints, but 'd love to own a G1 deluxe version.

I do hope Fansproject still decides to go ahead with Collector. Hasbro's Wreckgar looks good, but Collector was quite impressive.
Posted by Autobot032 on September 21st, 2010 @ 2:19pm CDT
I'm impressed. Very much so.
Part of me wants to wait and see what FansProject's Collector looks like, but after being reminded about the whole "we don't want to step on toes" thing, it makes me think this is the only Wreck-Gar we'll be getting.
Kinda sad if so, because I love FP's stuff, however...Hasbro's Wreck-Gar looks fantastic. I have no complaints, really.
I'll gladly buy Hasbro's.
So, we're getting Wreck-Gar, Kup, and Jazz. Hells yes.

Nope, seeing as Takara's Transformers United had two different listings for Bumblebee, Optimus and Megatron. Plus it would say Cybertronian in the beginning.
