US Patent and Trademark Office, we have some speculation fuel in the form of a new trademark for Elita-1 - an old character in Transformers fiction, way back from G1, but also newly reintroduced to the IDW comics universe as an ambiguous character, and with Power of the Primes on its way in 2017, there may be even more to talk about. The character has been very little utilized in this 30 years of the franchise.Excited to see what they are pretending.

Interesting that they'd trademark that version/spelling of the name. Her G1 incarnation (and currently in IDW comics) is spelled Elita One, and that seems to be the most common spelling of her name, though her Botcon and ROTF toys were spelled like the trademark.

It'd be great to get a toy for her. Not just because she's the first main female character in the franchise, not just because she's a lot more interesting than Arcee, not just because she's a leader-type character and more of those are great...
But so we can FINALLY see what the back of her vehicle mode looks like!

Finally! An Elita-1 toy! Hallelujah!
...Oh wait. They'll probably just redeco Blurr and give it a new Headmaster.

Who says it's for Generations? The exact category wasn't specified, was it?

Now SHE should have been on the January next Prime pole, not Arcee. But if she was on there she'd win and then these poles would be 3 for 3 on fembot winners. Got to mix it up a little.

Hasbro has reapplied for the following trademarks:
Revenge of the FallenDinobotStealthforceThese all have the following description:
Toy action figures, toy vehicles and toy robots convertible into other visual toy forms
While this could mean all sorts of things, it could also simply be renewals to keep a potential name. Please remember that the
Elita 1 trademark never resulted into anything, and the same thing goes for many other trademarks like Armourhide, Vector Prime and Towline that was newsed over the years.
