Worst deco I've seen in a main-line figure since Universe's Tankor (the first Universe series for all the new-Jacks around here).

I agree. It looks like an unfinished prototype.

You mean the green and yellow one included with Obsidian? I actually like that one, but this toy could use some paint. Very cheap looking.

Maybe that was what Hasbro was aiming for.

The two shades of blue, grey, and yellow of Rollbar make a better looking scheme than the off white, two greys, and orange of Wideload.
It's odd that Wideload seems to have the same blue head colour as Rollbar except the faceplate is white instead of silver and the headcrest and chin are orange instead of yellow. A matching dark grey could have been used for the helmet to keep things more consistent.
I like the figure, though. I think it'll look great next to Rollbar, who I have posed with his fists on his hips. The shell kibble makes him look like a caped robot super hero.

Yea him. He's ok until someone sets him next to an open box of Crayola crayons and you can no longer distinguish which one is which.

Convotron wrote:I think the choice of colours for Wideload is the main problem. Look at Rollbar and you'll see the same arrangement of different colours. It's just that the off white and grey don't make for the best pairing because there isn't a wide amount of contrast.

Wideload is gonna need a sidekick then.

But he does have a certain charm for being so weird. FedEx and UPS totally need to have licensed versions of this guy.

Imagine Fedex and UPS having these as exclusives that you can only order at their offices.

It'd be like Chevy Swerve all over again. But it would still be awesome.

Knowing UPS, they'll ship them but at the full cost rather than taking a cut as they are shipping them themselves, and whoa to anyone outside the states as UPS will use their own customs services and charge a crapload.
The sad part of all of that is I would actually be interested if a shipping company asked Hasbro to make those, especally as a UPS or DHL one might end up looking pretty spiffy.

I was thinking of picking up an extra Rollbar to repaint in the colour scheme of Superman, hehe. One could pair up and repaint Rollbar and Wideload like Hawk and Dove or something.

And Night Blades Sideswipe is slightly pathetic.

It's a lamb made out of butter. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw Wideload in package. He looks like a block of sculpted butter.

Everything's better with butter.
Including Wideload.
I totally need to get a BWII Gimlet and pose them together.

Yes. It's an Easter tradition for some ethnic groups, particular those with Polish ancestry.

Also, I apologize to everyone for totally derailing this topic!

Most posters in the thread: "Wideload is ugly!"
Me: "I like Wideload!"
There, back on topic.

I see, guess we learn something new everyday.
Back on topic: I like to think Wideload as dropping into a pool of butter.
