The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).
There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.

Why would that be strange? A lot of us kids of the 80s watched movies that were totally not meant for kids like Aliens, Terminator, RoboCop and such. Hell, they even had toy lines for some of them back then.
I kinda love ock stimus prime!

Odder than grown men playing with toys? Lol
Seriously though who cares. The movies are fun, I grew up watching late 80s early 90s horror movies. They're action films, not porn, it's not that odd. My sister was 6 when the first one came out and its her favorite movie she's grown up on them.

One of the things I liked about AoE is that is cut back the gutter humor somewhat, if this 5th film continues that trend I'm all for it honestly.
I just hope SJW don't go all PC and say the way the last girl spoke and was dubbed over is insensitive, or promotes stereotypes etc...

Totally agree. I don't mind the movies, I appreciate them for what they are and what they do and they grow the brand but I do wish they were aimed more toward a younger audience. I want a transformers movie that I could introduce to my kids like how I was introduced. This move feels like they are trying to go that way a little and I like it
Only thing that ever really bothered me was in DOTM when people were getting vaporized and turned into skeletons. That kinda messed me up. I don't wanna see the franchise that has been with me all my life showing that stuff.

Well if the imax footage and AOE are anything to go by the movies "humor" is toned down a bit compared to the first three movies.
Plus my generation and newer generations of kids swear every single day for no good reason and act pretty questionably they swear so much so that I've been starting to swear sometimes when I did not previously I mean it's kinda something when I only started to swear at 16 years old and that was only a few years ago.
Anyways the Bay humor is a bit less worse then say the unrestricted access kids have to Facebook, Twitter, Youtube (Jesus the comments), among other websites parents don't restrict I'm sure most of us can see that the world's sense of respect and manners is disappearing thanks to media and the rude people around them.
Sorry if this is off topic mods I'll edit the comment if it is.

This film is already stuffed enough as it is with the Autobots which would make cosmos if he would be anything like his G1 version a bit meaningless.
Optimus, Bee, Crosshairs, Drift, Hound, Wheelie, Grimlock, Slug and maybe Strafe and Scorn return in this movie heck maybe Brains returns too since he was shown alive and well in AOE and is Wheelie's buddy.
And then for new Autobots we got Squeeks, Hot Rod, Cogman, whoever the red Mclaren is who might or might not be Dino, Canopy, 3 Mini Dinobots, The mark IV tank "Bulldog".
Then we got all those knights including what appears to be two factions with Steelbane, Skullitron and all those other guys on one side, The Inerfnocons that seem to be evil on Quintessa's side and Dragonstorm who I don't know where he belongs but is clearly important.
The Decepticons also have Megatron and Barricade returning with new guys Onslaught who might or might not be the Garbage truck con from DOTM as a returning character with a name, Hooligan, Mohawk, Nitro and maybe Berserker too if he is in the film.
Oh and all of those vehicles who might or might not be transformers as well including: The Mercedes dump truck, a Submarine (Somebody said it actually is a transformer), A silver LeEco LeSEE Pro Concept car and the Decepticon prison and the junkyard of dead robots in which not all of them are dead which is most likely where Barricade comes from.
This is the LeEco car from on set.
TLDR: there are a lot of Transformers in this film with one of the film makers stating this movie is going to have the most Transformers yet.
Posted by Deadput on April 14th, 2017 @ 6:59pm CDT
Their both based on the Long Haul body type and they bot have the same colors of green and white and turn into vehicles of similar mass although the Tow truck is long, the garbage truck has bulk or whatever you want to call it, also we never saw the Garbage con die and AOE does state there are still cons roaming about on Earth.
If nothing is stated in the movie either way I'm rolling with this as my headcanon.

Slightly off-topic, but if Cosmos getting a lot more attention is what you're after; IDW's ex-RiD/Transformers/OP has you covered. Turned him into one of my favourite characters

This past week Michael Bay has been working with John Turturro on the latest film. Transformers: The Last Knight is most likely on the post-production stage at this time. Meaning that there could be some scenes that need to be filmed again and others that might need to be altered for the final piece.
Hmmmmmmm
John Turturro was not " in all four", since he was not in AOE.........just saying getting your facts right can't be that hard can it?

Just looks to me like the same honeycombed broken planet that we've seen in all the trailers, which is quite possibly Cybertron itself given the full contents of this trailer and the notion of the upcoming Cybertron playset being made in the TLK toyline.Silverwing wrote:You know the monster planet in the picture Hopkins is holding? You know, I dont get the whole honeycomb thing. I was watching the 2007 Transformers film (which is not bad at all) and when we first see Prime he shows us what Cybertron looked like, which is quite different.
Also, I realize now that there better be some serious explaining in this film if Megatron turns out to have been on earth for any other reason than to find the Allspark.

Well, I know Deadput will come and crucify me for saying this but the DOTM comics John Barber wrote a few years ago offered a very workable explanation for how Megatron's pursuit of the AllSpark, his servitude of The Fallen, and his deal made with Sentinel Prime all ended up coming to a head on Earth:william-james88 wrote:Also, I realize now that there better be some serious explaining in this film if Megatron turns out to have been on earth for any other reason than to find the Allspark.
- First, The Fallen left Cybertron aboard the Nemesis (captained by Soundwave) to go looking for the Star Harvester, which he had previously built on another planet (Earth) eons ago.
- Then the Autobot/Decepticon war commenced, during which time Megatron and Sentinel made their deal, which they decided to carry out on the planet that The Fallen had built his Harvester on.
- Then Sentinel left Cybertron aboard the Ark, but which was presumed lost. It would crash on Earth's moon in the future (the 1960s).
- Then Optimus launched the AllSpark into space and Megatron chased after it. The AllSpark ends up on Earth NOT by coincidence: Turns out the AllSpark was drawn to that planet by the Harvester.
- Megatron arrives on Earth and gets frozen in the Arctic, unaware at the time that this planet is the very same planet that the Harvester is on, the very same planet that both The Fallen went looking for and Sentinel made his deal with Megatron over.
Of course, the new films could ignore all this continuity-mending that the comics did and come up with their own explanation, or even just skirt around all explanations entirely. We'll just have to wait and see.

I think it could of just been a city and the angles or that parts of Cybertron that we did not see in DOTM since we did not actually see the whole planet nor do I think the whole thing is destroyed maybe.
Or just different people made up a new look for Cybertron and forgot about the brief movie 1 flashback

Thanks Sabr my good pal
I don't mean to be all "your wrong!" it's just I don't think people should use the comics as an excuse since they are stated to be non canon by the highest source of canon it's just like with some Star Wars comics which even back in the EU Lucas did not consider most of the EU to be "true" canon
I personally see the films and the words of the film staff as true canon and then the Idw comics as "b" canon with Titan comics as "c" canon I do enjoy the comics a lot and Reign of Starscream is my second fave Transformers media ever and I wished it even if it alone was canon but unfortunately it probably is not especially with the sort of change Starscream goes through with his bad arse-ness to his well less bad arse role in ROTF and DORM.
Look I'm sorry alright? I'm just an aggressive and blunt person I'm not good with online chats I'm much better in person when I can use different tones such as sarcasm instead of letting people assume what I mean.

It's Megatron I saw a bigger pic of the cans.
At first I thought it was Dino because of the red mclaren from filming that's confirmed to be a robot but then I thought it was Drift because he is also red despite turning into a mostly black car.

We also have for you, a larger image from Entertainment Weekly's article. So you can get a better look at this big guy supposedly trying to befriend Laura Haddock's character. We don't think it's working very well, sorry Roddy!
In the above mentioned article a passage explains more about Hot Rot and his relationships with other characters. It also tells us that his vehicular mode is a 1963 Citroën DS.
Alongside Mark Wahlberg’s salt-of-the-earth mechanic, Anthony Hopkins is joining the cast as Sir Edmund Burton, an astronomer who — with the help of Hot Rod — has tracked these long-forgotten connections to another scholar, Oxford professor of English literature Viviane Wembly (Laura Haddock, who played Star-Lord’s mother in Guardians of the Galaxy).
She has no idea she harbors a genetic secret that could destroy (or save) the world. “[The humans] are empowered in a way that is very different than we’ve experienced before and honestly, it’s not easy figuring out how to empower the six foot human versus the 35- or 45-foot robot,” says producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura.
In the image here, Wembly comes face to face with the longtime friend she didn’t even know she had — the Autobot covert agent Hot Rod. She’s freaked out — and not planning to go quietly.
Hot Rod has secretly been serving as her protector in the guise of her father’s 1963 Citroën DS.
“It’s a rickety old thing, but she can’t part with it because she adores it,” Haddock says of the vintage vehicle. “This car has actually been put there to watch her and feedback information to Anthony Hopkins’s character about what she’s up to and her life. So yeah, she gets kind of taken [by surprise] in a really funny, dramatic way by this Hot Rod.”
The revelation also reshapes how she viewed her dad. “She’s not had a very good relationship with her father, but this is one thing that her father has done that makes her realize that maybe he cared than she thought.”
