WANT!!!!
Posted by Dead Metal on March 7th, 2012 @ 3:22am CST
I think I'll get a few of these depending on price of course. Should be fun building these.
But, "website currently under construction" is not exactly the kind of message you want displayed on launch day....

Looking forward to they have in store for us. Just to be sure though, this might be a dumb question but, Seibertron's gonna keep up with all the Mecha Workshop news right? and it's not just for the launch? I'd definitely like them to, but I'm just checking to see if I should like, expect more articles on them here or if I should check elsewhere.

No amount of modding will bake a decent Warpath out of a centaur.
They look similar in style due to Don having been working on these for almost two years, basically the TF stuff he's done is just prototype stuff for this.
Nooooo, I should have made my post a little clearer!
I only drew an obvious comparison to Generations Warpath and the that rendering of Don's, one might say he actually borrowed from Hasbro on that one?
But yeah, you can clearly see Don's way of thinking with those Mech's and his TF work.
If i could lay my hands on a pic of Don's transformers covers, especially the ones of Hotrod I'd post it for a side by side viewing?

It has been soooo hard for me to keep my mouth shut about this project, as I've been "in" on it for almost a year now.
If you like what you see here, you haven't seen anything yet

Learn from this, Hasbro.

Well, I'm in. Please take my money, I don't want it.
Seriously, how produced are we talking? Stores? Online Retailer? Internal shop? I can already tell they're crazy articulated and have tiny parts. Something mass-market usually eschews.
Pricing would be nice too.
Also, will we be getting to follow this here or have to find a separate site?
3rd party transforming toys are one thing but this is an entirely separate franchise with only a tangential connection.

Not every Real Robot's a Gundam, a Valkyrie or an Arm Slave.

There'll probably be more, what with the fourth movie coming.

Like most mecha, I'll oggle them, but I'll not be getting them due to space/price reasons.

Just three things...
1. Will these be manufactured here in the U.S.?
2. Will there be a website for a new fandom to congregate?
3. Will the toys be available through popular etailers like BBTS?

Hasbro constantly borrows alt-mode designs and concepts, and bot-mode design elements so why shouldn't Don?
And ther eare just so many ways one can designs an H-tank, which wasn't invented by Hasbro.

Maybe not but there is no mistaking the influence of the Macross Alpha and Beta Fighters styling or that of the Armored Cyclone design.
I'm happy to see that someone else noticed the similarities because they practically jumped out at me as soon as I started scrolling through the pictures.

Well, yeah... but that's a duh. You're already famous, like Enrico Galli and Thomas Mauer. Folks here "should" recognize you in the same way they recognize Don's name.

Seeing as how these look pretty high quality and are apparently aimed at collectors, I'm guessing they will be quite expensive. I'm also guessing you will only be able to find them online and possibly at comic book/hobby shops if your local one does that kind of thing. They will probably come in alternate scales as well, I cannot imagine them all being so enormous.Grimlock64 wrote:Now I just need to figure out two things: how much these figures will cost, and where they will be available (online shops only? Or would it be possible to see something like this in a Wal-Mart?XD ). I hope these won't cost me an arm and a leg, because I want this SO badly now!

hmm hopefully these figures will be cheaper than those guys you mentioned:lol:Forgotten wrote:Gundam, Macross & Full Metal Panic would like to have a word with you about the designs, i'm sure.

The story seems pretty cool and the entry point gives a lot of room for back story development. 6 pages wasn't enough

Indeed, usually hands like these are a premium and typically you have to put these together yourself. Still, I hope that the guns will peg into the hands instead of relying on the grip of the small joints, as my limited experience with hands like these has not been entirely pleasant.IgnikaMarcus wrote:Finally some mecha that are actually awesome!!! And those hands, oh those hands. Japanese mecha got nothing on these.
