A question that's been asked multiple times in this thread (yeah yeah, I know, you don't have time to go back and read all posts so unbunch your panties) and the simple answer is ... we most likely won't know until the movie is released.

In addition to getting a sneak peak at some of the massive sets and getting to meet Michael Bay himself, we got some personal time with some of the real stars of the movie ... the Transformers themselves! Each gallery below includes multiple shots of each vehicle that we got to see from the heroic Autobots Bumblebee, Drift, and Optimus Prime to the evil Decepticons Onslaught and Barricade! Click on an image below to view a gallery of that respective character's alt mode. Please note that each vehicle has its own unique gallery in our ongoing Transformers Movie related gallery section.
In case you missed it earlier this week, we also posted some walkaround videos of the vehicles on our YouTube channel, which you can view by clicking here.
Special thanks again and much appreciation to Paramount for orchestrating our set visit. What an amazing experience!
Bumblebee (6th generation Chevrolet Camaro mode) ... plus Hound makes a cameo appearance!
Barricade (Ford Mustang Police Car mode)
Drift (Mercedes-AMG GT R mode)
Optimus Prime (Western Star 5700 XE mode)
Onslaught (Western Star 4900SF Tow Truck mode)
Miscellaneous images (other vehicles and more)
If it wasn't already for the fact that the Combaticons in this don't appear to be combat vehicles....i would've half expected that Hummer to be Swindle, maybe one of the Apache Helicopters spotted to be Vortex ect, as for Onslaught....maybe he will during the course of the movie....scan a military vehicle of some sorts(we've already SEEN different vehicles ect scanned during the course of the previous films by various characters....Optimus, Bee, The Twins, Megatron, Soundwave & Lazerbeak).

You unknowingly added a layer to this character that makes me question exactly where he was during ROTF. Now I know. He was getting into internet culture.
I hate it.
Pretty soon Barricade's going to be telling me to go vegan on Facebook.

Wait.
-He went missing around 2007-2009
-He's a Decepticon fanatic
-He laughs maniacally
Barricade was Sly all along

Really man?
The changes on Bee are always easy to spot why is everyone saying stuff like this I don't get it like what the heck.
Maybe because he really doesn't look that different from his "original" design? Jeez o peets dude, back off a little.
Bee from 07; note how similar Bee is once again to how he started in 2007.

Onslaught looks good too, just doubt Bruticus will come out of his addition.

I think it was one shot deal and he took the name of Megatron back after he got his upgrades/new body. I know it's very interchangeable in the Unicron Trilogy from what I've heard and read, so maybe the same applies here in some ways for the Bayverse.
Like Burn said, we won't know until the movie, but that's kind of like my prediction of sorts. Saw someone suggest Megs would have apprehension to the Galvatron name in this case because it was the one granted to him by humans/KSI during his rebuild and not his idea. Simultaneously there appears to be not as much discontinuity between the names/personality in this canon like in G1 for example.

(Was it ever confirmed that Barricade died in DotM? Could it have been some random generic Decepticon?)

In the recent pics that were taken on the set the saying on his car mode is "Keep calm and hail Megatron".
But I noticed in all those pics and videos that were posted while they were filming in Arizona, it said his old saying "To Punish and Enslave". Was it changed and is there a reason why? I hope it has to do with the story and not anything to do with "recent events" in the news. Does anyone else have any insights, and opinions on this?

Because even Transformers love memes.

I think he might be onto something. The old motto doesn't read too well, considering the recent events involving police shootings in the U.S., justified or not. They probably changed it to avoid a PR fiasco.Raintime Rainmaker wrote:Because even Transformers love memes.Michael Alex Kawa wrote:I have a question about Barricade .

That... that does make a lot of sense actually. If that is the reason they changed it then kudos.

If I recall correctly, whatever events happen in the UK in the movie is what impacts this.

The Movie Franchise is perhaps never going to fly long term anyway with Hasbro except as a purely cyclical thing - because as soon as they stop making Movies - Hasbro is going to likely stop making Movie toys for good (bar the odd anniversary or premium item).. as it makes no sense to sell things that they then have to give money to Paramount for making as part of the licensing deal - not to mention there is the car licenses too.
This may even be the reason why they don't make a Movie Universe Cartoon - it would cost them more to do so as they be tripping over Paramount's share of the profits and their likeness rights too - as well as the afore mentioned car likeness rights as well.
I'm sure there is a way to make nice Movie toys - but lets be honest here even if they try really hard - they are still going to be be a gappy under painted disappointment next to ROTF toys.
Or to put it another way I now look back on DOTM as a "Quality line" - that is how bad it's got now.

Have you played with EMOP? The quality and engineering is as good as ever.

Be little more specific you talking transformers animated, prime, energon, cybertron, generation one, beast wars, beast machines, robots in disguise, headmasters, victory force,
It looks like live action of generation one all we need is starscream to return for deception ride on top of him in jet mode and joust against autobot hound in truck reiactment of generation one cartoon episode,.
Glad bay doesn't make humans going on cybertron without space suits shown in generation one that be ridiculous

I'll go with besmirching the good names of Beast Wars, Animated, and...wow, Hasbro has really helped put out a lot of crap for media. Even BW and Animated have their lowlights. Best to just stick with the Hasbro philosophy: toys moneys matter; quality shows, movies, books, games, etc. not so much.

I'm not even sure, from a movie stand point, if Transformers is even "TRANSFORMERS" anymore. I've completely lost the theme. I mean, in the movie verse, has it really been established why Autobots and Decpticons are actually fighting in the first place, and why they seem to continue to do so with the death of one of the army's leader, multiple times now? I mean, what are their motives anymore?
Posted by Sabrblade on August 23rd, 2016 @ 9:25pm CDT
Yeah, it's almost as nonsensical as the primitive human hunter from ROTF, or the 1969 human astronauts from DOTM. Humans should totally stay out of flashbacks and backstory scenes that take place in the Earth's past!Ebonyleopard wrote:A human knight? What the hell is going on with this movie?
