For a short period of time, iGear's Facebook Page has a picture of their Shark Sentry prototype. It seems to have been removed at the moment, but some of us news crew were fast enough to take a copy to share.

Image

If this is anything like the Shark Sentries that were seen a couple of years ago, their size would be about scout-class to dexluxe-class, however plans may have changed since then. Keep an eye on SEIBERTRON.com as we learn more about this figure.

That's looking pretty sharp. I'm glad they abandoned the old rescaled knock off and actually made a new design for them.

:BOT: Now this is awesome, I was wondering when I was gonna see some pics of this guy.. I was lucky enough to get one of the few prototype shark clones from DR WU before they canceled production. So I'm really happy that I-Gear picked up the slack.
And this guy looks like he'd be great getting chased by MasterPiece Grimlock!
Now if we could just get a release date.. :CON:

I'd be happy with a preorder. They've done a lot of announcing lately. Or are they waiting for their Weapons/Medical specialists to come out first.

Looks great. I want 3 to replace my Botcon sharkticons. But the tail looks like a christmas tree. Hopefully a 3rd party company can make a nice mace weapon for him.

GIMME!!!!!

The Botcon versions just aren't G1 enough for my tastes; these are EXACTLY what I want! I kind of like the idea that the entire Neo-G1 Quintesson court is made up of 3rd party products; it gives it a real theme in my eyes. Plus, my main focus in collection is getting Neo G1 versions of the movie cast .... so get these out quickly!

This is neat. I'm assuming these guys know to produce these in high numbers because you just know people are going to want to build troop armies. Can you imagine how cool it would have been to see this on the store shelves back in '86 when we were kids as opposed to what we got back then.

He's not fat! He was supposed to be a big fat giant robot!

When my sister first saw Sharkticons, she said they looked like me. She's right, fatties with big noses. Look like me alright, now it doesn't!

damnit.

That aside, these are looking really good. I wonder how big these things are going to be, if they'll come in groups or singals, and how much they will cost in either case.

Now this is impressive! Looks much better than the G1...although not really updated enough for Neo G1. Still, I'm somewhat interested. If they come out deluxe sized for under $50 I might bite.

Rated X wrote:Looks great. I want 3 to replace my Botcon sharkticons.

When that happens would you sell me one of your Botcon Sharkticons? I really wanted one but my Botcon hookup at the time fell through and I haven't been able to find one for a decent price since.

You do realize, ALL 3rd Party toys, are KO's, right?
If its not made by hasbro or takara, its a ko.

No, KO = Knock Off, synonym for bootleg.
As in a (mostly inferior and cheap) copy or imitation of an existing product.

3rd Party (actually wrong usage of that term) or custom toy/product is an original designed product that is not a direct copy of an existing product.

Therefore not the same thing.

No, we don't have too, because I just told him the truth and settled it.
It's over.

That said, I do hope the weapon gets changed slightly at least colour wise. Them being sold in sets of two would be neat too.
Anyone have an idea what size it is? Kinda looks deluxe to me. I hope they don'T spam it full of unnecessary weapons to inflate the price though.

Before you go ANY further to hang yourself read the board rules

general-rules-for-seibertron-com-s-forums-t14626.php

And look over these as well
information-about-trolling-flaming-and-not-respecting-the-opinions-of-others-t16227.php

First, this is a PUBLIC forum board which means that you post something and it is FAIR GAME for everyone.

Second, If you don't agree with someone then PM mod or myself and we will ask them to stop and respect whomever it is they are offending.

Third, You were warned because of your attitude and the way you handled it. When you are warned you do not message a moderator like you did.

I will give you time to reply before I take any action.

Damn, these boards have gotten agro recently... people need to smoke more :SERVO:

I don't really like the blue plastic, as it makes it look obviously plastic. It would awesome if it was shiney chrome, as I think that would even help the xmas tree mace tail.

I do agree with buddy, whoever said, that it would have been nicer if it were fatter... But that alt mode is just AWESOME. I just realized that Sharkticons sort of look like huge Scraplets. Maybe the Quintessons made those too.

If they keep the prices low on this, I might break my rule about not buying Igear.

When that happens would you sell me one of your Botcon Sharkticons? I really wanted one but my Botcon hookup at the time fell through and I haven't been able to find one for a decent price since.

Im gonna keep them so Skybyte will get his army back. But I got a friend who has a set and might let them go if he gets the I-Gear versions. Thats not a promise, but he might. Honestly the Botcon versions will probally be all over e-bay at bargin prices when these guys come out.

This bot alt mode is good how ever this bots robot mode is not good imho. It looks to much like Animated Grimlock with sharkticon parts on him. It does not capture anything of the original Sharkticon robot mode that was in the 1986 movie the series or toy. Alt mode is good but this bot just does not feel right in robot mode and if the robot mode does not feel right then the toy in total does not feel right.

I don't know man......it's pretty sweet but there seems to be something not making me gaga for it.
Maybe it's the legs in bot mode or the preportions in shark mode that need touching up :-?

I'm not quite sure. Really cool nevertheless though.

Hope we don't have to wait for 2 years for it or anything.

Personally I have seen IGear rip on to many designs that are out there that they did not create themselves. Here they have captured the alt mode to be more like a piranha and not like a shark while the robot mode still looks like grimlock animated. I won't be buying it because well the sharkticons they have tried to mix two different styles together and it didn't pay out for them and it's sorry to say but I think it's (and please admin or mods do not punish me for saying this word its just my honest opinion)crap. The tail the bot mode it's not good enough but what can you expect from a company that has never really created anything that was based of their own original designs.

I always thought Gnaw was more of a piranha to begin with, hence why there was so many of them as a swarm. They just screwed the name. (They probably had the name assigned for the Seacons already)

As for the comparison to Animated Grimlock ... nah, not seeing it. I think the robot mode has been well executed, big upper body, smaller torso and legs, just like his G1 incarnation.
