Rollbar will be available for purchase in Japan in November of this year, exclusive to Toys "R" Us. Here in the states, we'll receive Rollbar as part of a figure multipack based off of the Cemetary Wind farm attack sequence in Age Of Extinction. That set will feature "Rusty" Optimus as well. (You can read up on the Rusty Optimus here)

Yes, please. Also, it's a matter of cleanliness. Do you have any idea how many duplicate threads and posts we have to deal with? How much space/data they eat up on the server? It's not the worst thing ever, of course, but it's certainly not efficient and makes it harder on the staff.
We merge threads so everything is as tidy as possible. It's not to make things harder for the users, quite the opposite, in fact. We are always open to suggestions, so please post them and we'll do our best to figure out a system that works for everyone.

Im confident ill find slog in Walmart by the end of August.
On a separate note, I would love to see "thread merging" abolished. Its so freaking annoying to see conversations about 10 different topics mixed together just because they are loosly related to Michael Bay.
Been saying that for the past several years. I can understand it for conventiony things, where there's a lot of news coming out of one thing, (and even then, it's extremely annoying) but when it's news topics days and weeks apart, no.
The thing that kills it for me isn't the forums neccesarily, it's the way the news page processes. 9 times out of 10, I'm commenting on a news article with the "click here to join the discussion", I'm not already in the forums themselves. So when the news article itself has three seperate news posts for other things, such as AOE FE Knight Prime's post in the article for Sludge, it's more than a little jarring...

Something like that is in the plans, yes, but further details like deco and availability are still pending.

You are right about Slash. Besides the toy, he has no comic/cartoon/movie char anywhere. Just who is this crappy huge velociraptor mold?

According to the silhouette, it will have Grimlock, Slug, Scorn, SwoopStrafe and Slog, all the Dinos that appeared in the movie plus Slog. I don't think it will be G1-themed set.

So then this would be an independent set from what was hinted at from Hasbro:
G1 Dinobots set with Strafe, Grimlock, Slug, and Snarl (where's Sludge/Slog? Hasbro said they are working on it for a separate release)

I know but this is not what I meant. There being Slog in this set of 5, I first thought that this would be where we see Slog in the new deco they said they were working on. But that cant be the case because this set of 5 is missing Snarl who already has the right deco. In the end, this is a weird set and I have no clue what the decos would be. So far, every platinum set has had different decos so then if this is not using G1 decos, and not using the already existing decos, then I have no clue what it is or its purpose.

To be technical neither was Batman with Michael Keaton, nor Jurassic Park at the standards then (obviously not now, then again look at TV now compare to today, shoot radio even); look at the merchandise those two movies put out. I was in 2nd grade when Jurassic Park came out, dads way to see if I were ready for the mayhem was letting me watch Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Joker killing that one guy in Batman was pretty gruesome. I had a lot of the batman toys, same with Jurassic Park, had model kits, and the gigantic jaw breaker that came like a necklace.

^This comment pretty much sums up everything that is wrong with the Transformers fandom these days. It's a movie based on a series of KID'S TOYS. The main reason these movies are being made is to sell KID'S TOYS. Hasbro's main demographic is KIDS. What part of that do you not understand?

Yeah, the abnormality here isn't that the film's merchandise is being marketed to kids, it's that the movie meant to sell to kids wasn't kid-friendly.Metro Prime wrote:Sideshow Sideswipe wrote:This is not a kids movie. I just don't get the level of merchandise targeted to kids.

Kids dont really like "kid-friendly" stuff. They want to feel older, like they are getting away with something. They like things that feel like they are not supposed to be watching it.
It's why MTV's major demographic is 12-16.
that said, I actually love this little guy. I thought about getting one for my son...but I may have to pick me up one too. Kinda neat.

lol. I agree with you. I hated MTV. However, I do not think we are or were typical kids. At least we would not be today.
My point is, that kids like to feel older than they are. A good example of this was when the Avenger's toyline was out. The commercials for the role play toys were all kids 16 and older. Possibly 17. Kids like that. It makes them feel like what they do is mature, and thus, important.

Looks fake to me. The grey seems oddly inconsistent from part to part. Probably just had the paint scraped off and the plastic was painted/dyed grey.

What inconsistencies? The color looks pretty uniform to me. Also, do you realize how hard it is to remove paint in a way that won't damage the figure? It's especially improbable on a figure of that size.

I would have thought they'd just take the parts and make clear resin recasts of them. Recasting in resin is a very quick and easy way of duplicating parts, and is very common with counterfeits/knockoffs. It happens a lot with model miniatures and scale garage kits. And clear resin is hardly difficult to come by.
And this is assuming it isn't a photoshop, of course.
I mean, it COULD be the real deal, but I'm always wary of things claiming to be test shots. I know a lot of really rare toys and prototypes have been sold online only to turn out to be fakes/recasts- it happens a lot within the Jumbo Machinder fanbase/market.
Eh, I dunno. I'm always paranoid about these things, especially after nearly buying a fake Animated Arcee.

Well, lena usually seems to get figures straight from the factory. It's possible that some Chinese factory worker is cranking out unauthorized copies when nobody's looking.
Actually, a lot of these "test shots" and other high quality KOs seem to be created that way.
