"I definitely don't need this repaint."
"August, cool that means I get a good long break from buying MPs"
"Oh look! It's on HLJ. Might as well preorder it now."
It's a sickness isn't it?

Seems like it, maybe you should talk to Dr. Va'al, I'm sure he and Alpha-Bravo would be able to help
In all seriousness though, this guy looks great - moreso than the original, which looked fairly plain and lackluster; my only advice would be to consider selling mp magnus for this guy, if you can't live with both of them

Perhaps they were gonna do a one-shot for him, but decided later to make it a sub-line and release others

I can't part with Magnus, but Delta does look good in blue. I figure since I'm focusing on only collecting MPs from now on I might as well. Cancelling last minute is an option

I remember a magazine scan giving him the MP-B1 designation.

Welcome to Seibertron.com DiabloET, hope your stay is very enjoyable.
That magazine scan gave Primal the designation MP-31 although I can see how easily the 3 could be confused with a B at quick glance.

so what does the Biocard say? Unless you know, those statements have as much value as Starscream swearing to lay off usurping Megatron's position.
Prime examples of look alike figures who aren't who we think they are but actually not(not Optimus prime)
1. Pepsi Convoy
2. Masterforce Ginrai
3. Black Convoy MP-01 mold (a remote controlled shell by Daniel)
4. Black Convoy aka Scourge
So for guys and gals out there who know/can read kanji what's the background on this "character"?

You could have, they had him then too And plus the shipping is registered so you have tracking AND if you are in the US then you dont get taxed at customs. So that price is final When you feel up to it, I strongly recomend you give importing a shot

That $50 difference I ended up paying for Ultra Magnus could've bought me more stuff and things!! To be fair, I hadn't COMPLETELY shifted my collecting ideals when he came out
So the lesson here people, if you think you'll want this figure someday order him now while it's cheap!!

I strongly beleive that. Hence why I just bought Encore Fort Max. I would not get over it if he was no longer available online and I had to rely on ebay or other secondary market sources.

As my collecting is beginning to focus on the more expensive figures/sets, I'm finding this may be the way to go. I'm guessing if I had pre-ordered and imported all of the Takara Masterpieces I've ordered in the last year I probably could've saved a few hundred USD...william-james88 wrote:I strongly beleive that. This would even explain the yellow eyes as well, as the original toy's eyes had no color.
I think the Diaclone toy's inner robot (the blue Optimus Prime) may have had yellow eyes, which would be where the animators got the yellow.

So too did Optimus's original toy (both the Diaclone and TF versions) have yellow eyes (which the cartoon changed to blue), but the super robot eyes of the Ultra Magnus helmet were dark and colorless (for both the Diaclone and TF versions).Glarryg wrote:I think the Diaclone toy's inner robot (the blue Optimus Prime) may have had yellow eyes, which would be where the animators got the yellow.

I think picking up the original diaclone would be the better way to go, he comes with an extra transforming figure that we never got with the Hasbro release.

The eyes are holes so you could see the eyes of the driver through them. Motto: "Lies also shine bright."
Delta Magnus is part of a peacekeeping and relief mission in outer space, where he is a savior to the inhabitants of remote regions and planets; he was known of by Convoy, Supreme Commander of the Cybertrons, since early times. But even this legendary hero has a secret he won't divulge. He was once asked to be Earth's City Commander, but declined it, for those in Earth's forces also know of him from earlier times and he fears the possibility of the truth coming out.

Woho, what secret? That he used to be Ultra Magnus, the once great City Commander of Autobot City on Earth? And thus the one who was there when it all went to hell?
He might be Ultra Magnus from an untold future then.

And while I'm all about the wank this time around, Star Saber used the IDW interpretation on his card as well if I recall correctly.
