Fellow Seibertronian Emerje has sent along a notification about retail chain Target and their latest sale offer: spend $50 on toys and save $10, spend $100 and save $25; plus, you still get free shipping on orders $35! We also have confirmation that the offer works on both Target.com and in the brick and mortar store, for those wondering.
As Emerje says:
Target Exclusive Greatest Hits Bumblebee Cassette Pack and Soundwave are both in stock as well as Power Charge Bumblebee and Tiny Turbo Changers wave 3 among other things. There's a good opportunity to save a lot depending on what you're buying.
So head over to the site or your nearest store, and pick up some new (or old) toys you're after!

Most notably, the seemingly elusive Sqweeks makes an appearance. Take note he does not transform:
The Starter Packs, with the regular Optimus and Shadow Spark versions as well as Sqweeks, are $8.99
...while the standalones are $6.99
Next up are the RiD 2015 Combiner Force 3-Step Changers, with Optimus Prime, Power Surge Bumblebee and Soundwave:

Ah, thanks! I thought it was just the Optimus-sized figures that do. I obviously don't collect them.

He and Hound have shown up at Ross too. My Five Below still has the TLK One-Steps.

Can verify TJ Maxx is stocking the Allspark figs too. My local one had two Megatrons and the Shadow Spark Optimus.
My Ross did not however they are still stocking the later wave TLK deluxes. A worker put out a Wave 3 ‘bee and a Strafe. If interested this is the Ross on Hwy 378 in Lexington SC. Go grab ‘em.

HTS is offering PotP Predaking 20% off through eBay (currently $127.99). Additionally TODAY ONLY there is a 10% off code PICKUP10, that will get you additional savings. I just got my Predaking for $125.11 final price (no shipping cost, but there was tax) -Which I think is bogus, since HTS doesn't ship form my state, but whatever. $125 is certainly better than $172 (what it normally costs after tax) -it's certainly possible , as we've seen with past titans that there may be a better deal in the near future, but this was good enough for me.
edited to add links (sorry my work computer doesn't like eBay, had to finagle this in)

One particular item of note is the Bumblebee movie Soundwave, which is currently on sale for $44.99, $5.00 off already, and the coupon adds an additional 25% off that. The figure will still be eligible for free shipping, as the tax puts it over the $35 free shipping limit (I have done this, it works!)
The coupon is good until November 10.
So send a text, and get yourself 25% off some sort of item that Target has that you really want, and let us know what you get in the comments section below!

Not really, I don't think so, depends on preference. The blue is way more G1 (not purple-ish), the grey plastic on the arms and legs is very dark. The boom box molding could be considered better (I like it better). The eyes are painted with iridescent yellow.joevill wrote:Is this Soundwave worth picking up if we already have the previous version?

For those who might not remember, this 3-pack was a Target exclusive in the US, and it is the only Tiny Turbo Changer figure of Steelbane, one of the knights of Cybertron who got an individual retail toy in the same movie line as well. Steelbane comes packaged with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, with some interesting red details splattered all over them that are compatible with black lights, such as can be found on the giant Turbo Changer Dragonstorm figure.
For those in the UK looking for this set, head on over to your local Argos, and let us know if you discover this little 3-pack and what you think of it in the comments section below!

Probably not the case, but I wonder if BBTS had a buyer go out to Ollies and get some of these in bulk just to turn a profit??

Can you blame them? Or they bought from any of the several salvage suppliers. Selling things for profit is kinda their schtick.o.supreme wrote:DeathReviews wrote:I’ve already got Trypticon, but even so, this is a mighty tempting offer! 53% off on Titans Return Trypticon!

Indeed, it should be the mantra of any business who wants to be successful...
However, in this case, I think it is not likely. BBTS is not far from me, located in Western Wisconsin, as far as I remember. I believe that is an awful long away from the nearest Ollies.

I was going to insert a cheeky response here, but nothing felt right in this format. Just assume I was ribbing you a bit.
Without speaking for others, I wonder if the case has more to do with availability of things that are sold online for much more than the MSRP. For instance, say there was a limited store exclusive (Wreck Gar) that was just not found in many places because someone (or more than one) bought them outright at $18. Then, a bunch showed up on eBay for $50. I'd qualify that as scalping.
In this case, I think Tryppie has been available for some time at both MSRP and on sale. I think the collectors that may decry scalpers have had ample time to get him. So, I think this is a different case.
Personally, I struggle with the wait-and-see-if-goes-on-sale versus I-need-this-and-don't-want-to-miss-out. I mostly fall in the latter and end up paying slightly more than MSRP to get the figures I want online. (But, it is cool for army building, or the eventual customs I may someday do, to find the deals in this thread...)

I think we are looking at the causality all wrong. BBTS has other shit to do then drive miles to get some tryticons, especially when its not sure they will get some. Instead what makes way more sense is that this is the stock they are still stuck with from last year and now that fans can get tryptions for so cheap, this is the price that they evaluate their leftoever stock to be worth.

Well I got the bus to the nearest Argos and they didn't have that Tiny Turbo changer pack or even knew what i was talking about when asking about it. Cheapest Transformers item they had was TLK Deluxe Sqweeks for £9.99 and i got that figure when it first came out so I came home empty handed. Oh well. Them's the chips.

Still not driving nearly 2000 miles to Alabama (my nearest Ollies ). The idea of a TR compatible Cogman is really appealing, I just wonder if the Studio Series release head will alto be TR size... .
