go hate on the movie (that hasn't even released) somewhere else.

Well... yeah?Quantum Surge wrote:So Charlie being comforting to Bee makes the movie automatically different from the other movies.
...Still yep. (Not the presence of death per se, but the fact that half the cast gets killed off at the end of the movie (is that still a spoiler?) makes it tonally different than other MCU films, on the whole.)I guess that means Infimity War having death automatically makes it more different than all the rest of the otherwise similarly made MCU films (except for Phase 1)
Things like death (in a franchise that avoids it much of the time), or characters expressing kindness, or in fact any genuine emotion whatsoever, can and will drastically change a movie's tone compared to generic kill-the-bad-guys-we're-so-cool action stuff. Doesn't mean the action stuff is bad, just that this is different, whether you personally think so or not.

I think the bad guy winning definitely makes Infinity War far different than any other Marvek film. Thanks for that great comparison, it means this TF film will indeed be different than the rest.

The bad guy did kinda win in Civil War too. Take everything with a pinch of salt though, as anything could change. To fully be certain, we'll just have to watch the film when it debuts on December 21st this year!
Here is one snippet from the article.
So what iconic transformers can you expect to see in 'Bumblebee'? Fans will have a fun time scanning the battlefields on Cybertron for many instantly recognisable characters. Three that stand out in the film are Soundwave, Shockwave and Cliffjumper. Note that these are only brief cameos and most of them are not speaking roles
The article aslo points out how they will potentially look in the movie, but again this is not confirmed.
Fans of Transformer’s “Generation 1” will be pleased for the film will showcase many iconic autobots and decepticons- all which sport designs identical to their 1980s cartoon counterparts
What do you make of these rumours? Let us know in the comments below!

I’m SUPER excited to see the Cybertronian modes for the movie bots, though! I remember one of the DOTM novels had Optimus and Starscream in that opening scene on Cybertron, and I was a little disappointed that we didn’t see them in that scene of the movie.

meaning that they really dive deep into the lore of cybertron and thus the war will also be included and there will be voice acting for some of the listed characters
once again this makes my hopes for this movie go up and higher

Or like, Soundwave gets a single generic line during the 30-to-90-second Cybertron sequence.
Personally I'm guessing it's somewhere in between those two, but we I wouldn't advise getting your hopes too high for a lore deep-dive, since this movie is pretty definitively about the emotional core of a relationship on earth.

I'm thinking along those lines as well, cybertron is just starting the plot. We'll see snippets of battles then prime will tell bee to get to earth.

So they stand out by not getting to speak? Uhhh okay then.
As much as I do think that this will be a good movie. I do hope they don't focus too much on Bumblebee. Don't get me wrong I don't wanna sound negative but Bee gets to be in everything and is often a main character with a lot of merch. I just wanna see some of the others get the spotlight outside of the big 3.

So at least some of them Speak I presume that these cameos are brief and are small generic war lines like.
"Take cover!", "He's over there!", "Watch that sniper!" Those kind of lines.
You do know they also don't have to speak to standout regardless anyways for example Cliffjumper could be an Autobot that get's killed by Shockwave in front of Bumblebee or something.
Also it's Bee's movie he is the main character so of course the focus will mostly be on him, after that it will be the Decepticons of the movie, then Optimus since he's more then a cameo although still not that big a presence overall, then the cameos which can either be characters in the background as screen fillers or minor characters that get a couple of minutes and lines to themselves. (Like Say Barricade is an after credits scene or something)
That's not including the human characters as well since there is Charlie who will most certainly have a lot of spotlight, her family and friends including that male friend or brother, Burns and the rest of Sector Seven and who knows who else.

Their latest issue is auctioning off a Willys Jeep which is supposed to be the first alt mode for Bumblebee himself, in the opening - though not the opening opening, as we saw that it will be set on Cybertron here - as we saw in the trailer, and as confirmed in the San Diego Comic Con 2018 footage from the panel (while pursued by John Cena / Agent Burns, and Blitzwing). All of this happens before he takes on the iconic Volkswagen beetle mode. You can check out the auction below, and some screencaps from the trailer to confirm the alt mode jeep parts, and join the conversation!

The point is that it's a figure from a time when Hasbro was in a different toy industry economy with different budget levels and conformities that they adhered to. Things have changed a lot since then, most drastically around 2012 when the Generations line suddenly had all of the FOC toys made smaller. Universe Hound was a figure made for a different time in a different economy with different budgetary conditions than those of today, hence why most figures from several lines ago that get surprisingly reused in lines from much later nowadays end up being either store exclusives, convention exclusives, or initiatives taken by Takara without Hasbro.Lunatic Prime wrote:So what's the point?Sabrblade wrote:As part of a store exclusive boxed set, not a normal retail figure.Lunatic Prime wrote:WHY?Sabrblade wrote:That mold is very probably too old to use for normal retail anymore.TF-fan kev777 wrote:The Universe Hound that came with Ravage looks like it would actually work pretty well with the grill placement and shoulder wheels.

So both classic Hound molds (Legends and Deluxe class) could be used and put into some kind of special edition box. Where's the problem now? I never said anything about how they'll release a retooled mold for BB.

It has a price of $83.99, and it is up to you whether this is a good price or not.
Images of the boxset have yet to surface, so as for how it looks, it's completely in the air.

Yeah, this is worth repeating since the article missed it. This is the 4K version of the movies, the regular BD release came out last year and goes for under $40.

The ONLY way I would purchase this, is if it came with ALL the exclusive/bonus content that every other release had. TLK was ridiculous in that at least 4 different retailers offered it, each with some sort of exclusive content not offered with the others. I just chose the one I wanted the most (which turned out to be the Target store version), no way I was going to purchase that lousey film 4 times. Also the price would have to come down to $50 or under (I figure $10 per movie, for all that bonus content is worth it, even if the movies themselves aren't very good)
Also, some may not remember, but the first film got a re-release in IMAX that had a couple of new scenes, has that version ever been released on any media format?
Posted by Sabrblade on August 24th, 2018 @ 6:36pm CDT
Ditto. Bonus content matters to me, so that would be a deciding factor for me as well.o.supreme wrote:The ONLY way I would purchase this, is if it came with ALL the exclusive/bonus content that every other release had.
Negative. ROTF is the only one that saw a home release of its extended IMAX edition, as a Walmart exclusive. 'Course, it's also the only one of the films besides the first to have even gotten an extended cut for IMAX at all.o.supreme wrote:Also, some may not remember, but the first film got a re-release in IMAX that had a couple of new scenes, has that version ever been released on any media format?

Five single discs literally taped together, with Megan Fox's chest on one of the covers, Sam Witwicky on one of them, and Mark Wahlberg on the other three
Digitally altered Shia LaBeoff out of the films where his face is just replaced with a blur and his lines are rerecorded by Michael Bay, but instead of the original lines he says things like "BUHMBULBEEH" over and over and "I dont appreciate good directing!"
Michael Bay decides to use this rerelease to fix the plot hole about why Kade Yager is so buff in AOE by digitally inserting new footage of Wahlberg working out in every scene of the original 3 movies.
The scene describing the Romeo and Juliet laws is repeated twice; once in slow motion to get the point across and again with commentary by Michael Bay about how much it makes sense
Seriously if they dont do all those things I don't think it'll be worth the $84 price tag.
