This holiday weekend, Space Ape Games is hosting "Decoy Dash," the first in-game event for their hit free-to-play combat strategy game, TRANSFORMERS: EARTH WARS -- now available on iOS and Android. In addition to in-game rewards, "Decoy Dash" will debut two new female Transformers, ARCEE and NIGHTBIRD, as part of the event, adding to an incredible strong lineup of strong female characters in the game.

"Decoy Dash" begins on Friday, July 1 at 10:00am GMT and runs through Monday, July 4 at 10:00am GMT. Players that are at Level 4 and above can collect prizes, gather Battle Points and earn Decoy Crystals for a chance to win two new Transformers characters, ARCEE (AUTOBOT) and NIGHTBIRD (DECEPTICON). Both characters feature the all-new Holo Decoy ability, which places a decoy that distracts enemies and soaks up damage.

Transformers Earth Wars "Decoy Dash"

ARCEE has been dispatched on a mission by Optimus Prime but ran into trouble when NIGHTBIRD caught up to her. The two have been crossing paths routinely as NIGHTBIRD tries to put an end to ARCEE's do-good acts. However, as the battle on Earth heats up, Optimus has sent a signal for ARCEE to return to the Autobots! After failing to eliminate ARCEE, NIGHTBIRD has been recalled by Megatron to finish the job. Battle to win Decoy Crystals to lock onto their signal using the Space Bridge and recall them back to Earth!

Battle Points can only be earned by being victorious in an Event Battle Zones which are accessed through the event menu. Players can earn more Battle Points, Bonus Experience, and gain Double XP during the Decoy Dash Event.

Arcee
Appearances... can be deceptive. Quick witted and formidable in battle, Arcee is compassionate to her allies but utterly merciless to her enemies. Streamlined bodywork and light alloy construction only mean she's faster, more agile and ultimately deadlier than most of her fellow Autobots. A master of many weapons, from blasters to swords, ultimately Arcee is a living weapon in her own right.

Nightbird
Programmed with the skills of a mighty ninja, the non-sentient Nightbird developed a full meta-processor brain after being implanted with one of Bombshell's cerebro shells, which merged with her own simulated intelligence. Nightbird became one of the greatest threats to the Autobots, even more so when - as Bombshell was reformatted - she gained true sentience and freedom of thought.

This is the second event, we had one last weekend that got us lots of goodies including up to 3 premium character crystals.

Since this is just a Space Ape press release, I'm surprised they made that error.

Just lucked out and got Brawl with a non-decoy crystal - a 2-star Brawl, no less - and man do I wish this is how his Combiner Wars toy looked. I'm not entirely sure how they'd pull it off though, what with the front treads folding up inside the turret and the arms seemingly coming out of nowhere...

Yeah, I noticed he's a gunner with an ability similar if not identical to Long Haul - my 2-star Long Haul I was lucky enough to get about a week ago having been very useful.

I've made (well, overhauled) a list of all the characters, separated by class, mostly to see what characters are in which tiers but it can be used however you like. The list is here. If an autobot player would be willing to screencap the entire Autobot game roster (from the Team menu in the bottom left when you're at your base) so I can add them, that would be fantastic!

Anyone else finding the current event's requirements just a tad hard to reach? I mean... 17,500 BP in three days??? I only need to get to 5,000 BP for enough shards to make a 3-star Crystal and I don't think I'll be able to even reach that

I really hate to keep complaining like this; but I've been getting a ton of errors and forced restarts during this event - this has never happened once before and I play a lot; yet today it happened so many times I lost count. Anyone else?

Just a heads up...

Earlier I had been attacked, the log showed I lost, but the replay showed I won, said "Victory!" -19 And all the Bots died.

I contacted support and received the following:

Hello Rebecca,

Thanks for contacting us about this.

After reviewing the battle in our database I can confirm that you did in fact lose these battles.

The replay that you are shown in game is not an actual video recording of the battle but just a reenactment based on data that was gathered, this data can sometimes be subject to damage which ends up showing you a different outcome than what actually happened, and may occur when an update has just been released. However, the battle log will always contain the correct result. The team are looking into this and hope to improve it for a future update. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

In other news, an Autobot friend of mine shared his roster, so the list is now complete. Some observations: both factions have the same number of characters and units, but the Autobots have more Air class characters while the Decepticons have more Warriors. Both sides have the same number of Special, Gunner, and Medic units. On both sides, the Air class is the only one with all characters obtainable at all four rarities.

Hopefully they'll add more air to the Cons, we'really missing so many characters, I can think of 7 off hand. And a few of them can have flamethrowers!

... though, considering using special powers is what triggers transformation in this game, I wonder how triple changers would be handled... I can totally imagine Blitzwing turning into a jet, flying up to a target and blasting it in tank mode.

Pretty skeptical at first about trying this game given how the last TF mobile game I liked was the Legends card game, but Earth Wars has probably proven to be a really good mobile game thus far I feel in some ways. Well as good as you can get with a Free-to-play/Freemium/Pay to Win game. I joined an alliance already and participated in a few battles to try it all out. I'm just more focused on upgrading and arranging my defenses and getting the story mode out of the way.

Also I want Shockwave and Soundwave already.

To be fair, I didn't know about Seibertron's alliance until I saw this thread the other day.

I am thinking about joining up though. I just haven't gotten around to it yet as I've been refining my base and all that stuff to make sure I can start winning defensively. I'll probably switch within the next couple days when I go to do more than just collecting alloy and energon. Are you guys full in your alliance?
